Jinger Vuolo and Felicity are in Northwest Arkansas this weekend for a last minute visit with the Duggars. Michelle and her daughters and daughters-in-law (minus Johannah and Kendra. who were unable to attend) enjoyed a meal and a shopping outing together.

ReplyDeleteI wonder why Jinger came just by herself and just for a weekend. If she came to announce she is pregnant, Jeremy would be with her. I suspect maybe one of the other sisters is pregnant? Or some of the brothers announce courtship? Or maybe Jinger is just fed up with LA and being homesick.

It's been 8 months since Joy suffered her miscarriage, it could be time for her to be pregnant! Unless it is Jessa who is pregnant, but Ivy is only 9 months old, it could be too early for Jessa.

It has a larger fatality rate than "the flu" (previous strains) and 20% of the victims are having serious symptoms. Fatality rates go up in those over 60. Those are the preliminary statistics, which could change as there's more data. Nobody has immunity to this "new" virus, making it extremely easy to spread. It certainly is a "big big deal." It's going to be in the news for a long time.

Although it is true that many have only a mild case, there are some who progress to a more serious case, even though they are healthy. They still do not know why. However, we have been advised, by our government health officials, to cancel all trips to hard-hit areas like Japan, Korea, Italy, China and Iran for the next few months. And, if we travel elsewhere, be prepared for the possibility of having to be quarantined for two weeks either during your trip or when you arrive back home. The disease is spreading fast.

I'd like to know how they'd explain to the loved ones of the people who died so far that it was only a bad cold. The administration also thinks that we have things under control and we're dealing with this well. Except we don't have a good screening protocol or isolation protocol, enough test kits, enough hospital beds, enough supplies.....

I love Michelle Duggar and the beautiful daughters she has raised and the beautiful daughter-in-law‘s that she has. It is the only show on TV, besides the Bates ,the only Reality series where they have no fighting and yelling or theatrics on the show. Where everybody is loving and kind to each other. ReplyDeleteI don't see how speaking out against others unlike you (religion, lifestyle, etc.) is "a wonderful testimony to the Lord." He would have befriended others, not criticized them. He would have helped those who needed it, not put up barriers. While the Duggars may treat each other in a Christian manner, I haven't seen it extending past their own house. Are you (OP) fully aware of things that they've said publicly?

DeleteI can understand what you are trying to say. In reality, the Bible is the hated book. It is God’s judgment on what is right and wrong in this world. What God has labeled as sin and righteousness. We have all sinned and fallen short of God‘s glory. There is no one that is perfect in this whole world, only God. I think the Duggers are just trying to uphold God‘s moral law. They do not hate homosexuals or transgender, they don’t hate liars Or children that disobey their parents. They are just standing for righteousness. You can love the homosexual but say that it is not right to be a homosexual. It’s not right to lie, it’s not right to steal, it’s not right to murder, it’s not right to hate... But we all have done these things and therefore we are condemned before God. But God sent his Son to take our punishment on the cross. If we repent, if we turn from our sins and embrace Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we will be assured of Heaven. It is not by doing good things ,it is by faith in Jesus Christ alone. He paid the price. So the Duggers are a kind and sweet and Godly family. Let’s not judge them because they want to live a God-fearing lifestyle.

He caused his son to suffer unspeakable torture and die just so we mortals don't have to be condemened for our "horrible" sins? There is no logic or reason in this story, which runs contrary to the idea that God is love. Why Jinger flew to Arkansas right now? I suspect someone will be announcing that they are pregnant (Joy or Jessa) or courting (Jason?) or some other announcement. Otherwise "last minute" flight across the country is not really explained.

ReplyDeleteIn every photo of Jenni since October, she has been wearing the same dress. I've seen it 5 times. Why doesn't her mother provide something else for her to wear?? Plus it's a summer dress!
ReplyDeleteJenni seems to have strong personality; I'm sure she wears what she wants to wear. She always wears dresses! Johannah wears a lot of skirts and t-shirts, leggings, but Jenni always wears dresses. This one is ok actually, but sometimes she wears some long pink one, not very modern.

Delete9:27- Just a guess here, but it's not unusual for kids to have a preference for one item of clothing and wear it more than anything else in their closet. It may not be due to lack of clothing choices- they're just more comfortable in one certain outfit. Young teens are oftentimes unsure of their body image as things are changing so much. They wear what makes them feel more comfortable. My daughter went through a phase like that. I got very tired of seeing her in the same thing, but as long as it was clean and presentable, I didn't make an issue out of it and it passed. She grew up to be a sweet and productive adult. As a parent, you have to pick your battles. Come to think of it, my husband has a fondness for one particular shirt that he's had longer than I care to admit! We human beings are a complicated bunch, aren't we?
