Baby Seewald #5 arrived on December 19th, which means that Jessa and Ben were finally able to reveal the secret that they had been keeping for the last several months of Jessa's pregnancy. It's a boy! This little guy joins two older brothers and two older sisters.
Even though he is the youngest, he was the biggest at birth, weighing in at 9 lbs 14 oz just a few days before his due date. Spurgeon Seewald weighed 9 lbs 11 oz, Henry Seewald weighed 8 lbs 11 oz, Ivy Seewald weighed 7 lbs 14 oz, and Fern Seewald weighed 8 lbs 5 oz. Jessa's birth story has just been uploaded to YouTube.
Bet totally looked like he didn't want to be there. Or was going to pass out.
ReplyDeleteHe looks tired.
DeleteBirth makes some people queasy, there are a lot of strong smells going on. That's not really something one can help, so no need to be mean.
Delete@11:45 Why wouldn't Ben understand this by the 5th time? He's the reason she's in this spot anyway.
DeleteYeah..... Nobody tells you how exhausting it really is during and after birth. The bleeding and smells. Or the nurses bad morning breath of you are giving birth in the morning. I shudder at the memories.
DeleteBoth Jessa and Ben looked exhausted. If you haven't had a baby before it can be. Labor and delivery don't always happen during the day and it can last for hours. And days! I'm sure Ben was worried for his wife as most men are and they don't like to see their wives in pain.
DeleteBen has had a lot of birth trauma with Jessa's previous complications. It never gets any easier- don't be hard on him.
DeleteJessa once said that Ben like to be up by her head and not down near the messy stuff.
DeleteSuch a sweet video, Ben was clearly emotional and just loving every moment. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteDidn't watch the story. However, I am not sure why it was such a big secret that it was a boy. We all have better things to do than worrying about the sex of their baby.
ReplyDeleteWell it seems like you are worrying about it if it upsets you that they kept the gender to themselves until the baby was born.
DeleteBecause they have a right to keep it a secret. Duh!
DeletePerhaps they wanted to keep that to themselves for long as they could like a lot of couples do.
DeleteNo,not worried be excited about finding out the sex of the baby you mean, and since that doesn't interest you, watching the birth story on utube doesn't interest you, why do you come on this website, just find another site that sparks your interest.
DeleteIn rare instances the sex can’t be determined right away. So there is a valid reason to wait on the announcement.
DeleteSometimes it can be wrong. The early test is usually wrong. Sometimes the ultrasound can play tricks on the tech. My brother wore pink for the first year of his life.
Deletecongrats on the new baby! Merry Christmas to you and the family!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Mom and dad looks so tired. I hate when doctors think you can hold the baby in... You with think they would know that's not gonna happen by now lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet video. Then was clearly emotional as well And I’m sure will be loving on this sweet new addition. What a sweet time of life!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations everyone!! I can't believe how big the baby was! I hope Jessa is ok!❤

ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Jessa and Ben! Just watched the birth story on YouTube. So beautiful. Brings back memories of when I had my kids, who are adults now. Nothing like the moments when you meet your babies for the first time. Priceless, magical and a blessing from God.
