Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have two sets of twin children, and they will soon welcome their first set of twin grandchildren! Who are the lucky parents of multiples? We will give you a hint: Dad is a twin himself, and he will now have double the children. Well that only narrows it down to Jedidiah and Katey Duggar, Jeremiah and Hannah Duggar, and John and Abbie Duggar.
Here's another hint: This couple's other two children just turned one and two in May. So that means that the parents are Jedidiah and Katey! They surprised both families with the announcement of twins and the gender reveal at the same time. You can watch the video footage on their YouTube account.
Wow. They seem very excited about it. I'd be overwhelmed to have that many children so close in age.
ReplyDeleteIt's where their hearts are at so of course they're excited.
DeleteYou can be excited AND overwhelmed. That is actually true of lots of life changes.
DeleteEven if overwhelmed, you would record that for eternity or want you children to know you weren't excited to welcome them.
DeleteI would be excited to be having twins too. What a blessing!
DeleteCongratulations to Katey & Jedidiah!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAre they trying to outdo JB and Michelle? Imagine the mountain of diapers they're going to need.
ReplyDeleteYes actually. Jed told his dad they were trying to catch up with them in the vid where they announced Nora was on the way.
DeleteIf I counted right that will be 4 kids under 3....oh my gosh.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds awful, right?
DeleteIt's their choice. I'd be happy to have just one. Sigh.
DeleteWe had our first 4 in 2 and a half years. (We had twins ). Really was the most amazing time(hard, but amazing)
DeleteHonestly I think twins are a blessing. They should be very excited.
DeleteHow is this "their choice" when they supposedly leave everything up to God? Or at least say they do, while not doing anything to prevent pregnancy.
Delete@10:57 their choosing to leave everything up to God. that's the choice. God doesn't force His people to place the womb in His hands. He would rather they did because the Bible is clear that its His jurisdiction, but He leaves that choice up to them because its about free will. One choice may be the wrong one, but its still a choice.
Delete10:57- it's their choice NOT to use birth control 😀
DeleteCONGRATULATIONS DUGGAR FAMILY 🩷🩷. I have been waiting for this....
ReplyDeleteCongrats Jed and Katie. When are Jeremiah and Hannah having their baby?
ReplyDeleteBrielle: (Hannah & Jeremiah's second child,) arrived this past February.
DeleteJer and Hannah have two little girls, I don't think she is currently expecting.
DeleteWhere did they announce the birth? Did I miss it on the blog?
DeleteThat is a self-contradictory statement.
DeleteYes, Jeremiah and Hannah’s 2nd baby’s birth was announced on the blog
Delete9:04, what were you referring to?
DeleteNeddy Constant
DeleteThere is a youtube video of them
Doing a gender reveal on their
YouTube channel. Twin girls YES
Time 1:13PM Fri 7/26/24
After 35 grandchildren, finally twin grandbabies! That is really exciting for the whole family. Congratulations! That's going to be four children under the age of three for Jed and Katey! Wow!
ReplyDeleteJosh - 7, John -David - 2, Jill - 3, Jessa - 5, Jinger - 2, Joseph - 3 (or more ?), Josiah - ?, Joy - 3, Jed - 2 + 2 on the way, Jer - 2, Justin - ?. Anyone know exactly how many for Joe, Siah, and Justin (if any) to get to the magic number of 35?
DeleteJoseph has been spotted w/ 4 kids, and Josiah w/ 3. Including the twins on the way, that would add up to 35.
DeleteJoseph reportedly has 2 more and Josiah 1 maybe 2 more since stepping away from the spotlight aside from occasional appearances on siblings vlogs and Justin has not had any yet still (surprisingly).
DeleteJoe-4
DeleteJosiah-3
Justin-0
Congratulations to Jedidiah and Katey up coming of their twin daughters in 2025
ReplyDeleteWOOOOOW WOOOOOOW, PLEASE TAKE X CARE OF U, BUT YOUR FEET UP, AND I LOVE U GUYS LIKE A SISTER, U 6 !!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd please don't ride around in the car again without your seat belt on, Katey.
DeleteHow nice! Congratulations to them!
ReplyDeleteOh my word! Congratulations to Jed and Katie on having twins. Came across the video on YouTube announcing they were having twins and got so excited,I clicked on the video so fast and watched it. I'm so happy they are having twin girls. It's a different change from the boy/girl and boy/boy twins Jim Bob and Michelle had. Have always thought one of the twins would have twins if it also ran in their spouse's family genetics and now it's happening. Watch out Bates family, the Duggar's are getting two grandkids at once first.😁😉
ReplyDeleteIt's identical twins, which happens randomly and has nothing to do with the genetics.
Delete12:31 -yes twins are genetic
DeleteAnd if it were fraternal twins (2 eggs) it would only be relevant if fraternals were in the mom's family.
DeleteCongratulations. Prayers sent for healthy babies and Mom.
ReplyDeleteWow! Super excited for Jed and katey! Twins! And girls, lol. That makes 18 granddaughters for jim bob and Michelle!
ReplyDelete19
DeleteSo excited to hear this amazing news! I knew she was expecting after the birthday video of their daughter and she mentioned how tired she was,but I never thought about the possibility of twins. So happy for them! For the people stating how awful it would be to have twins, my Mom had twin girls and the one twin sister passed away after 4 days. Having twins isn't awful, losing one if them is. Think before you type. Congratulations to the family!!!
ReplyDeleteNobody said twins were awful. Just that many kids under the age of 4 all at once. It'll be Diaper City and someone will always be crying.
DeleteIm a twin, identical girl. I'd love to have more then one set of twins Of my own someday!
DeleteDidn't they just have a girl???
ReplyDeleteNora just turned one
DeleteIn 2023.
DeleteI hope this teaches them about watching the calendar and practicing self-control. I know it won't teach them about actual birth control devices.
ReplyDeleteOh, my word. You think they will regret having these children? What an awful thing to say.
DeleteWhy is it you birth control people have to make such remarks? Jed and Katey don't need to be taught anything. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE TO HAVE LOTS OF KIDS IN GOD'S TIMING! We're not dumb or naive about bc. People like us just have a different opinion, choice or conviction (in my case conviction).
DeleteI don't think they want to exercise birth control options....they may want to after twins, we'll have to wait and see.
DeleteHow rude
Delete@7:25 pm So is what you are really saying they are being "punished" by having twins?
DeleteWhy should they "practice self control"? God created physical intimacy and the procreation of children. The only reason God gives for marital abstinence is for a consensual time of prayer and fasting. It's nice of you to encourage their spiritual lives, though.
DeleteI never remember reading anything in the Bible about God telling you to have kids bam bam bam all in a row, non-stop. Those were the days 2000 years ago when women died in childbirth and nobody cared about their mental or physical health before during or after pregnancy. "Multiply" doesn't mean every 9 months. Can't believe some of you see nothing strange about that.
Delete@6:15
DeleteLovely thoughts, but -
You would turn around and condemn a pregnant teenage girl or single woman.
Also women are free to say no whenever. They are not obligated to do something they don't want to do.
7:25 ..what a silly comment. Self control is before you marry. After you marry..no need for self control. This is truly a blessing from God, identical twins are very rare.
Delete12:58 Of course there's need for self-control at every time in your life, in everything you do. It's a silly comment to say otherwise.
Delete3:33 there are no guarantees that anyone will get pregnant or continue to get pregnant and carry to term. Many couples struggle with infertility and may never get pregnant or have one pregnancy and never have a full term pregnancy again, like myself. I am thankful for my biological and adopted children. I’m so happy for the expected identical twins..and I agree that if they want more children they should try for them, God is sovereign, and will decide if they will be blessed with more.
DeleteHow exciting! Children are such a blessing. We are due with twins in November and will have 7 ages 7 and under! It’s the best, not a day passes that I don’t thank God for all these blessings.
ReplyDeleteI think birth control can be a blessing, too. It's great that having 7 children ages 7 and under is the best for you, but it's not necessarily what's best for every other woman.
DeleteI have 2 friends with 7 kids each. 11 and under and 8 and under respectively. It's beautiful. If God lets me, that'll be me someday. My minimum is 8 but I'd be happy with more!
DeleteI was only able to have 1. I wouldve liked more kids but my body couldn't handle it.
Delete@8:03 Why are you setting a minimum number of kids you'll have someday? You have no idea what the future holds and setting an expectation seems like it could also set up disappointment, or guilt if you change your mind later. Why not take life as it comes? Make that decision later. Do you even have a spouse at this point? Are they on board with this plan?
Delete@9:32 you against me having a goal/desire/dream? I'd shoot for eight, but if God wants me to have more i will. If less, yes I'd have to learn to be content with that. I just don't believe in limiting the number of kids i have so i have no intention of having the usual 3 only. Obviously if i can't get pregnant that's another matter altogether but i won't be the one making that happen! I'll certainly be disappointed if that were the case but i pray it won't be. And any guy i marry will have to be in agreement on the birth control thing. I'm entitled to my beliefs on that.
DeleteWith your group you have 7 year olds that can help get things or items without supervision. I think Jed and Kateys oldest is 3 and will still need supervision
DeleteTheir daughter is a year old and won't be helping anytime soon.
@7:51 Why don't you believe in limiting the number of kids you'll have? What is the reason for this goal? Self-fulfillment? World domination? Seriously, I've never heard anyone explain the real reason why they would want to add to the population like that.
DeleteHope she has a healthy pregnancy. These many kids so close together can put a real strain on her body
ReplyDeleteThat is true. She needs to be aware of mineral depletion, avoid caffeine, get as much rest as possible, and try not to stress about things. I learned all that the hard way.
Delete@3:26 Obviously the Duggars don't care about this or they'd do something about it. They're counting on youth and luck. Both of those run out someday tho.
DeleteLike she doesn't know the state of her own body. I think she can figure that out better then you. Good grief, did you see how great a shape she was at Noras bday party? People get this idea that regular birthing causes women to be fat and frumpy. It's not true. It's called proper diet and regular exercise.
Delete@8:01 Do you know anything about pregnancy? It puts a strain on the heart, the rest of the cardiovascular system, the kidneys, and the liver, which are "working for two." It surges hormones and challenges proteins in the body. It stresses the muscles and bones. That's just the pregnancy. Delivery can bring its own dangers. Post-partum, women can deal with depression, blood clots, and all sorts of complications brought on by the pregnancy or delivery. Having child after child with only short breaks between can amplify all these problems. "Fat and frumpy" is the least of the concerns. "Diet and exercise" is not the solution to everything.
DeleteI'm sure she visits the Dr guys...
DeleteOh sure we've seen the kinds of doctors this family visits. Family friends, sisters who want to be midwives but aren't, etc. Deliver at home, call 911 later.
Delete801, you make pregnancy sound like a disease. It’s what our female bodies are wonderfully made for. Until recent times when birth control was developed we had them one right after another. There can always be complications even if you don’t have them close together.
DeleteMy apologies to 801, my comment should have been directed to 612!
DeleteFolks, quit treating pregnancy like a disease! there's so much fear surrounding it these days people start to view kids as a negative thing. Actually studies show that with each new baby a woman has her chances of getting breast cancer go down. The body does its job well if we humans don't mess it up with bad food, bad drugs and unhealthy lifestyles. and yes i know plenty about pregnancy. Seriously, don't assume I'm naive. I don't speak about that which i don't know. My point is, the trend is to focus on all the so-called "negative" aspects of a natural event. That's a wrong perspective. The doctors and midwives have that under control. Its a new life, so let's focus on this positive aspect. Honestly when a woman gets pregnant people act like they should send her a sympathy card. You have any idea how backwards that is? Its congrats folks. That what you say. Her health is her responsibility and Jed's and the doctor's. They don't need you making these remarks.
DeleteSome of you are talking naively about pregnancy and need to think about women who have had things go wrong and the doctors who have fought valiantly to save both the life of the mother and the newborn. No, it's not a disease, but it is a CONDITION. One with an entire branch of medicine devoted entirely to what it entails and what can happen.
Delete7:47 With any pregnancy, there are risks for diabetes, pre eclampsia, high blood pressure that strains the heart, C section, anemia, hperemesis, depression, hemorrhage, stillbirth, infections. Some can have long term effects, along with uternine prolapse, bladder leakage and varicous veins. It is dishonest to minimize these risks, IMO. I don't think any woman's body was meant to endure relentless pregnancies and childbirths. If someone wants to subject themselves to it many times over, yes, that's their choice. But no one is obligated to cheer them on.
Delete@ 8:40 am, Yes!!!! Thanks you! 100%!!! As much as we don't like to think about it, each time a woman gets pregnant she takes her life into her hands. Pregnancy and birth are beautiful miracles but just because something is natural doesn't mean it's safe or without negative side effects.
DeleteCongratulations Jedidiah and Katey for having the first set of twin grand children. I'm excited they're twin girls. I enjoyed watching the gender reveal, I thought it was neat. I never would've thought of that idea. If possible I hope to see the birth of the twins and I pray for a healthy birth.
ReplyDeleteMy dad and I are praying spin off.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Twins. Here some Name Ideas: Judith and Junice, Jubilee and Addallee, Bernice and Bethany, Hayden and Hailey, Isla and Lila, Eden and Esther, Emilia and Olivia, Valerie and Tiffany,

DeleteCongratulations on this huge blessing! What a blessing from God..twins are so rare and we so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteCongrations on the twins
ReplyDelete11:10 I don't see how twins are so rare. Triplets maybe. I have twins. My Moma was a twin. Her half-brother was a twin. There's a few sets of twins where I work. (school). I went to school with twins. Twins actually have their own convention. I guess I'm trying to say I don't understand your view point.
ReplyDeleteCongrations Guys I'm a Twin
ReplyDelete3:18.. wow you have been blessed to know so many identical twins. I have only known three sets my whole life.
ReplyDeleteWOW, I JUST GOT IT , 4 YEARS=4 BABIES!!!!! THANK GOD, THEY HAVE HELP!!!! 🙏🙏🙏 I, JUST THINK WOW!!!! NOT, IN A BAD WAY, BUT WOOOW!!!
DeleteThey don't need help you as a parent figure things out. Not easy am sure but they will get through it with the grace of God. Have no choice.
DeleteThey cannot know yet whether the twins are identical or fraternal
