ReplyDeleteTyler is a great kid, so sweet. He also made it possible for the Duggars to have 20 children, which is wonderful! I think they'd always hoped for 20.
ReplyDeleteI agree. But I think they still refer themselves as having 19 kids which makes me feel a little sad for Tyler. I'm sure he would like to get recognized as their 20th child.

DeleteTyler is Michelle's sister's grandson. He was living with his grandma a few years ago when she became ill. He has been living with great-aunt Michelle and great-uncle JimBob since then. They are his legal guardians. Age-wise, he is between Jennifer and Jordyn. He, his mother, and his grandmother have been at the Duggars at various times throughout his life, so they were not strangers when he started living with them.
DeleteTyler is Michelle's great-nephew. For reasons we don't know and don't need to know, his mom was unable to care for him so he has lived with the Duggars for a number of years now and is just like one of their own.

DeleteTyler, is Michelle's Sister's Grandson, (Michelle's Great Nephew,) who Michelle & Jim Bob, have custody of.

ReplyDeleteTyler is old enough to decide whether he wants a J-nickname or not. Some of the J-kids have nicknames that don't start with J (Siah and Hannie) and Tyler fits in just fine as he is.

DeleteWhen you are finishing off the last little bit - sure. Saves dirtying a glass, and it's fun!
DeleteMy kids drink it that way only if it's enough for one person. They rinse it and put the jug in recycle bin.

DeleteIf it's the last of the milk in the jug and he's drinking it all, I'd give him a pass this time. But it's certainly not a photo-worthy moment in anyone's household, or a good habit to get into. I hope nobody did the same thing before him with that same jug.

I'm glad that Tyler has had such a welcoming family to fit in with. For all that the Duggars aren't perfect, I think growing up in a large, functional family sounds like a dream for many people, especially in their current phase with fewer at home. I'm glad he seems to be treated similarly to his siblings.
