Abbie's such a sweet addition to the Duggar family and seems like just the perfect match for John David. I love seeing how happy those two are together and seeing their big smiles always makes me smile! Both very blessed to have found each other.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! I am sooo happy U make John happy, and I am glad he is making U happy too!!!!! Well I hope U will have the best year ever!!!!! I love U 3!!!!!
Abbie looks so good. However, if that's all he can produce in the way of facial hair I think John should give up on the beard. His beard growing ability is non-existent, lol
That's probably the best birthday Abbie had so far! She was saying that she was pretty much gave up on getting married and then suddenly met Johh. And this year they are celebrating her birthday with their first child!!
I'm curious if John and Abbie will be trying for the next baby soon, Abbie is already 28, if they want to have many kids they should do it sooner. On the other hand, Abbie had bad morning sickness, so she might not want to experience it soon again.
@3:08 I recall being asked this very same question when I got married in my middle 30's- when are you going to have kids? Is it really important to know the family planning details of other people? I find it incredibly rude and patronizing. No one should have to explain their intentions in this department to anyone or be on the receiving end of their advice about doing it "sooner, rather than later." I'm sure this couple has the brains to figure this out.
I don't think asking when a couple is going to have children is rude. People need to stop being offended by everything. We have more important things to worry about.
Abbie may be an older first-time mom compared to the other Duggar women, but 28 is certainly not old! In my part of the country (Northern NJ), it would actually be on the younger side. Most of the women that I know did not have kids until they were in their mid 30s-early 40s, because they wanted to focus on their careers. Many of them continued to work after having their kids as well, so they only usually have 1-2 kids. Additionally, NJ is extremely expensive, so that often delays marriage and children, because many people live at home to save money well into their late 20s-early 30s. My friends and I are in our late 20s and early 30s and none of us have had kids yet, because our careers are really important to us. The NYC suburbs are a whole different ball game than rural Arkansas. It is not family-oriented, but rather an extremely competitive, academic and work-oriented environment.
8:29, asking people when they are going to have children IS rude. For people struggling with infertility or with miscarried babies, it's another twist of the knife. It also is illogical. No one knows when they are going to get pregnant. Beyond those reasons, it is a personal question. Some people may not mind if you ask, but some will. It's just nosy.
Happy birthday to Abbie I hope you have a wonderful birthday and a wonderful year you and John look very happy together I hope you and your family have a wonderful rest of the year God bless you guys
They are so cute. Happy birthday Abbie! I’m only 13 years older than Abbie and have 3 kids and 3 grandbabies, so life goes by fast, enjoy the little ones while you can!
I hope not too! I went to high school with a girl who got pregnant senior year. Then her daughter got pregnant in high school too. History repeated itself and there was one very young grandmother.
@ 8:26, because if you had payed attention to the comments you would know I was responding to an earlier comment about a woman is only 13 year older than Abbie and is a grandmother. plus, in 13 years grace will only be 13 so I certainly hope Abbie is not a grand mother.

ReplyDeleteA non-existing beard-growing ability wouldn't produce beard hair, right? 😄
DeleteAbbie is just glowing! Married life and motherhood has agreed so well with her. Keep living your best life Abbie! <3

DeleteOnly time will tell what the answer, to this question, is.
Delete3:08, you act like 28 is old.
DeleteI think it is very rude to tell someone when and why they should have children.

Delete8:29, I beg to differ. It is extremely rude & no one’s business. That would be like asking someone when they’re going to lose weight. Nunya.
DeleteLet's not go there with the weight analogy -- totally doesn't fit.
DeleteHappy birthday to Abbie I hope you have a wonderful birthday and a wonderful year you and John look very happy together I hope you and your family have a wonderful rest of the year God bless you guys
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Abbie! I would love to know where she got her dress! That is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute. Happy birthday Abbie! I’m only 13 years older than Abbie and have 3 kids and 3 grandbabies, so life goes by fast, enjoy the little ones while you can!
ReplyDeleteSo your a 40 year grandmother?
DeleteHow and why did you encourage your kids to go right from puberty to parenthood? (I'm hoping your math is off or there's a typo with that age.)
DeleteYikes! Were you a teen mom? Were these pregnancies planned?
DeleteI m sure you enjoy being a grandmum. I wish i was a grandmother. I dont like the other judgemental comments on you! Just ignore.... 😉
DeleteI hope Abbie is not a grandmother in 13 years.
ReplyDeleteI hope not too! I went to high school with a girl who got pregnant senior year. Then her daughter got pregnant in high school too. History repeated itself and there was one very young grandmother.
DeleteWhy would you even say such a thing?
DeleteI think Anna will become a grandmother in 10 years

DeleteI hope Abbie isn’t a grandmother in 13 years also. That would be a bit scandalous even in this family.
