The Not-So-Little Duggar Girls

Johannah Duggar, Jordyn and Josie Duggar, Mackynzie and Jennifer Duggar
Johannah Duggar, Jordyn Duggar,
Josie Duggar, Mackynzie Duggar, Jennifer Duggar

With Christmas just around the corner, the Duggars want to help you with your Christmas shopping. The four youngest Duggar daughters, plus niece Mackynzie, are pleased to offer a sale on their new CD, Happy Heart. If you buy two or more, you'll get them for just $10 each (a savings of $2 per CD). Visit the family's website to purchase.

On another note, can you believe how grown up these five Duggar girls are looking? They are still the "babies" of the family, but they sure don't look the part. Johannah just turned 13, Jennifer recently celebrated her 11th birthday, Jordyn and Josie will soon be 10 and 9, and Mackynzie turned 9 in October.

  1. Thanks for posting this lovely picture of the girls. Johannah is favoring Jessa imo. This would make a pretty Christmas card.

    1. I think Johannah is looking more like Jinger and Joy here. She's looking more and more grown up all the time!

  10. Are discounting these CD's so they won't have boxes of them left in the warehouse next year?

  11. I always enjoyed watching Johanna and Jackson being interviewed together when they were younger. It would have been fun to see how their interaction with each other changed as they reached adolescence. She is no longer a little girl and I agree, she is looking like Jessa. Beautiful.

  14. Johannah looks so pretty and grown up. She may be tired of being grouped in with the "little girls".

  15. Oh, wow. I barely recognized Johannah!

  16. None of them are "little girls" now. I wonder when they'll stop being called that.

    1. Not a single mention in this post referred to any of them as little girls.

    2. It's because of birth order. Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy are quite older than these girls so they were always refered to as the "big girls". Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn, and Josie will always be the "little girls" do to the age gap.

  18. They look a lot older

  19. Johanna looks like Joy, with a little of Jessa thrown in, and to me Jennifer looks a bit like Jill. Its crazy though to see some of the boys too as some look so similar. My two oldest biological boys look nothing alike but all my kids I adopted, 3 of them and in less then 2 months our 4th child from adoption is coming home. Crazy thing are the youngest 3 look so much alike, right down to their sizes and weights, all 3 are around 40 pounds and a little over 40 inches. And our littlest three are 8 yrs 7 months old, 6 years 7 months old and 5 yrs 3 months old, yet they are all the same size. Our one daughter to coming home is literally only 5 months older then our other daughter. And the most miraculous thing, ALL 6 kids biological and adopted are same personality wise. Its as if they are sextuplets even though they span from 22 to 5!!! God ordained for sure!!!! 😁 For any of you out there thinking about adopting, do not be surprised if your adopted kids look and act just like you. Alex and Phil on Youtube have 2 domestically adopted girls that look 100% just like their parents. It just goes to show, God picks out our kids, both homegrown and heartgrown for us!!!! Can not wait to meet our newest girl here soon and see what else God has in store!!! 2 biological and 4 adopted kids later and we may adopt more!!!! God is so good and kids are a blessing!!!

    1. My adopted children look nothing like my husband and I. We are Scandanavian and our kids are Korean. Was this not God-ordained? I think you're possibly giving others the wrong idea that if adopted children look like their adoptive parents, somehow that's a sign from God. Nothing could be further from the truth.

    2. 12:34. I find your comment to be hurtful and ignorant. My child is adopted. She is of a different ethnicity than my husband and I and is much darker than we are, therefore looks nothing like us. She also has her own unique personality. I assure you “for this child we PRAYED”. We didn’t want God to give us a clone of ourselves, but a child created in His image. Please be more mindful of your words.

    3. 12:34. What happens if you get a child that neither looks or acts like you. Will that child be considered God ordained as well?

      Delete
    4. If all my kids were the same personality wise, I'd be worried. Each is unique with their own personality. How is that not also God ordained?

      Delete
    5. Obviously this mom is just enjoying the special family God has given her, not trying to be hurtful. Pass on if it doesn't match your experience.

    6. I’m not understanding how the most “miraculous” part of your children is they all have the same personality? Im an identical twin, and we don’t even have the same personality as we are two individual persons.

      Delete
    7. 12:34- As an adoptive mother, I find your comments deeply troubling. If you have the expectation that the children you adopt are going to look like you or have your personality, then your motivation for adopting are in question. To imply that somehow God intervenes in this is ludicrous. This would be a very dull world if everyone within a family all looked and acted the same. Even within biological families there are many differences. How will you react if your new family member doesn't resemble you or has a completely different personality? God isn't rewarding you with a clones of yourself.

    8. Ok everyone, poor 12:34. I gather a little what she is saying. I have noticed it after a family has had a adopted child or children for quite a number of years that they actually start taking on the “look” and traits of the family that adopted them, particularly if they were adopted as a baby and had all that time to mold into the family. The ones I have observed, light or dark skinned, actually have some “look” resemblance and traits. It is actually amazing. I have marveled often that you can’t hardly tell the adopted children apart from the biological. Not in every adopted family, yes, but in quite a few. But this isn’t done in 2 years or 3years. You start seeing it in 10 years or so. So I wonder if this isn’t what the OP is indicating with her comment. Why are we so quick to jump with our comments instead of thinking a little and then acting?

    9. Nov. 24@12:34- Perhaps your observations are based on what you want to think is true, not necessarily on what is based on fact. The problem with the OP is that it was stated that these perceived similarities between the adopted children and parents is somehow ordained by God. Do you agree with this? IMO, this kind of thinking is what spreads misperceptions about adoption and may lead some parents to mistakenly think that if their adopted child doesn't resemble or act like them, God didn't "pick them out" for
them. There is no justification for the original comment.

  20. I know everyone is going to say this is mean, but what in the world did they put poor Josie in...……… all the flower girl dresses she has, and it looks like she is wearing a potato sack. she is such a cute little girl, if this is for a promo for them, I would think someone would help them with the attire. the whole buy used and save the difference has gone out the window, so why not make her look nice and put toghether… just my opinion

    1. Pretty sure Josie is wearing a flower girl dress from John and Abbie's wedding. There was a quick glimpse of Jordyn in that dress during the wedding special. I agree that the dress is too big for Josie though.

    2. You took the words right out of my mouth. Looks like they tried so hard to find her something in the matching color scheme that they settled for a woman's blouse. The others look like dolls, and they let Josie down on this one. Not cool.

    3. I thought Josie's dress would have been fine if hadn't been a couple sizes too large to fit her properly. I've seen her wearing ill fitting clothes in other photos as well. I'm not sure why unless it's the "you'll grow into it" thing my mother used to do when buying clothing for us.

    4. I agree. Unfortunately, it looks like an older woman's blouse that Josie is wearing. Too bad when the other girls look so nice.

      Delete
    5. I was thinking the same thing about Josie. How her clothes always seem so big on her. She is petite so may be Jana could adjust her clothes so they fit as nice as the other girls clothes.

    6. This picture appears to have been taken at John David’s recent wedding.

      Delete
    7. 7:12...why leave it up to Jana to adjust Josie’s clothes? Michelle is the Mother so it should be her job not Jana’s.

      Delete
    8. Michelle either has no say in what the girls wear or she does not care. Josie looks like she is playing dress up in her mommy's dress. . . . very big on her & too mature in style (even if it fit better).

    9. OP, I have noticed that very thing in many pictures of her and do not care for it either. Seems like they’re letting the youngest of the family down in clothes (really all 4 of the little girls in many pics) and still want to promote her to stardom with singing. It’s not balanced at all. They do have money to either get proper fitting clothes or hire someone to adjust the clothes for her.

  21. They are so beautiful girls, I think they don't need that much makeup so soon. I understand it was a special photo and a lot of girls like playing dressup but in my opinion they look much more beautiful without it. Cat from Canada

    1. The only one who really looks like she's wearing makeup is Johannah. She's 13 which is not an unusual age for girls to wear makeup.

    2. Cat, I totally agree. I was shocked and a little sad to see such a young girl wearing so much excessive amounts of makeup! I think they are gorgeous without gobs of makeup!

Girls are all good looking, but Jennifer has the look of a porcilane (sp) doll.

  24. Since not all of the 'little girls' are little any more, perhaps it would be more appropriate to refer to them as the 'younger girls'. Johanna certainly is NOT a little girl; she is a young lady now and should NOT be grouped in with 9 year olds. She looks out of place here.
