Jinger and Felicity Visit Arkansas

This week, Jinger and Felicity spent time in Arkansas with the Duggars. Growing up in a large clan makes it especially difficult to live so far away from everyone, so Jinger always enjoys having a chance to get back to Arkansas and hang with her family.

While there, she was able to introduce her daughter to MarketPlace Grill, a favorite Duggar restaurant. The family ordered a chocolate mess, but don't worry, Jinger didn't allow Felicity to try any.

    3. Oh didn’t know that

      Delete
    4. Babies can have sugar it's not going to hurt them.

      Delete
    5. 9:32, sugar is bad for you and babies digestive tracts are not ready for it, so yes, it can hurt them.

    6. Chocolate must be hard on the digestive try. Honestly I never realized this until I was in my thirties and married. My husband can't eat it and my 9 year old son cam only eat it once a year on his birthday because of tummy trouble.

    7. Chocolate has dairy, sugar, and caffeine, none of which are suitable for a baby (or us either, really, but I still eat it).

      Delete
    8. While chocolate has many things that aren't good for the body, it is most likely that they just have a rule that she doesn't get chocolate. Ya know, keeping your babies healthy and all that.

  2. So happy she got to visit, I know she gets terribly homesick, and now that she has a baby I'm sure even more so

    1. She never said so. Se never said she feels homesick. Of course we can imagine that, loving her family, she misses the company and the help that they could be, but she seems so happy to have her own dimension with her own family in Texas. They seem to be having a great time, traveling a lot and building friendships.

    2. I’m not the OP, but Jinger did say on an episode of the show that she gets homesick.

    3. I like Anon.6:52 PM comment. Why does people think a nice, innocent comment needs another comment...Jane

    4. Actually Jinger did say she was homesick back around the time they first discovered they were expecting and Jeremy arranged to JB and Michelle make a surprise visit.

  4. Felicity's a perfect combination of Jinger and Jeremy. I love the look she has on her face in the second picture. She's absolutely adorable!

  5. Jinger sure always seems to have lots of new clothes and monthly travels! Woo woo!

    1. Well she’s on a tv show so she is able to.

    2. I’ve noticed that Jinger and Jeremy also travel a lot on weekends. I find that weird because he’s a pastor, so he should be with his congregation, especially during the Sunday service

    3. One of the perks of being a reality TV star.

      Delete
    4. I think it's because he's a young pastor, so probably not the one in charge. I see him studying a lot and taking trips with the family to Christian conventions and stuff like that. I think that it's important to keep your education fresh and stimulated through meeting other people in the field.

    6. Well they are celebrities. I mean not like major Hollywood actors and actresses but still they are famous enough to get paid for the show, magazine articles, pictures released, advertising products on instagram, speaking conferences. They basically have their own brand of celebrity that they nourish and it sells. So yea I am sure they have plenty of money. Not millionaires bit very comfortable for such a young age.

  6. Felicity is darling! I love her big eyes.

  7. Felicity and Garrett are adorable. THey look to be about the same size. Joe and Kendra look great as does Jinger. I bet everyone was happy to see her.

  8. How long til you announce Jana's courtship?

    1. Jana is not courting

      Delete
    2. Time will tell who's right. But it's usually the ones who know about courtships, proposals, wedding days, and babies ahead of anyone else or ahead of official announcements. Do you really think the Duggars are going to start another season in 4 weeks without some sort of big announcement?

      Delete
    3. Who do you think Jana is "Courting" with? Rumors are always swirling and I don't pay much attention to them. I'm sure they'll make an announcement if she's actually dating at the beginning of the new season. Great kick-off episode.

      Delete
    4. The announcement was Jessa's pregnancy.

    5. Lol..I wish I had a dollar for every time a rumor was started about Jana dating.

  9. I hope Garrett's tilted head isn't a sign of developmental delay. At 7 months, he should have control of his head and be able to hold it straight. The rest of him is straight in that picture, so it's not how she's holding him. Felicity is a month behind him but shows much better control of her head and her hands.

    1. @9:00AM- I have a hunch you were more than anxious to share your unbelievably presumtuous assessment that's based on just one photo.

      Delete
    2. Oooor... He's just being lazy

      Delete
    3. I noticed some people commenting on Jinger’s oh (where this pic was posted), that the way his little head looks reminds them of their kids who have or had torticolis (tightness of the muscles of the neck).
They said a few rounds of PT could help.

      Delete
    4. Or it could be that he is just tilting his head on purpose. You cannot diagnose a condition from one picture. Notice he is looking towards the left.

      Delete
    5. Now we see why Joe and Kendra don't post many pictures of their baby. People are already coming up with their lists of what's wrong with him. Too bad doctors can't diagnose illnesses and conditions from one picture...we'd all save a lot of money.

      Delete
    6. Give it a rest. This is on a par with claiming JD looked "like he had a fever" and other stuff people claim about the Duggars.

    7. 10AM So you're never supposed to say a word if you see something that might be wrong? Something you've dealt with in your own child? You can't say a word or you'll be accused of not sincerely being concerned? That's another kind of bullying, you know.

      Delete
    8. @3:52- Saying something is wrong based on what you think you see in one photo is way out of line. Also, sometimes parents have a tendency to project their own experiences on other families and are hypervigiliant in looking for the same types of problems in other kids. Unless you are asked, keep quiet. If that parent has a concern and wants your advice, they'lll ask for it. Your concern is misplaced otherwise.

      Delete
    9. Anon 3:52. I think the issue is that it's impossible to tell if something wrong with a person from a picture. If you actually SEE a child with something that concerns you in real life then it's appropriate to tactfully indicate your concerns to the parent. I'm sure you're concerned about Garrett but a comment section on a blog with a picture of him is not the best venue to express your concerns.

      Delete
    10. 3:52PM- While you may be sincerely concerned, it's concern that is misplaced. For starters, you're assuming that the parent in question isn't already aware- if there is, indeed, a problem in the first place. I remember well all the unsolicited advice I got from some other mothers about my young son's speech difficulties. They wrongly assumed that I wasn't on the ball enough to make sure he'd been evaluated and seeing a speech therapist. (Said son is now a research scientist and talks just dandy, thank you!) Furthermore, one photograph of Kendra's baby is not an indication that there's any problem at all. If someone asks for advice, give it. Otherwise, leave it alone.

  10. Adorable pictures. The picture of Garrett looks like he has Torticollis, a tightened muscle, on one side of his neck. Can be remedied by gentle stretching of the affected muscle.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree!! Hope they are aware of how to remedy this.

      Delete
    2. 9:46- Good to know there are medical professionals such as you on this blog who can provide such an astute diagnosis based on just one photo, without ever seeing or interacting with the child!

      Delete
    3. It could also be an eye issue, when my daughter was that age she would tilt her head and we found out that in order to focus her eyes she had to tilt her head to focus due to weak eye muscles. This issue is fixed with prism lenses and or eye muscle therapy to strengthen the muscles.

      Delete
    4. Or maybe he was moving around and that's just where he was in mid-motion during the split second that the picture was taken.

      Delete
    5. I think Garrett is fine, probably just a coincidence the way his head is tilted. He is really cute!

      Delete
    6. I hope nobody take the picture of me sneezing you might diagnose me with all kinds of stuff, or say I'm on drugs

      Delete
    7. No wonder Joe and Kendra don't post a lot of pictures. All the "arm chair" doctors are busy diagnosing some sort of illness is a bit much.

      Delete
    8. This family could have perfectly pristine backgrounds in their pictures and make sure that every hair was in place, every smile was perfect, and every detail of their clothing perfect, and they would still get picky, speculating comments.

    9. And the next keyboard diagnosis is? Good grief, people, give it a rest!

  11. Ahh baby Garrett is so adorable. It's good to see him. His Mom and Dad are a lot more private then most of the others and I say good for them. I value privacy too so I can understand why they do it. It makes it so much more special when you do see them and their baby.

    1. As far as I can tell it's vanilla ice cream with lots and lots of chocolate syrup poured over it.

    2. I look at the Chocolate Mess pictures and wonder how that restaurant ever gets those glasses clean after coating them so thick in chocolate! Looks like you'd have to chisel off the chocolate at the base. That's a lot of pipe-clogging fat to put in any dishwasher, let alone your arteries.

    3. Anon 10:16. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the restaurant uses some sort of plastic throwaway glass for the "Chocolate Mess" dessert.

  21. STOP BEING MEAN ABOUT GARRETT!!!!!! I AM SURE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING WRONG WITH HIM, THEY WILL BE ON IT. KENDRA IS SMART, SO SHE WILL TAKE CARE OF ANYTHING GARRETT NEEDS, AND BE ABLE TO DO IT TOO!!! I THINK KENDRA IS DOING A GREAT JOB, BEING A MOTHER!!!!!!!!!

    1. You are right Justine about Kendra being able to take care of her son's needs. He looks perfectly fine to me. I always thought that Kendra has one of the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen and I bet her baby boy just lights up when he sees his Mommy smiling at him.

      Delete
    2. Kendra is a first-time mother like anyone else and everyone makes mistakes, big or small, with their first baby. I know I did, and so did my friends. There are days when you feel as if you know nothing about the little stranger who has come to join you! Plus Kendra is very young and has no medical degree, so she might not pick up on problems right away. People aren't being mean, they are worried. Let's be mature about this and face all the possibilities, instead of automatically sticking up for someone you don't even know.

    3. 257,
ONCE AGAIN, THE FAMILY KNOW KIDS, SO THERE IS LOTS OF HELP, AND KENDRA IS A VERY SMART PERSON!!!!!!

    4. 2:57 Both Kendra and Joseph come from huge families. They have no shortage of people to turn to for advice. I would also give them credit for having a pediatrician or family doctor. I seriously doubt they need to turn to keyboard warriors for help with parenting or medical issues.

      Delete
    5. 2:57 stay in your lane. Garret is an adorable baby.....period. Joe and Kendra do not need anyone on the websites help to care for their little guy, they probably don’t read the blog anyway to save reading such petty comments.

  23. Babies and children should be OFF LIMITS where "seemingly" rude comments are posted.Even the ones from "so called" concerned people who pretend to care, but really just want to complain and judge. We know your intentions, you know who you are. So where do we draw the line on those kind of comments.Remember the children did not choose the limelight so leave them alone...show some restraint will ya. I've have said this many many times...The content don't complain or criticize and Happy people dont hate.✌πŸ˜‡

    1. If babies and children should be off limits, then Duggars should not post pictures of their babies and children, period. But as it seems that's about all they post these days, they can expect comments. You can't be public AND private at the same time. They wouldn't have so much social interaction, both on the show and off, if they didn't want the attention and the comments it brings. How about letting them handle the comments themselves? They do respond to questions from viewers with their own comments, you know.

      Delete
    2. 11:16- So, the kids should be fair game because their parents lack sound judgment when it comes to protecting their privacy? How nice of you.

      Delete
    3. Clearly you can tell who is nice people and who is not, just by their comments, so transparent are they...that is so sad....Blessings y'all ✌πŸ“ΏπŸ˜‡
