Hard to believe it has been almost three years since Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo made their big cross-country move from Laredo, Texas, to Los Angeles, California. Big news has just been announced by the Vuolo: Jeremy has completed the Master of Divinity program at The Master’s Seminary. He will be continuing his education in the Doctor of Ministry program. The seminary’s commencement service will be streamed live on the
Grace Church website, Sunday, May 8th, at 6pm PT.
Congrats to him. I wonder what he wants to do after his doctorate??

DeleteCongratulations to Jeremy. Glad he has completed his Master's to be a pastor and will continue to move on to get his Doctrine. In another few years,he will be known as Dr. Jeremy Vuolo,Dr. of Divinity. While I never have really cared for him going to some fancy Christian seminary in LA when he could of gotten his Master's and then Doctorate from a simple Christian university like Liberty University in Virginia (know a friend who attended there to get his Master's and has been working on and off along with his duties as a pastor of a church to get his Doctrine degree) and taking his wife far away from her family,I have loved some parts of his and Jinger's adventure in LA and Jinger finding her independence in her fashion and life choices opposite the way she grew up in a strict Conservative Christian family. But on the negative side,I don't like how far away she's gotten from her Baptist roots and instead trading it to become a worldly non-denominational Christian. But oh well,at least her parents haven't cut ties with her like they did her sister Jill just because she chose a lifestyle opposite the way she was raised.
ReplyDeleteWell, they are going their own paths which means they are not doing what YOU or her parents probably wants her to do. There is a lot I can say about baptist people such as some of them believe once saved, always saved. And not all non-denominational Christians are "worldly".

The D.Min. focuses not on current trends in biblical scholarship or the preaching of a fourth century church father (for example), but your preaching. You will still need to research, but it will be research that is aimed to make you a better preacher for your local church. Every assignment will be directed at your personal homiletics in the context of your local church.
Most people like Jeremy are in the ministry. You go where ever you feel that God is leading you.

Delete@2:48 How can you know what you want when all your life you've been told you serve one purpose in the future because you're female in a Duggar family? Look how fast Jill gave up being a (semi-) midwife and Abbie gave up being a (some level) nurse. It's a shame that these girls might "have" an opportunity (in theory) but they don't take it because of expectations put on them by parents and husbands. And then you have situations like Anna got herself into. She can't support herself and her kids. Is that the kind of situation the Duggars want for all their daughters and daughters-in-law? No way to support themselves? That hardly fits their "hard-working" narrative.
DeleteBoth Jana and Jinger said they would go to college if they feel that they need it. College is something that cannot be forced like some parents do. Sometimes it takes you being 30 years old before you decide the right career path. Everyone is different. Please re-watch the Duggar show.

DeleteJill had to give up being a CPM because a magazine abused the Freedom of Information Act. It's not coincidental she quit after her privacy was violated. As for Abbie, it's a shame that some women are so indoctrinated into believing women only have value if they earn money, instead of glorifying Abbie for being a wife and mother.
DeleteMay all the Duggar women have great opportunities and wonderful support to learn and do whatever their hearts desire… And may they each enjoy a peace and freedom that they may not have experienced in their own independent lives, thus far. Life is short and there are so many possibilities… May they choose wisely what is the best fit for each of them, individually, that their fulfillment and joy will match their interests, gifts, abilities, and desires. I will cheer them on as they experience all the best that life has for them!
