How long have you been following our blog? We made our first post in December 2009, so it's been a while. Do you remember when we posted about the Duggars' world tour? In September 2011, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their super-sized family visited Scotland, Ireland, England, and Israel.
A group of them returned to the Holy Land earlier this year (about 11.5 years after their first trip). Jedidiah and Katey Duggar uploaded a vlog to YouTube (link below). A few of the adult Duggar children stopped in Italy before meeting up with other family members and friends in Israel.

Israel is beautiful and fascinating! Enjoy your trip Duggars!
ReplyDeleteIsrael has been in a state of turmoil for weeks/months - Syrian rocket attacks, protests against the Israeli government, strikes.... Things had gotten so tense this winter that the US State Dept. finally issued a travel warning in early March.
DeleteI live in Israel. It’s intense , some days and weeks are more tense than others, but it’s not as intense as the news says. We live life freely.
DeleteIt can't be any more dangerous than visiting our cities in the US.
Delete@11:12 Even with the missile defense system, I don't know how your nerves take it.
DeleteTIL that Jesus was crucified in a bus station.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! :)
ReplyDeleteWhere can I watch the Duggars World Tour online?
ReplyDeleteJed and Katy have made vlogs, and I think it was Jason made vlogs, also.
DeletePRIMEWIRE TOO, HAS THAT FOR FREE!!!!!
DeleteThat would have been a good video if Jed had accurately told where he was and what happened there instead of trying to wing it on camera. I came away more confused about the names of those places and the events that happened there. West BankS, plural?
ReplyDeleteWith their background you'd think they would nail everything. Oh well guess they had fun.
DeleteHe didn't seem prepared to explain things.
DeleteHe's just vlogging. He's not doing this professionally for a TV show. Wow y'all.
Delete8:30 well its just a blog. Its not professional TV. Stop picking.
DeleteI'd believe that but all the Duggars monetize their videos, try to get subscribers, and try to get product endorsements. That makes it a job not a hobby, and if you're doing a job, you should do a good job.
Delete4:16 but a lot of people on that site does the same thing. And what's great it looks real. If it was to professional people would be coming up with all kinds of theories that someone is recording for them lol.
Delete"Duggar Studios" should know how to record.
DeleteHe was MOSTLY correct. He was not correct about the Capernaum synagogues, Mt Hebron, or the Mt of Beattitudes. I just got back from Israel and Jordan yesterday.
DeletePicking up and taking home rocks is not a good idea, Duggars. Not only could they get confiscated by Customs for possibly carrying foreign biological matter or for being an artifact (you must declare them and present them for inspection), you should not strip parks of their rocks. If everyone did that, there would be no landscaping left! You certainly can't take things like that from U.S. national parks. Unless bagged rocks are sold specifically as souvenirs, anything found in nature needs to be left there when visiting. I'm surprised whoever was guiding that tour group allowed them to even talk about picking up and taking rocks home.
ReplyDeleteYou know how it goes. There are rules and then there are Duggar rules.
DeleteLighten up. Unless they're removing things from a protected or historical site it's not that big a deal.
DeletePeople have been doing that for years. It would take millions of generations for that to happen. You are trying to hard to find something. And if you are more worried about rocks instead of grave robbers, there's something wrong my dear.
DeleteMy prediction is that the Duggars live by their own rules and dont follow rules that are else where. I am not an expert but rocks are what the people in Israel such as Palestinians or other Arabs throw at different people and having big events in order to help Hamas or another group like that. The Arabs have not been getting along with the Jews in Israel for a long time. I want to be clear NOT all ARABS are like this just SOME. The most important part of this did the Duggars and their church members learn and have meaningful discussions about what they saw.
DeleteI live in Israel and the States. You can bring small stones.
Delete@5:09 I thought they were at an historical site at that point. Taking rocks is not allowed in the US and no it doesn't take "millions of generations" to ruin a national park (@7:45). It's a criminal offense to remove anything found in a national or state park, as it should be.
Delete@7:45 Not sure what you're trying to get out, but the illegal removal of rocks from tourist sites happens much more often than "grave robbing." I haven't heard that term since I read Dickens in high school and met Jerry Cruncher. I believe he was referred to as a "resurrection man" although he called his tools "fishing gear."
DeleteIt's not illegal to take a rock lol. Here we go again. Trying to reach to far lol.
DeleteSmall stones is not illegal. That's only if its from a historical or graveyard site.
Delete@8:57 and @8:34 (since you are the same) Small stones ARE illegal if taken from any US national park. "Collecting, rockhounding, and gold panning of rocks, minerals, and paleontological specimens, for either recreational or educational purposes is generally prohibited in all units of the National Park System."
DeleteOK 8:34, try leaving any park with a bunch of stones or any other natural object found at a park. See what happens when someone else in the park or a park ranger sees you doing that. Guess that's the only way to learn.
DeleteNow I see where the problem of vandalizing parks stems from. Not only are people taking rocks, they're stacking them as some sort of symbol, and they're leaving those gaudy painted rocks behind. The park has to send workers out to un-stack the rocks, the painted rocks have to be collected and wait in storage until someone figures out how to dispose of them, and the rocks that are taken are a crime that's hard to catch happening, but it's happening and it is a crime. Why don't people understand that they're supposed to leave things alone in a park, and leave them as they found them? There's an entire social media-driven attitude problem causing feelings of entitlement. Stop and think, people! The world is not all about you and you alone and what you want to do. How would you like the public coming onto your property and taking things, or rearranging things, or vandalizing things?
DeleteAs a park ranger.... Please name one place that its illegal. I'll be waiting :)
DeleteFirst of all, I seriously doubt you are a park ranger 9:01. Second, if by some miracle you are a park ranger then you should be familiar with the Code of Federal Regulations where it's spelled out that rock collecting in parks is illegal without a permit. If you're a ranger and you don't know that, then someone didn't train you properly.
Delete9:01 since you didn’t learn this when you were training to be a park ranger I’ll gladly help you out. A quick google search let me know that it is illegal to take stones from: Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Glacier National Park, Smokey Mtns. ,Apache Junction, Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Daniel Boone National Forest to name a few as well as most state parks. There are parks that do allow it. As far as Israel is concerned, it does seem that it isn’t prohibited as long as damage isn’t done in the process.
DeleteHow peculiar that a park ranger suddenly shows up. One that isn't familiar with national park system rules either.
DeleteIf you bring back rocks from overseas, they MUST be declared at Customs and they MUST be brought out for inspection. They can be confiscated if they contain moss or algae or are otherwise deemed a potential agricultural or biological threat. They can also be confiscated if they are suspected of being some sort of artifact. I'm willing to bet the Duggars are not aware of this rule and never declared those rocks or had them inspected, or they wouldn't have been saying on camera that they were planning to do this.
DeleteHave fun traveling the world!
ReplyDeleteI HOPE MICHELLE, WILL BE ABLE TO RIDE A CAMEL THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
ReplyDeleteThat's all u could come up with? Let alone ride a camel with a dress or skirt on YIKES!
DeleteI'm not so sure that Michelle riding a camel is a good idea. The thought of her on a camel while wearing a skirt seems really weird.
DeleteTHE LAST TIME MICHELLE WAS IN ISRAEL, MICHELLE WAS PREGNANT, OK, AND SHE WANTED TO RIDE A CAMEL BAD, BUT SHE COULD NOT!!!!!! I LOVE MICHELLE, AND HOPE SHE GETS TO DO, SOMETHING SHE WANTED, BUT COULD NOT DO, DO TO BEING PREGNANT!!!!! I KNOW THE DUGGARS, BEEN WATCHING THEN SINCE 2007!!!!!
DeleteTO THE SECOND THING, ALL THE GIRLS WERE ON THE CAMEL EVEN IN SKIRTS, THOSE GIRLS CAN DO EVERYTHING IN A SKIRT, EVEN JOSEY, EVERYONE WENT ON CAMELS BUT MICHELLE!!!!!
DeleteJust because you "can" do everything in a skirt doesn't mean you should. Swimming in one is crazy and I've seen some girls try it in streetwear skirts, for the sake of "modesty."
DeleteJustine we are all here to leave opinions and thoughts. Lot's of people have also watched the Dugarrs since they came on TV too.
DeleteSince Michelle only wears dresses and skirts, she had better leave the camel riding to others, unless she wants to show a LOT of leg. lol
DeleteJustine quit printing in all caps. Seems like your angry all the time. Stay calm and carry on.
DeleteSome people have accessibility issues, so they type in all caps. I'm sure we can deal with it.
Delete@10:18 My MIL used to e-mail in all caps. She had macular degeneration and it helped her see what she was typing. Maybe Justine has something similar.
DeleteI CAP, BECAUSE I AM DYSLEXIC, AND I CAN SEE MY SPELLING BETTER!!!!! I AM SORRY, I ALSO HATE IT TOO!!!!!!!
DeleteSometimes Duggars wear leggings under their skirts. Therefore, they could ride a camel. I just got home from Israel and Jordan yesterday. I felt bad for the camels. So, I didn’t ride one.
DeleteI do remember the Duggar's world tour's to Europe and Asia. Glad they got to visit Israel for a second time and with their own money (as we all know TLC payed for their world tours to get views on their show 19 Kids and Counting back then). I remember when they visited Israel the first time Jim Bob baptized all the kids that were saved and Cousin Amy in the Jordan River and Josie when she was still so little had to receive medical care there because of one of her seizure episodes.
ReplyDeleteDid he re-baptize the kids? If so, I don't understand that purpose. First time is supposed to "stick." Also, Jim Bob is not a minister so there's that.
Delete8:44pm anyone who is baptized can baptize other people unless you are of the Catholic faith.
DeleteActually,he's ordained to preach (or was) because they used to hold church in their home so they worshipped together as the IBLP taught family worship together and not have separate things for the kids and teens. At least that's what used to bee shown
DeleteAnon 8:44 I think being baptized in the Jordan River is some sort of status thing. Some churches let people get baptized over and over for some reason that isn't clear to me.
DeleteYou don't have to be a pastor to baptize someone.
DeleteI live in Israel. People want to be baptized in the Jordan because Jesus was. It’s special. Nothing wrong with this. They aren’t trying to lift a status. Thousands of people every year do this same thing.
DeleteAnon 3:36. If you get baptized in the Jordan river "because Jesus was baptized there" then it's a status thing.
DeleteI don't agree with how men (but certainly not women) in the Duggars' faith can call themselves ministers, claim they're ordained, whatever. They obviously go through little or no formal training before they claim that.
Delete3:36am and water is taken from the river of Jordan for Christenings as well. My grandma was christened with in England.
Delete8:55pm - The person has to be baptized themselves. I think a lot of people get that mixed up. I do believe in certain beliefs however like priests and bishops has to do it.
DeleteSo it's kind of like renewing your wedding vows? You're already baptized but you do it again to make yourself feel better? @8:32- Catholics allow lay people to do baptisms in an emergency, when a priest cannot be summoned in time.
DeleteLet's not judge them if they are ordained. If they having a calling to do so that's them. I don't think they are since there has not been no official announcement. You don't have to be a minister to baptize people. You have to be baptized however depending on your religion which is nice for us introvert Christians. I come from a Pentecostal and Baptist background. The churches I went to and currently now believe this. I was baptized by my mom :)
DeleteI was baptized after being saved when I was 12. I decided to get re-baptized in the Jordan River when I was just there to feel a connection wi th Jesus. I wanted that connection and to grow in my relationship by doing something Jesus did. I went back and forth many times on whether I was going to get re-baptized or not there. I am very glad I did. It is not a “status” thing for me.
DeleteBaptism does not save; it's simply a public testimony of your faith in Jesus Christ. As such, you can do it twice or thrice or whatever. Ephesians 2:8-9 Many people get baptized again in the Jordan River because it's meaningful as the place Jesus was baptized.
DeleteGlad they had such an exciting time. Hope to see some of them back on Cable TV in a spinoff. Natasha b
ReplyDeleteThey were already in a spinoff. They were also on the news, a lot.
DeleteDuggar"s won't be back on TV
DeleteThat's nice
ReplyDeleteDo you know what your they used in Israel? I would love to go with my family.
ReplyDeleteWe went through womita. We got back yesterday. They put on a wonderful tour by contracting it through educational opportunities. It was more affordable than most tour groups.
DeleteOh I would love to go to The Holy Land.
ReplyDeleteWhere can I watch the Duggars first trip to Israel from several years back?
ReplyDeleteLooks like they are having fun. But wow how times have changed. I am glad my parents taught their children not to pick up rocks from anywhere even if it's in the backyard or a park. Its so unbecoming.
ReplyDeleteWe were taught not to take anything that didn't belong to us or that we didn't have permission to take. The good old 8th Commandment. Seems the Duggars should be familiar with that, wouldn't you think?
DeleteIt's unbecoming to pick up rocks and set them back down? Even in your own backyard?
DeleteI know that everyone raises their kids differently. But I would have to disagree with you. If kids want to go out in the yard or where ever to collect rocks. Let them. I don't care if they are teenagers. There are worse things they could get into these days.
DeleteDid you not play with claydough too? Just curious...
DeleteNo, I disagree with all the comments. He did what he did and in no way should be associated with the family. Believe me I had a family member who wronged me and now I don’t associate with them in anyway. Don’t have their pictures or anything.
DeleteIf your kids want to play with rocks, buy them a bag of rocks from a garden supply store. Don't let them go out in public picking up anything they see that they want. Bad habit to let your kids get into. It encourages a "me first, I'm more important than others, I take what I want with no consequences" attitude.
Delete11:06 you cannot be serious! Hahaha.
Delete11:06, my kids can play with rocks in the yard if they want. I grew up doing the same. Everyone survived.
DeletePlaying with rocks in your own yard is one thing. Taking them from wherever you see them in public and from other people's property is quite another. How hard is it to explain to your child that we don't take things we see, we leave them there.
DeleteI paid to have rocks delivered and installed in my front yard as part of the landscaping. I'd be really mad if everyone walking by decided they'd take one or two home as souvenirs. It's stealing. Thou shalt not.
DeleteLike to see more updates on the blog. Also like to see an updated header. I think it’s time Josh was no more.
ReplyDeleteTaking his picture away would change nothing. He still did what he did. I think it should be left there as a reminder. Maybe put him separately in orange stripes, or use his mugshot?
DeleteAn update would be nice, but taking Josh off the header isn't a solution. He's still part of the family and hiding him won't solve anything.
DeleteRemoving Josh from the header isn't going to change anything. He is what he is. He did what he did. It's better that he stays and we remember this family is far from perfect. Sometimes people forget that or want to gloss over it.
DeleteVery hard to update anything when most of the Duggars are mostly inactive on social media right now....lol
DeleteJosh should remain with the other Duggar pictures to remind of what the book of Matthew says: "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." That last sentence really resonates.
DeleteHello, he is a criminal. You have your own inquiries and I have mine, but let’s respect what each other has to say on the internet even if we don’t agree with it.
DeleteRe 4:23 That's a great verse. I like "Ye shall know them by their fruits" and "a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit." Everyone has heard "wolf in sheep's clothing" but how many know where that saying originated?
DeleteWell if people want to travel, they need to just move to these places. It doesn't make sense to me why people want to travel. If you are not happy with where you are at, move out of Arkansas.
ReplyDeleteLol seriously? People want to see new places but not uproot their entire lives to move there! It's called a vacation. I've seen tons of places around the country and out of it. Thank God I didn't think I had to just move to these places to enjoy them!
DeleteIf people want to travel they need to move to these places . . . I'm not sure I understand you.
DeleteHave you never travelled? I love to travel and have been very happy to see lots of the world with my husband, and then we are happy to return home.
Delete6:43, have you never taken a vacation? Gone to a wedding or family reunion out of state? Traveled out of state or country to visit a sick family member? How very sad! Traveling is a great way to learn about other cultures, to see that even though there might be differences, people can find common ground & unity.
DeleteI have been to 5 of the 7 continents and plan for Australia next year. I just got back from Israel and Jordan yesterday. I have been to 15 countries but do not plan to move to all of them someday.
DeleteI been viewing vloggers visiting Israel today. Where are those haters at commenting under their videos? They took rocks from the Holy land too. Why is it just here on the Duggars fan blog? It's interesting. Don't take rocks off US soil too because this is and always will be native land.
ReplyDelete9:42, who are the bloggers? I would love to check them out.
DeleteExactly!
DeleteWhat other bloggers? We're here to discuss the Duggars and what they do.
Delete4th gen Sioux right here and you are right!
DeleteI thought some land was actually sold to settlers?
DeleteHas Israel been to Israel?
