More On Jason Duggar's Wedding

It has been almost one month since Jason and Maddie Duggar tied the knot in a beautiful, East Tennessee ceremony. Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo attended the wedding all the way from Los Angeles. They discuss the event in detail in the latest episode of their podcast. They also have an additional YouTube video that features footage of the wedding. Their conversation includes talk about the dance that Jason and Maddie had, which was a first for a Duggar.

  1. "Security making sure no one crazy comes in" - not a very Christian thing for Jinger to say.

    1. Apparently they were afraid of wedding crashers, although I can't imagine why.

    2. Huh? She's being honest, which is a Christian quality.

    3. In this day and age, I don't blame the Duggars for hiring security. We live in a dangerous world and many church functions have been attacked and some persons even killed.
Being a Christian in today's world is dangerous. We are told in Proverbs to be "aware, not naive."

    4. @12:43 Since when is calling other people crazy a Christian quality? And 2:38, you can hire security all you want, but that doesn't entitle you to deem people "crazy." That is a derogatory term.

    5. Maybe you didn't know that at Jinger's wedding there WAS a security issue.

    6. @10:24 Agree. Who would want to crash such a wedding? Do they think they're still that hot of a commodity for paparazzi?

    7. Because it's happened to them at another wedding, 10:24. Now you don't have to imagine why.

    8. Pretty judgemental to call people "crazy." Maybe her church, her husband, or her family encourages that word. Someone taught Jinger to use it.

    9. Hire security if you think you need it. But don't go on camera saying that you think other people have a mental health condition when you know absolutely nothing about them and there may not even be any real reason to worry. That clip said a lot about Jinger and how she thinks about others.

    10. You don't think crashing a wedding is crazy? Because I do.

    11. To 6:20 PM: I never called anyone "crazy". I wrote that the Duggars are being "aware" of the situation.
      From 2:38 PM.

    12. Jinger was the one who called people "crazy" in the video. She was the one in the wrong.

    13. 11:46, out of all people Jinger has the most right to comment about this because she herself had trouble at her own wedding with someone trying to crash the wedding.

    14. Some of you missed the point. The point is you don't go on camera calling other people crazy. It's not polite.

    15. Calling people crazy doesn't fall into "Jesus first, others second, yourself last." Disappointed to hear Jinger say that about someone. She could have politely said "uninvited people" without calling them crazy.

    16. 1:54, calling them crazy or a thief doesn’t matter. The bottom line is they were not invited so they shouldn’t be there. No reason to be polite. It’s not polite to crash someone’s wedding Duggar or not.

    17. It really showed how quick Jinger is to call people that. And 3:41, two wrongs don't make a right.

  2. They can discuss Jana's new kitchen on their next podcast. lol

  3. What kind of dance was that with Jason and Maddie? All they did was stand there in one spot and sway. Someone should have taken him for dancing lessons before the wedding, the way Jana must have had.

    1. Either they should have had lessons or skipped having dancing altogether.

  4. The family looks so natural in this video, relaxed and enjoying each other.

  5. I don't understand the appeal of podcasts. Who has 45 minutes to listen to those two talk to each other? How do they have 45 minutes (probably longer, unedited) to sit and film each other? There are better things to do with your life. Give your growing kids attention. Give others attention. Work at your job. Make the world a better place by volunteering (I guarantee you that will put life in perspective unlike any podcast can). Do anything but spend hours doting on yourselves! On your dying day, will you wish you had done more podcasts, or wish you had done something else? (This goes to all podcasters, not just these two.) Are Jinger and Jeremy convinced that their ramblings are important to the world? If so, I truly feel sorry for them. Think about it.

    1. Actually if you listen to a podcast while you're driving or exercising or doing chores you're actually accomplishing more, not less.

    2. I agree with you. I hate podcasts. I listened to a few but decided I have better things to do with my time.

    3. I think I understand why there are so many accidents and near-misses on the road these days. Drivers are distracted listening to podcasts. Also all kinds of assaults with people walking or jogging (exercising) with earbuds in, not paying attention to their surroundings. It's not good to multitask like that when out in public or operating a vehicle.

    4. Driving with a podcast on is no different from driving with the radio on.

    5. When you listen to podcasts then later and think of what else you could have done with that time, it's clear you don't need to spend that much time listening to other people talk, especially if they're talking about themselves. They're wasting that time, too!

    6. 5:42 Background music doesn't require the same concentration as listening to a podcast.

    7. 8:13, music isn't the only thing you can listen to on the radio

  6. Duggars aren't Hollywood movie stars. Don't need security. Really going overboard now. Not any different than anyone else . Others who have multiple kids/adults too.

    1. Jinger's wedding had a security issue. Their family is still in the public eye.

    2. Not sure where you live but around here everyone has security at their weddings and receptions. Either moonlight police offices or a private security company.

    3. 7:58 security is lacking at many weddings. My brother and his wife crashes weddings at hotels just about about every weekend. They put a (empty) sealed envelope in the tray at the reception desk and then go in and enjoy a lot of drinks and food.

      Delete
    4. @11am Do everyone a favor. Send the hotels in their area a picture of them and tell the hotels what you just told us. If you have knowledge of this and aren't reporting it, then you're aiding it. (If this is true.)

    5. @11am, that’s why everyone does it here. Eliminates stealing anything including food or drinks.

      Delete
    6. @3:36 Unless the bride and groom have given security pictures of every guest, there's no way for them to know who's crashed when everyone is mingling and dressed nicely. Family is usually distracted at these events and could assume the intruders are people they never met from the other side of the family. Blend in with the crowd, don't draw attention to yourself, and chances are nobody would notice you for quite awhile, if ever. Security sure wouldn't.

    7. 11:00 another good gig is to have a bunch of kids and only take them to restaurants where “kids eat free.”

  7. Yes, traveling out of the country when expecting is not a good gamble. Remember back when this family traveled to China and Japan? Their producer's wife, expecting a baby, went with them. What happened? She went into labor unexpectedly and her baby was born in China. Complicates matters. It can happen and it has happened. Err on caution I say.
