Merry Christmas Eve! Thought we would share this new photo of Jim Bob and Jennifer, taken on the Duggars' annual Central American mission trip, which they returned from only a few days ago. This year, Jim Bob and Michelle went with Jana and some of the younger children.

DeleteSOS Ministries stands for Seekers of Souls. The Duggars are associated with them, so my guess is they are trying to save souls as well.

ReplyDeleteI think you're being a bit harsh. However, he doesn't look as "fresh" as he used to.
DeleteMy hubby is same age as JB and aging now with baldness, grey hairs. Hubby didn't become a Dad until nearly 40yrs so not young and definitely no grandchildren but we're just blessed for the 2 children we did eventually manage to have. I think JB looks good for his age.

DeleteWhere I come from -- Los Angeles -- he looks like a dad of normal age for a little girl that age. I can't speak to other parts of the country.
DeleteJB was 40 years old when Jenni was born. I don't think he looks like a grandfather to her here, just a regular dad. Nice to see Jenni smiling. I think she looks like Joseph and Jeremiah, they have similar noses.

ReplyDeleteHis oldest grandchild is Mackenzie who is 9yrs a little younger than Jennifer who is 11yrs.

ReplyDeleteI think the younger ones are getting more "parent time" now that there are fewer children in the household. I see that as a good thing.

DeleteBit like the older ones had more parent time as fewer of them - the children in the middle missed out both ways. I think it showed with Joy & Josiah in their wedding prep at times.
DeleteI think parents now are more involved with TV, media, church groups, older kids and their families. I think the older kids had an experience of a close-knit family, even if younger siblings were arriving often. Younger kids now are probably just getting to know their parents anew after their buddies get married and leave. I remember how Jenni was crying when Jill was getting married and then Joy. I agree that middle siblings missed out the most on parental care. But now probably Michelle would want to have some time for herself, after having so many pregnancies, and having 19 kids in one house. She looks so amazing, but I'd think she must be very tired of having kids around for like 30 years. They went to Bahamas recently I think just she and JB.
