One of the Duggar couples received an extra special Christmas gift this year. Jeremiah Duggar and Hannah (Wissmann) Duggar, who wed on March 26th, 2022, welcomed their first child on Christmas Day. Brynley Noelle Duggar was born early and weighed 6 lbs 15 oz.

Very exciting to hear about the Duggar's having more babies!!! I haven't heard much news from the family for a long time. I LOVE the Duggar family SO much!!

ReplyDeleteNo ,they never mentioned when she was due,it was mentioned that they have been married since March,and as they announced late August people thought she was due in march as they usually announce at twelve weeks gestation but they probably were able to announce later as she started showing late, I started showing at five months also.

DeleteThat is their business but I can see that a lot of you don't know how genetics work. A premature baby can weight between 5-7 pounds if the parents was big babies themselves. Usually Duggar's have big babies.

ReplyDeleteI don't believe she was premature, she just came a little earlier than the due date. That's more common than babies being born exactly on the due date.

DeleteI have seen premature babies weigh 6 Ibs when the mama usually has big babies or she or the daddy weighed a lot when they was born.

DeleteOB nursing student here! Any infant born after 37 weeks of gestation is considered full term :) A birth is considered to be "premature" up to 36 weeks and 6 days gestation. In addition, a baby's weight doesn't always exactly coincide with gestational age. Babies born to smaller moms are often on the smaller side, as they have less room to grow. I've seen term babies born at 6 pounds, and I've seen term babies born at 10 pounds. As long as baby is eating, and they are an otherwise healthy term baby, we expect them to gain a good amount of weight in their first weeks of life. They actually lose some weight (water weight) in the hospital right after birth :)

ReplyDeleteMy great Aunt was born on Christmas. However I’m not sure I’d want my birthday to be on Christmas or anytime in December. I’d much rather have my birthday fall on any other time of the year, that way I have something else to look forward to during the year.

DeleteSaying early doesn't always mean months early, it could just be days or a couple weeks. I say that my oldest came early. He was 5 days early according to my edd with him.
