5.5 weeks, almost 12 pounds
Ivy Seewald just turned five weeks old, and we think she is looking more and more like her older brothers with every photo.

Wow! Ivy is a big girl. My baby is 6 months and 15 pounds. Every baby is different. Healthy is good.
ReplyDeleteShe really does look like her brothers.☺
ReplyDeleteIvy looks like both of her brothers! I hope she gets Spurgeons Curley hair.
ReplyDeleteYou see my left fist ready to deck anyone who complains about my hair bow? You think my mama cares about what you think? I think not!
ReplyDeleteThis made me laugh out loud so hard!
DeleteLove her bows!
DeleteAnon 8.47. Well I love the hair bow, it matches her outfit which is just what I used to do with my daughter 21 years ago, I always matched her head bows to her outfits. If people have nothing else to moan about but babies hair bows they must lead a very boring life. My lovely daughter graduates today with a first class honours degree in English Literature so her headwear will be a bit different from the bows she wore as a baby π.
DeleteNo kidding! The headband doesnt look tight at all. If it did then sure maybe say something. But goodness. Go on any social media page and see millions of babies with headbands on. They don't get criticized. Ugh.
Deleteπ You go, baby girl!
DeleteMillions of babies with headbands on? Wow. Do they issue these for every XY birth these days?
Deleteall three seewald children look very much like their daddy w/ tiny peices of their momma
DeleteLol lol lol, best comment, like ever...I'm dyinπ€£π
DeleteAll three Seewald kids look like Jessa, it's almost funny like there is nothing from Ben seen in them.
Deleteher outfit is just too cute too!
ReplyDeleteHow much does the bow weigh?
ReplyDeleteLike two ounces. Why, are you looking for one for your baby?
DeleteOh, get over it. Most times it's just for photo ops. And who cares. The baby is fine.
DeleteWhy does anyone need to "photo op" their kids?
DeleteVery little, thanks for asking.
Delete@8:13 Is that what her baby is, a photo opportunity? You sure don't need to put a hot head wrap on your baby in July in Arkansas for any medical reason so it must be just to show her off for the camera. Isn't that precious.
Delete@ 12.59pm Hothead wrap? What's that? made me laugh.
DeleteDoubt she will be wearing this all the time. Baby looks like her brothers and Jessa God bless her.
12:59, they do have air conditioning in Arkansas.
DeleteIt's really not unusual to put a baby in cute clothes and take pictures. I would venture to say most parents do that.
DeleteShe sure is getting to look more like her brothers!
ReplyDeletei always thought she favored Henry but here she is favoring Spurge... Sweet baby
ReplyDeleteSh looks 100% like Jessa. Spurgeon looks like Jessa too.
DeleteShe looks just like Spurgeon! Hope she will have curly hair like him. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteIvy looks like her brothers, she will be beautiful like her mother.
ReplyDeleteDoes this beautiful baby have vitaligo? My husband has it and I couldn’t help wondering when I saw her splotchy skin. I pray she doesn’t.
ReplyDeleteThat's baby acne my son had it pretty bad it can make them look very blotchy.
DeleteWell, you win the prize for the most insensitive comment of the day!
DeleteSplotchy skin? I'm not sure what you're talking about. She doesn't look splotchy to me.
DeleteNo she just has baby acne, it doesn’t look at all like she had vitiligo. And even if she did, who cares, it wouldn’t take away at all from her beauty.
DeleteWhy is it that when the Duggar’s proudly share a photo with us, some insensitive, nasty person has to wonder what disease, weakness, flaw that baby has? I pray for those posters that they will never have to experience such vitriol. It’s ridiculous.
DeleteIt looks like a condition called milia. It’s where small white bumps appear on the skin, usually grouped in batches around the cheeks, chin, & nose, though they can develop elsewhere. They develop when skin flakes become trapped under the skin, or when keratin builds up & becomes trapped. In babies it usually disappears on its own after a couple of weeks.
DeleteAnon 4:27. Amen to that. Most of the time they claim the baby has some disease or condition I never heard of.
DeleteLil miss Ivy is Spurgeons twin she is beautiful. My daughter weighed almost 9lbs at birth and was almost 15 lbs at 6 weeks they gain and grow so fast they are healthy for sure.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like Spurgeon
ReplyDeleteI thought she looked a lot like Felicity at birth, but now I sure see a lot of Spurgeon in her. Glad that everything is going well.
ReplyDeleteFelicity is of Italian descent, dark eyes, Italian nose, nothing in common with Jessa's babies at all.
DeleteShe's adorable and I love the bows, if I am ever blessed with a girl I'll be doing bows myself and I'm not from the south (I read on a previous post people think its a South thing). I have two boy one 3 years in and another 5 weeks old, and just like with my oldest my youngest gets called a girl by strangers while we are out and it drives me nuts even though I have him dress in clothing for a boy.
ReplyDeleteIvy is very cute. However,in my opinion, she would look cuter without the bow.
ReplyDeleteJane R
I think she would look cute no matter what!
DeleteOkay, but she’s not your child. Don’t feel that you have to weigh in.
DeleteThe best thing about having a girls is that you can dress her in little dresses and put her in bows, and there is a huge variety of those. Don't get the comments that criticize bows on babies. Bow ARE cute.
ReplyDeleteIDK, Spurgeon's eyes, maybe, but there's a strong resemblance to Henry in Ivy, too. Very cute & love how Jessa's dressing her! ❤
ReplyDeleteIvy looks much more like her brother Spurgeon.
DeleteWait - I don’t get it - why are people hating on the bow? Will someone clear this up for me? What’s the issue with bows?
ReplyDeleteIs Jessa and the family okay? We haven't had a Ivy update since July.
