ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Michelle
ReplyDeleteCan there be a matriarch in a militantly patriarchal family?
ReplyDeleteMichelle is very much a leader in her own way. She follows her husband, but at the same time she's no wilting lily.
DeleteSure. "The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world."
DeleteIn name, maybe. In practice?
DeleteAbsolutely...the man may be the head of the house..but mom controls the neck ;)
DeleteYou're rude!
DeleteThey absolutely respect her as matriarch
DeleteHappy Birthday, Michelle! Hope you have a wonderful birthday and a blessed year! I know we see you some on "Counting On", but I wish we could hear from you more. I learned so much from you on your other show. Michelle and Jim-Bob need their own show!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Michelle! God bless you always.
ReplyDeleteIf Michelle is any indication, child-bearing keeps you young! Her countenance reflects Proverbs 31. Happy birthday & blessed wishes for many more! May our good Lord God continue to bless & prosper you! ❤
ReplyDelete1:11- I think it's plain old genetics. I've known women who've had large families and by the time they reach their 50's, they look years older. BTW, you have no idea what physical issues Michelle has from so many pregnancies. It can take a toll on the inards.
DeleteAnd the outards. Lolli is wearing support hose in the post above this one.
DeleteI think Michelle is a miracle, because she bore 19 healthy children, none of her kids have health issues except for Josie but Josie was really premature. Michelle had so many pregnancies, and she looks so amazing now! We haven't heard about any serious health issues for her, what we can see is she is always wearing black tights (maybe varicose veins?). If you look at Kelly Bates, she is at the same age, but she looks older than Michelle. How many women can't have more than 1-2 pregnancies! There can be some serious kidney, eyes, teeth, heart issues. And Michelle had 19 pregnancies! (19 born kids, 2 sets of twins, so 17 pregnancies resulted in a live child, and then 2 miscarriages). She is a miracle!
DeleteI think what ages people more than anything is sun exposure, smoking and drug/alcohol addiciton.
DeleteSmoking and previous drug use definitely ages someone. My MIL still smokes, and used to do drugs for decades. She's 59, but looks 75. She looks older than her oldest sister, whom is 10 years older than her. Michelle hasn't done any of that and looks younger than her age.
DeleteHappy Birthday to U Michelle, U are a great person, and I thank God for your family!!!!!!!!! I love U 21!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Michelle should write an honest tell-all book! She’s packed a lot in her 53 years!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! You should definitely write your own story... please, please, please?
DeleteHonest?
DeleteHappiest of birthdays to Michelle! She looks amazing. So healthy and bright.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you on your birthday. Have a blessed and happy year.

ReplyDeleteBefore I make a comment about Michelle I would like to say is this some people in this blog make rude comments to this family. This family got through some hard times. Please Try understanding if you post a blog about your family you would like to see mean comments please don't do the same with this family. Thank you
Well said
DeleteI think that many negative posts come from those who oppose this family's strong beliefs about the abortions and lgbt stuff. So they post their hateful comments.
DeleteHave notice, they have been less rude comments in the blog.

DeleteThank you for saying that .

ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Mrs D you look good for 53 years old.
When someone says to me “you look really good” and then adds on, “ for being 63” it sort of takes the wind out of my sails 🙁
DeleteOMG, 53 years old, and she looks so amazing!
ReplyDeleteAnd this is for a mother of 19 children, grandmother to 13 (and soon to be 17). And having your children growing into great adults. That latest Bahamas help, it must feel really great for a mother that her children are being so good citizens!
I think to say ANY rude comments reflects a state of being about the discord and unhappiness in ones life. If one is content with themselves and are at peace with their life and they feel no need to say rude or mean spirited negative things...Plain and simple.Think about it, if you are happy then you don't feel the need for all that pettiness, all you want is to spread love and be supportive and complementary right? ✝️🕊🙏🏼...✌🏻❤&happiness...Blessings is y'all 😉
ReplyDeleteSo true, 1:57!
DeleteIt depends on who is determining what constitutes rude. It is not rude to question inconsistencies between one's stated convictions and their actions/behaviors. When "convictions" change, people should question that because God doesn't change His mind. Practices change; convictions don't. When someone's lifelong practices change, it's natural to wonder and ask what brought about the changes. When your public platform is built on your family convictions and those convictions change-people are going to question your testimony and your integrity...especially when you choose to refuse to address the differences. You can't blame the public; there have been a lot of abuse perpetrated by some calling themselves Christians. The problem isn't the questions; it's the lack of answers.
Delete@7:20- Love your response, especially the last sentence- right on!
