All in the family! When Grandma Mary Duggar passed away last year, she left behind a wonderful legacy, which included a career in real estate. Jim Bob and Michelle are also licensed agents, and in January 2016, we shared that Joseph was pursuing his license, which he successfully obtained.
Well, the list of Duggar real estate agents continues to grow, as Jeremiah Duggar just passed his exam on Friday and has joined the group. Congratulations, Jer!

Like the rest of his siblings and dad, I’m sure he plans to do a lot of full-time, income-generating work with that license. /s
ReplyDeleteIt does seem that way! Jill as some type of mid-wife/not working, Jana a doula/ not working and now Joseph and Jeremiah. Just don’t see them as being active realtors!
DeleteSnatching up abandoned properties and quickly flipping them is more like it. I would never buy a property from someone who fixed it without proper training and licensing. Just because you worked for your dad or with your brothers for awhile doesn't prove you can do anything right. Completing an accredited training program then getting a state license is the way to start. Apprenticeship is good too. I don't know what these Duggar boys have against getting properly trained.
DeleteI thought he owned a used car lot. Maybe I was wrong.
DeleteCongratulations Jeremiah!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Jeremiah!
ReplyDeleteWell congratulations Jeremiah! Well done☺

ReplyDeleteCongrats Jeremiah nobody's ever to
Old or young to follow their dreams.
My dream is to be a actress 32
Disabled hope my dreams come true.
I hope you are working toward your dreams, Neddy. You can probably be an actress in local community shows. I think that would be fun and fulfilling. And as your acting skills grow, you can try out for bigger roles. I hope your dreams come true.
DeleteNeddy. I truly hope your dream does come true for you & 32 is still very young. We have some good actors & actresses both on tv & in the theatre here in the uk with varying degrees of special needs, like cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, limb prosthetics, & some that are wheelchair bound. Keep focussing on your dream, anything is possible with determination & focus. Good luck, you go girl.
DeleteYou are right, Neddy! There's always hope in making our dreams come true. Bless you!
DeleteI hope you can live your dream Neddy!
DeleteWell said Neddy, and if one dream can't come true find another passion and sooner or later one of those dreams will come true!
DeleteSadly, you can be too young or too old to follow your dreams, but rather than live with regrets, make the most of what you can do and be thankful!

Good for you Neddy!
DeleteCongrats Jeremiah!
ReplyDeleteIt is great that Jer got his real estate license. That takes a lot of studying. I don’t give a shred of quonce though as what I really want to know is when is Jer and his twin brother getting married? I mean not to each other, but to some nice Christian or Catholic girls?-Love from Queenie Lovehart.
ReplyDeleteThe quonce shredding is back!
DeleteOh Queenie, you’re a hoot! Love your sense of humor!
DeleteBe careful, 1:58, or Queenie will give you her thumbs down!
DeleteOnly time will tell, when it will be Jeremiah's turn to get married, and when it will be Jedidiah's turn to get married.
DeleteI thought Jer owned the used car lot and that Joe worked there. Guess he can do both but if they're ALL real estate agents they'll be competing against each other for clients.
ReplyDeleteHow much real estate business is in NW Arkansas and why would you need so many agents in one family?
ReplyDeleteWhy did it take so long to get the license if he started in January of 2016?
ReplyDeleteIt was Joseph, not Jeremiah, who started pursuing his real estate license, in 2016.
DeleteCongratulations, Jeremiah!! I hope that your real estate career, is a successful one.
ReplyDeleteYoung man go branch out on your own . Don't have to work for the family. Be yourself. Rosealeigh
ReplyDeleteGood job, Jeremiah!
ReplyDeleteI’d be interested to know how many properties Michelle has sold over the lifetime of her real estate license???
ReplyDeleteSo the Duggar kids can either work in real estate/house-flipping, or used cars shops... I am really looking forward to one who will choose a different path and study something. The Bates kids seem to be much more free, in that regard ! Girls included !
ReplyDeleteYes, it's odd that in that whole family, they haven't branched out that much. No one wants to be an accountant? An electrician (a real one!)? It's odd to me, having grown up with my mom being from 9 siblings. While my grandparents worked in insurance, only three of their kids (their daughters!) ever worked in inusrance. The rest have done all sorts of different things, from military to art to medicine to procurement. It's just weird that the Duggar kids haven't branched out.
DeleteWow. Michelle is ALLOWED to have a real estate license???
ReplyDeleteI think she has barely used it.
DeleteShe got it years ago.
DeleteMichelle's real estate license has expired some years ago.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of jobs, I guess Jed will be back home and back to the car lot tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSeems very likely.
DeleteWonder how his brother feels to have lost to a woman yesterday.
ReplyDeleteAre you implying that a woman is somehow "less than" or are you being sarcastic? Either way, I think you can do better.
DeleteI'm sure he was gracious about it. He seems very much a gentleman.
DeleteThat's great news for him. Congratulations Jer. It's nice to hear that Joseph has a license as well. Way to go Joe.

DeleteIs working for Jim Bob, selling cars, or real estate the only acceptable jobs for the Duggars?
ReplyDeleteYep.
DeleteCould you do a post on John David's job? What does he do to earn a living?
ReplyDeleteOnce or twice I've heard them say he's a pilot.
DeleteIf the real estate and car business careers were not going well enough for them to be successful and support their family's then they wouldn't do it. They are adults and making their own choices. When the parents have a successful business the children would naturally learn they business and often want to be a part of it. Either directly in the business of their parents or in their own business that is similar to what they have learned from their parents. In addition, the kids have learned how to do a lot of construction work when they were young so it just makes sense that they would be drawn to that when they grew up. This is especially true when you see your older brothers and brothers in-law being successful at it. Common sense would say that if the older brothers were having trouble succeeding and making enough money the younger ones wouldn't want to do it. Success tends to cause those younger than you to follow in your footsteps so the fact that so many are choosing similar careers just shows that the older ones are succeeding.
ReplyDeleteReal estate and cars never cut it before for them. They needed more, a TV show, to get them out of how they were living.
DeleteGood on him! That's a lot of studying and not easy to obtain! I hope is is a lucrative career for him and possibly a future wife and family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to him! That test is hard! I wish him the best of luck and success in his new career!
ReplyDeleteThat is great for him - he will be quite the catch for some young lady!!!!!!!!!!!!
