Josie Loses a Tooth

Jim Bob Duggar and Josie Duggar
Jim Bob Duggar and Josie Duggar

"So after we offered Josie a dollar to help her get her tooth out, then Jenni came up and said, 'Hey I just lost a tooth yesterday.' So then I gave her a dollar. And then it looked like Jordyn was over there working on a few of her teeth trying to wiggle them out. I'm not even sure it they're supposed to be coming out."
-Jim Bob Duggar

Josie Duggar is approaching her 10th birthday, which means that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar will soon have no children left with ages in the single digits. In honor of her upcoming birthday, we thought we would share this new video featuring the youngest Duggar child. With help from her parents and moral support from her siblings, Josie is determined to pull one of her baby teeth out.

  1. Josie is such a cute kid. It still amazes me that she lived, considering how tiny she was at birth. I wish we could see more of her on the show.

  2. Typical dad, wanting to dare their kids to do something...

  3. It’s sad the other kids wanted to start pulling teeth to get attention

    1. Oh come on now....typical kid behavior. They did it not for attention, but for $1.00.

    2. Haha...not get “attention “; but get a “dollar”!!!

    3. 12:22AM: It's not "sad"! It's pretty normal.

    4. Seriously? Or to get money.

    5. Any kid in any family would do this 🙄

    6. I don’t think it was to get attention. It’s just the way kids are sometimes, and the money is an incentive.

  4. Haha everyone wants a dollar

    1. yeah. That was weird. And JB doesn't know which are baby teeth and which are permanent teeth.

    2. Seriously? Do you count your kids teeth everyday? Unless it Is a front tooth or the child says something, you don’t know they lost a tooth

    3. Anon 4:32 We don't have to count our kids teeth everyday because if one of their teeth is so much as loose we would know about it because the child would tell us because we are close to our children. We surely would know if they lost one. I think Jim Bob and Michelle are just way to busy with other things to have that close relationship with the younger kids.

    4. 11:53AM Jenni probably told someone.Jim-Bob said they don't give a dollar for every tooth their children lose and I'm sure it wasn't her first tooth. Good Jenni for speaking up and getting that dollar, a smart girl. Lol

    5. Surely it wasn't Josie's first tooth to lose either though.

  9. But what about Jenni? Poor baby, she always seems lost in the shuffle. Her and Jordan seem to always be in the “miracle child’s” shadow

  12. Losing a tooth is a big deal. At least it is to all the kids I know. It’s a rite of passage. I can’t believe Jenni had to tell JimBob about it a day later.

  13. Th other girls weren't pulling their teeth for attention; they were wiggling them out for a dollar. Some of y'all are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.

  14. It caught me by surprise to see a paper dollar because where I live we use coins for $1. & $2. - our famous loonies and toonies. Little kids seem to love coins over paper. I miss our pennies too.

  15. I lost a tooth recently, too. But I didn't get a dollar, I got a root canal and a crown, and I had to pay a bunch of dollars.

  16. This was just a cute innocent video and how anyone can possibly find something negative about it is beyond me.Must be some pretty miserable people out there...just be happy and enjoy the post for what it is...goodness gracious...Have a blessed day y'all 😉✌

    1. Yes, thank you for saying that! When people speak negatively and criticize others, it really shows alot about who they are. The moment your little fingers want to write something nasty, stop yourself and think of something positive to say instead. It'll do wonders for your well-being if you make it a habit!

    2. I agree just a funny family moment. ðŸĪŠ

    3. I think you hit the nail on the head -- lots of miserable people out there. Josie is adorable, isn't she? Praise God!

    4. agree! Everyone claims they just want to see typical activities like in the early years- they get it and then complain. Haters will be haters.

  17. After 19 kids you'd think one of them losing a baby tooth wouldn't be such a big deal. But everything seems to be a big deal with the Duggars.

    2. I know! Isn't it great that even though they have so many kids, they enjoy and celebrate the little things?

    3. So you think that the younger kids shouldn't have anything made a big deal of by their family because the parents have been through it many times?

  18. Dear Jim Bob, Michelle and Josie, I remember pulling my tooth at recess. I tried for 2 days and finally it came out. Pulling teeth is no fun. I can't believe Josie is going to be 10. Natasha B.

  19. Amazes me how the Duggars can’t do anything without being judged.

    1. @8:56 It's sad that as human beings, we can't just love and accept people without the self-imposed rules and conditions we map out for ourselves, as well as everyone else. I hope the Duggars understand this, too. If people are kind, respectful, considerate and treat others as they wish to be treated, that's all that matters, IMO.

    2. I don't think the Duggars would get on blogs about us and nitpick, judge, and make up nasty rumors.
