Busy Week for the Forsyths

It has been a busy time for Joy and Austin Forsyth. Austin drove out to Colorado with a few guys, including Jason Duggar. They went backpacking and elk hunting but were unsuccessful at harvesting an animal. Meanwhile, Joy had a visit from her best friend, Carlin (Bates) Stewart, and Carlin's daughter Layla. 

When Austin returned home, he surprised his wife with a birthday getaway, which included Hallmark moves at the Keeter Center, a beautiful hotel located near Branson, Missouri.

Duggar #9 Turns 23

Wishing a very happy 23rd birthday to Joy-Anna (Duggar) Forsyth! She is the 9th oldest in the Duggar sibling lineup, and she and Austin have two beautiful children of their own.

Jill Dillard on Distancing from the Duggars

PEOPLE Magazine just released a story based on a recent interview they did with Jill Dillard. She discusses the conflict that she and Derick have had with the Duggars since making the decision to leave the show. You can read the story on the PEOPLE website. Jill will also be featured in this week's edition of the magazine, one newsstands Friday. The article states that both the Duggars and Dillards desire to restore their relationship, and we encourage you to pray for healing for both parties.

Prayer Event Response

Hello to our loyal blog readers. It's Lily and Ellie, the blog authors. Three days ago, we posted about an upcoming online event: a night of worship and prayer for the United States and the upcoming election. The event will feature Jeremy Vuolo, a member of the Duggar clan, and is thus an appropriate subject for a blog about the Duggar family. 

We are approaching the 11-year anniversary of our blog. When the Duggars used to book frequent public speaking engagements, we posted about all kinds of events on a regular basis, and no one seemed to mind. For some reason, the post we released three days ago generated a political debate. 

We want to reassure you that this is not a political event. We received confirmation from the event organizers that there will be no endorsements made for political candidates. It is simply a time for Americans to worship and pray for God's guidance for our country. We are very much looking forward to this event, and many of you have shared that you will be tuning in, as well.

Pre-Election Encouragement

We have the inside scoop on an upcoming online event that you won't want to miss. Are you seeking encouragement in the midst of the tumultuous election season that our country is experiencing? Tune in on Monday, November 2nd, at 7pm CT for a night of prayer and worship. No endorsements will be made for political candidates. This is simply a time to pray for God's guidance.

Jeremy Vuolo will give a short message and lead viewers in prayer. Worship music will be provided by Ricky Skaggs, Andy Leftwich, and the Foto Sisters. The event will stream live online.

Kendra's 8th Sibling

When Joseph Duggar married Kendra Caldwell in September 2017, Kendra was the oldest of seven children. About five months after Joe and Kendra welcomed their son Garrett Duggar, Kendra's parents, Paul and Christina Caldwell, delivered their eighth child. 

As we posted in August, Kendra is expecting Baby #3 in February 2021. Her mom just announced that she is pregnant, as well. Baby #9 is due in May 2021. Congratulations to the Caldwells! Paul and Christina currently have five boys and three girls. 

And to add to the excitement, Lauren Caldwell (the second eldest) was just engaged to a guy named Titus. Congrats to the couple!

Over the past couple years, Jessa Seewald has embraced the minimalist lifestyle. She has worked to de-clutter her home and simplify her storage and organization systems. With a family of five, including three active children under the age of five, living in a two-bedroom house, efficient use of space is key. 

All that to say, you'll notice in this photo that the Seewalds' living room doubles as their toy and book room. A while ago, Jessa moved the coffee table out to provide a bigger space to play.

Austin Goes Skydiving

This week, Austin flew his family of four to Alabama to visit relatives. While there, Austin got together with Trace Bates and Lawson Bates and went skydiving. Do you remember watching 19 Kids and Counting "Duggars Shoot for the Sky" back in January 2011? In celebration of her 18th birthday, Jessa Duggar went skydiving with her mama, Michelle Duggar.

16 Years of Duggars

Has it really been 16 years? We say this every fall, but time sure does fly. 2020 marks the 16th anniversary of the Duggars' first television special. "14 Children and Pregnant Again" premiered on September 6th, 2004. 

Since that day, more than 300 specials and episodes of 17 Kids and Counting, 18 Kids and Counting, 19 Kids and Counting, and Counting On have been shown to the public. It's no doubt that the Duggars will go down in reality TV history.
