John Duggar and Abbie (Burnett) Duggar
TLC has just posted an album of photos from the wedding of John-David Duggar and Abbie Burnett. The two have been husband and wife for 11 days. The photos can be found by following this link to the TLC website.
The Duggar-Burnett wedding special will air Tuesday, November 27th, at 10pm ET/9pm CT, but on the 20th, the network is planning to upload a first look video. We will let you know as soon as it is available.
Why didn't John David shave? The scruffy look does not suit him.

DeleteI think he looks more handsome with a shadow beard than shaved! It defines him or something. Not all the time shaved always looks good on every man. Sometimes a shadow beard suits them better.

DeleteIt's really annoying, and unfair, that fans can't keep up to date with so many of the photos and clips.
Sometimes links won't work if your software needs updating.

Delete4:26, not true. Josh has been in or at other weddings, and they just don't film or photograph him for TLC purposes.
DeleteTLC never should let it go. Most contracts have morals clauses. He most certainly broke his. He most certainly is a liability for TLC. He most certainly jeopardized the entire family's ability to be on the show. Things he didn't think about until it was too late. He's lucky TLC is filming at all and cropping him out of the shots. I think TLC is in it for the money as much as the Duggars. But look what happened.

Delete@4:26 It is not TLC "never letting it go". It is contract issues. If someone appears on the show, they have to either pay the person and/or get them to sign a release.

Delete@ 4:26 If that's true then explain why Joe's wedding was filmed when Josh was a groomsman? They just work around it and edit out Josh, the Bates family and anyone else who is not able to be shown.
DeleteAre you all really still debating the Josh issue? TLC will do what’s right for them, he is family and will be included where appropriate without considering TLC. Life is about more than a tv show.

ReplyDeleteI completely agree. Some people acts like it's a medieval custom for the groom to shave lol. It's really silly and I think he looks handsome. I am just glad that the Duggars have a mind of their own and don't listen to comments on this website because those people think they can control the Duggars.

DeleteI think Jana is very happy with her BFF Laura. Not implying anything inappropriate. Some women are just very content with their female friendships. Jana and Laura have an enviable life. Neither has to worry about money or a career to support themselves. They travel all over. They get their baby-fix with all the nieces and nephews without the responsibility of full time parenting. They are each other’s companions (again not implying anything unGodly) so Jana can now mix with the married couples and not be left out. So, let’s leave Jana alone about the “let’s get Jana hitched” comments. If and when Jana wants to get married should be totally on her terms and timing.

DeleteAnd they can’t show because of Zach Bates. I believe I read somewhere that they can’t show any of Bates on their show because they have their own show, same as the Duggar’s can’t be shown on the Bates’ show because of TLC contract.

I think it is a Tiffany Blue Box. While I in no way begrudge their ability to buy Tiffany engagement rings ( I’m a Tiffany girl too) I never would have considered putting the box on the table of my unity candle. That’s just a bit tacky😳

Abbie was beautiful as were the bridesmaids. Looking forward to seeing the parents and the little kids that were in the wedding. You did a great job John and Abbie and congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI know I’m going to get killed for this, but this couple looks SO much more comfortable with each other and genuinely excited and ready for the next step than the previous Duggar couples. Maybe a couple years of maturity helps a bit? It probably matters not much in the long run, but an easier/happier start is always a good thing!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I think being a bit older, having had a job (Abbie) helped a lot. They are far more ready for marriage than the other Duggar siblings were.

DeleteI agree. The other couple that seemed a bit more ready is Jinger and Jeremy. Jeremy was a bit older as well and Jinger was not as young as some of her siblings. Joy-Anna, Kendra and Lauren were all very, very young. Lauren seems the most mature and ready of the three. Perhaps her college experience helped. Of the men, Ben struck me as having a lot of growing up to do when he married. He seems to have matured a lot since then.
DeleteNope. Not going to kill you for saying that. I agree 100%. The others wanted to go on date...alone..like other teenagers do. Abbie and John-David wanted marriage. Definately can see the few extra years, Abbie having an education and career, and John-David not being obsessed with being a reality tv Star has made this couple much more mature and ready for this adventure called marriage. I’m truly happy for them.
DeleteI thought I would chime in here too, and say that I totally agree! By all means, there is nothing wrong with getting married young. But there is just something special about having waited longer. There is more maturity and life experience gained, and the incredible joy is written all over their faces! :D
DeleteI agree; compare them to Austin and Joy. Joy is so insecure, but it’s not just her age. Part of it is that John David and Abbie are people who are very comfortable with life in general. I see Joseph and Kendra as individuals who are comfortable “in their own skin,” making them so much more at ease with others.

Likely, she's interested in which products Abbie uses to get her "controlled" curled look, as opposed to frizzy chaos that many curly girls bemoan. Does she have any tips and tricks she can share? I'm with Anonymous @ 9:00-I know quite a few naturally curly heads who would like to know.
Delete11:15 -- Wash and scrunch isn't always effective. There are actually certain products for curly hair that help with frizz and defining the curls. I think a tutorial would be great.

ReplyDelete. . . with John & Abbie now husband and wife and it appears there are no other weddings upcoming OR new pregnancy announcements, it will ne intersting to see what Duggar news we will hear about. I'm hoping we will be updated on all the grandchildren. For instance, is Jill homeschooling Israel?
