Jed and Katey Duggar welcomed their second child, Nora Kate Duggar, in late May. They uploaded her birth story to YouTube, for fans who are interested. Had she arrived a few weeks earlier, Nora would have been born exactly one year after her brother, Truett, whose birthday is May 2nd.
Nora arrived days after cousin Gunner James Forsyth. She was the tie breaker, as Gunner's birth gave Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar an even 15 granddaughters and 15 grandsons. With the addition of Nora, they now have 31 grandchildren.
Could you give us a list of all of the grandchildren. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteOne granddaughter's presence was revealed in the video from last Christmas. One grandson (?) was spotted at a restaurant before that. Yeah, it would be nice if someone gave us an accurate count. We don't need private details, just a count.
DeleteI believe Josiah and Lauren had another secretly last year as did Joseph and Kendra (as both were spotted in videos with baby bumps on those who have YouTube channels). And John David and Abby had a boy last Fall.

ReplyDelete15 to 15 is 30, not 31... Which Jim Bob said in Gunner birth vlog once Nora was born it would be 15 boys & 16 girls. But I know you all will not share the unnamed/who's child until it is revealed by their family. Both Gunner & Nora's births were lovely
ReplyDeleteWish they gave an exact date when she arrived so we know how many days apart she is from Gunner. In fact,there is barely no information except her weight at birth in the video.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure if the parents feel this is relevant, they'll let people know. For the rest of us who don't even know them personally, perhaps we can just be pleased these children exist (or if you are the type who post here talking about how "this family doesn't need more.____", you do you.).
DeleteKatey's due date was May 24th, She said she was induced the next day, early in the morning, Nora was born in the afternoon - it's May 25th.

When Kendra would announce a pregnancy she was torn to shreds online for having children so close together,or for wanting more than 2 kids.That's just one example as to how the families are treated for sharing the news. If that happened to me, I'd stop sharing the news too. Unfortunately for those of us who don't behave that way,we don't get to read the good news about all the new pregnancies and births. Sad really.

DeleteYou misread the statement. There were already 15 girls and 15 boys. Nora was grandbaby 31 and broke the tie. There are 3 boys that have not been announced. It's unclear WHO had them.

Don't forget Jeremiah and his wife have 1 baby girl, Brynley, plus Anna's 4, John-David's 1, Jessa's 2, Jinger's 2, Joseph's 2, Josiah's 1, Joy's 1, and Jedidiah's 1 (Nora) for a total of 15 girls that we know about, out of 16. And 13 boys out of 15 that we know about.

DeleteAn updated list is long overdue. What harm is there in listing babies and the year they were born? If the parents don't want to disclose names, then just say "Boy, 2022." It's not like they have to fight off swarms of paparazzi in their driveways in Arkansas. They're not planning on hiding these kids at home for the next 18 years either. What a silly game, "Guess the Babies."

Nora is a old name meaning honor and shining light. While on the surface that seems okay, the name has been tied to people involving scandals such as Nora Fatehi. The middle name... You might as well named her Karen. We don't need a second Kate Plus Eight.

I would like to think most people aren't petty and think, "Well, I can't name my child Hugo, because in the 14th Century there was some dude by that name who killed his grandfather." Also, I believe Nora's middle name is after her MOTHER. So, maybe not the whole Karen thing you described.
DeleteOh please Nora Fatehi is a Bollywood actress. I highly doubt any of the Duggars or most Americans even know who she is. I am Indian and even I had to look her up to see what scandal she was involved in.
