Felicity Vuolo and Adelyn Foto
Yesterday, we shared a photo of Jinger, Felicity, and Jinger's friend Adelyn Foto, taken when Adelyn visited Laredo last fall. The photo is a few months old, but it was sweet to see a snapshot of a younger Felicity (she is now sitting up and crawling!).

You have a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteFelicity is one adorable little girl! Spreading joy to everyone! <3
ReplyDeleteFelicity is adorable. I love seeing pictures of her. Jinger and Jeremy are blessed with that little sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteOh such a sweet photo
ReplyDeleteShe is an incredibly cute baby. They must be just loving parenting her.
ReplyDeleteOh Felicity is a gorgeous baby. Love seeing babies laugh like that. Looking at this picture makes me want grandchildren, though as neither of my children are even married yet i shall just have to be patient & coo over other people’s babies for the foreseeable future.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little doll!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful
ReplyDeleteLittle Felicity, here’s wishing you are granted the freedom to enjoy school, a proper education, sports teams and activities with friends, books, music, dancing, prom, and - when the time is right - learning how to support yourself.
ReplyDeleteShe'll probably end up doing exactly what her mother did, and they'll say it was Felicity's choice. Although I can't understand how anyone has a choice when they are raised with strict regulations and expectations the way the Duggar kids were/are.
DeleteI have a hunch you’re going to get a lot of feedback on that comment!
DeleteActually...let's hope Felicity does not go to public school. California has a horrible new sex ed curriculum. I won't go into the details, but it's demonic.
Delete6:32, I was homeschooled and was able to do all that and more🙄 Being home schooled doesn’t instantly mean you live a sheltered, uneducated life. Though I’m sure that if Jinger and Jeremy do decide to homeschool Felicity they’ll use a different homeschooling program than the Duggars did.
Delete@10:46- Parents have the right to opt out of sex education lessons for their children under the California Healthy Youth Act. No one can force parents to have their child participate. Some of the more controversial classroom books/resources are suggested, not mandated. Your use of the term "demonic" is uncalled for. While you may not agree with some of the curriculum, education officials are not evil as you imply, but are simply trying to do what they think is best for students in the long run. The updated Health Education Curriculum Framework includes the SUGGESTED use of gender-neutral and LGBTQ-inclusive language, material on consent and sex-trafficking and the continued teaching of HIV prevention, which was enacted into law under the California Healthy Youth Act in 2016.
DeleteI agree with the original poster. Allowing Felicity to experience diversity and opportunities for socialization is so important. 10:46- are you kidding? Saying sex ed is demonic is a bit dramatic. Different people experience intimacy in different ways. It is not anyone's place to judge, but just to teach at an age appropriate level. If Felicity is going to grow up in LA, she will be exposed to many different types of partnerships. Leaving her in the dark is not the answer. Her parents can not shelter her from the world.
DeleteBeing homeschooled does not mean you are uneducated. That is ridiculous. Would you have said that your US presidents in the past were uneducated or what about the Kipling family who have doctors as children aka the brainy bunch.
DeleteAnd so what if she never gets to go to a prom. Me neither and praise God and judging by the way public schools are, I wouldn't even send my Pitbull dog inside one. These places are no place for Christian children.
The Duggars have demonstrated how varied and diverse the homeschool experience can be.
I hope they opt for homeschooling, rather then that
Hello all!
Delete@ anon 10:46am. I was born and raised in Southern California, I went to public school thru HS and I don’t recall any demonic curriculum. Math was frightening- but that’s only because I’m don’t like the subject.
The reference to California is a recent development, and I agree that it's disturbing. No way I'd be letting my kids be exposed to that explicit garbage.
Delete@Unknown Schools are FULL of Christian children. And Jewish, and Muslim, and Hindu, and Shinto, and.... Those unruly kids you're complaining about are being raised in homes where everyone worships somehow. So who's to blame then for the condition of the schools, if the kids are Christian (or whatever) and going to church? I know plenty of kids from my church who got in trouble at school way back when. Some are still in trouble as adults. Being religious doesn't solve everything.
Delete@anon 4:08 PM -- I'm 10:46 AM -- I was born and raised in Los Angeles, went to only public schools, including UCLA, and still live here. Times have changed since I went to school. Google the new K-12 sex ed curriculum that California just passed. You can see pages from the books. I can't describe it here, because I know Ellie and Lily won't post my comment.
DeleteAnon 10:16 without even reading the K-12 sex ed curriculum that California just passed I could tell that from what we see and hear about California that it is a depraved place and much of it is void of any moral compass. I feel bad for the people who because of low income cannot get out of that State.
Delete6:16 & 10:16- The sky isn't falling! California parents have the option to not have their kids participate in the sex ed curriculum.
Delete@1:20 California is a depraved place? Oh-kaaay. But while you're at it, go ahead and list some more states we should avoid. Here's a start: Nevada - gambling. New Jersey - gambling. New York - political scandals. Illinois - political scandals. Washington DC - speaks for itself. Maryland - mayors who get arrested. West Virginia - highest opioid death rate. I could go on and on. Looks like the moral compass is askew no matter which direction you point it in. So don't single out California, if you want to be all-inclusive when it comes to depravity!
Delete9:04, no doubt the states you mentioned are full of depravity, but California was brought up because the explicit sex education mentioned is something that is going to be taught to children in public schools. We all know children imitate what they see and hear. Is there going to be an explosion of children molesting and raping other children? I'm heartbroken about children being taught things that they just don't need to know at that age, by people who have who knows what moral compass. We already have teachers in inappropriate relationships with students. Will this open the door for teachers grooming even more students?

ReplyDeleteHappy mother's day to the fashion icon of the sisters Jinger. Felicity looks just like Jing.
Why would you put anything even near a baby's ears that might impede their hearing? Those constant wide headbands are unnecessary and could be dangerous to developing hearing & speech, or be a choke hazard.
ReplyDeleteFirst time I've ever heard that head bands are hazardous to hearing! Pretty sure the mom would adjust the headband if it slipped over her ears. I don't think you really need to worry about that.
DeleteI highly doubt any baby in the world has ever developed hearing or speech troubles from wearing head bands. 🙄
DeleteWouldn't pediatricians would be warning against them, if that were the case? I think it's probably just for pix, no?
Delete3:15- Maybe they're just putting them on for photos. Unless you're with this family 24/7, you have no way of knowing if the headbands are used constantly or to a point where they could be dangerous. I'm amazed at how some people can create a whole narrative from just a few pictures.
DeleteDidn't you see the photo of Felicity's room with the dozen or so headbands hanging on the wall? Pretty sure she's wearing them constantly. We always see her with one in photos. Maybe pediatricians ARE warning against them. Maybe some moms aren't listening. I can't imagine putting anything over or near my child's ears. It would muffle the sound. My niece had speech delay because she had fluid in her ears and everything was muffled. Her parents & the doctor took awhile to figure this out.
DeleteI think she kept putting them on her baby because the baby was bald headed. She might have been called a boy by people so her Mom decided to put them on her.
Delete6:48, a baby would have to consistently or frequently have a head band actually covering her ears to have a chance of having her hearing/speech affected. I'm sure there must be careless moms out there, but the vast majority of moms are not going to just ignore a baby whose ears are being covered by a headband. They'll adjust it or remove it if it won't stay off the ears. Fluid in the ears is a constant thing. Not an incidental and easily corrected circumstance like a slipped head band.
DeleteFelicity is always such a happy baby. She and Gideon both look so happy all the time. Eileen
ReplyDeleteFelicity looks as if she will never be allowed to get dirty. It’s nice to dress your baby up cute now and then, however it’s starting to look like a prideful thing.
ReplyDeleteUh, because they post pics of their baby in cute, clean clothes that means they are prideful and will never let her get dirty?? Interesting.
DeleteUh, no. Not just because. Everything she wears and plays with is perfect as if she lives in a bubble. Everything just appears too perfect. That is NOT real life.
DeleteWhy r u all so worried about the babies future already? Live in the moment . Let worry about today . READ YOUR BIBLE FOLKS!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture! Can you ask where Ms. Foto got her hair band accessory? It is so pretty! Thank you. Piper in Colorado
