ReplyDeleteIt seems like the Duggars are having kids younger and younger these days. Jill and Jessa both had their first’s at 23, but joy-Anna already has two at the same age. Kendra and Lauren had their first’s at 19 and 20 respectively.

DeleteWhy does it bother you their choices? Are you the one who is raising their children? Don't forget that Jill and Jessa were older than Joy when they got married and so they started having children than.
DeleteI had my first 1t 17 and 2nd at 19. I have no regrets!!!! My kids are happy, healthy and thriving. I am now in my late 50's and still no regrets...
DeleteAs far as having babies when you are younger like 19 or 20, is really much more ideal, as when you’re older, if it’s your first especially you can easily have more complications as well as my issue, which is feeling much too old for the young energy of little kids! It wasn’t at all by choice that we had our kids during the years that I was 30-38, but like I said, there’s many a day I feel much too old for their energy. Much better energy levels at age 20
DeleteIt rally depends on the people, 12:24! I adopted my 4 children when I was 38, 39, 43, and 45 ( the two youngest were toddlers). It was the perfect time for me - I had my master’s degree and an established career, good friends, had traveled and experienced a lot. Now i’m 59, and my kids are 22, 20, 19, and 18. They keep me young and I have no regrets!
DeleteAge is nothing but a number, everyone. To each, their own. There is no age too old to love and be loved.
Delete12:24 I became a mother at the age of 42 through adoption. Our two children were both infants when they can home to us, 18 months apart. I can assure you, I was not lacking in energy any more than I would have at 20. What I know I did have more of as an older mom was financial security, patience and wisdom. We are empty nesters now. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing.
DeleteYes and when you start having your kids at 19 or 20, you can still be having kids when your first kids are having your grandchildren. Sounds about right.

To 5:12 PM -- Our family has experienced a miscarriage. We are also pro-life. We are aware that we have three children, but but we tell people we have two children. Why? It's easier for us than having to explain to people and relive the sadness. I hope people can understand that. Sometimes it takes a little effort to be empathetic.

ReplyDeleteShe was such a outdoorsy type and had a lot of fun with her brothers. Now she is a lot inside and only with women. I hope he let her wear pants. It is more practical with two kids and a ranch.

DeleteAustin's parents, own a family camp, which is set up as a ranch, and Joy & Austin, spend a lot of time there.
