Thirty-six years of marriage! Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are celebrating their anniversary this month. When we started our blog in December 2009, the Duggars had only been married 25 years.

Michelle was still just 17 when they got married July 21, 1984, for two months. She then turned 18 in September. Jim Bob had just turned 19 only three days before their wedding. Young!!! But they made it work, and grew up together over the 36 years. Happy Anniversary.
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm glad for them that they made their marriage work, I sure wouldn't recommend that anyone get married that young! I think women need to have an education and means to support themselves. They should not assume a man will do that for them indefinitley.

For the last time, this family did NOT ADOPT anyone. They have guardianship of that boy. Not the same as adoption.

They really look nice but please tell me why they are on the show so much! I wish the adult kiddos would have more air time. I love Kendra and Joe show more of them and the little Duggars.
