The first week of November is a busy time for the Duggars, with two birthdays and three anniversaries. Jessa and Ben Seewald celebrated their five-year anniversary on November 1st, John-David and Abbie Duggar were married exactly one year yesterday (November 3rd), and Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo look forward to their three-year anniversary tomorrow (November 5th).

ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary to all couples...As a Christian grandmother of a 26 year old college graduate grandson, my prayers are that he finds a Christian young lady that exudes the love that Jinger and Jeremy shared in their courtship. Jessa comes across very harsh and she rules the house... she comes across not very soft and loving... on several shows I have seen her shoot Ben down when he has an opinion....John and Abbie seem genuine .... so happy for them they are in love!

ReplyDeleteTo me, it seems that all of the couples have had a rough time their first year of marriage, some worse than others. Maybe that is normal since marriage is a big adjustment. With the exception of Josiah and Lauren, all appear to have settled into their relationships and are doing well now. And Josiah and Lauren will get there too-- Lauren is quite immature, and in my opinion got married too young, but time and life experience will take care of that eventually.
ReplyDeleteWow, do you know them? You are making quite a huge assumption. There is nothing that would indicate a "rough first year" of marriage. They sometimes speak honestly about challenges but would you prefer they pretend they never have challenges? All marriages have some disagreements or adjustments.

DeleteMy cousins are getting a divorce after only 2 years of marriage. They've dated longer than they've been married! Kudos if the young ones can work it out because I think my cousins married for the wrong reasons :(

ReplyDeleteInteresting, they have 3 weddings in November, 2 in September, but none in October. October itself should be great month to wed, not too cold like November, and a lot of pretty foliage compared to September. I wonder why they all chose November. With Jessa, I understand, they got engaged in August, and it was not much time to plan a wedding. Or maybe church was already booked.
