The third Duggar granddaughter has arrived, safe and sound, right around her due date!
Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo welcomed Felicity Nicole Vuolo yesterday, July 19th, 2018, at 4:37am. Just one day after Jim Bob's birthday. She weighed in at 8lbs, 3oz and was 19.5 inches long. As they say in the video below, the new parents are thankful for a healthy pregnancy, and they are grateful for a safe delivery, as well. Visit their website to see the Vuolos' first photos as a family of three.

Blessings to the Voulo family on the birth of their baby.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely name.
did she have a long labour and was it a home birth
ReplyDeleteFelicity is wearing a hospital bracelet so that answers that, but they haven’t said how long she was in labor yet
DeleteThey could have went afterward to have her checked out, jinger doesn’t have one on
DeleteProbably on left arm
DeleteAt the hospital I go to the daddy's also wear a hospital band. Maybe not there or maybe on the other arm. Anyways that's not really important, what matters is both are healthy.
DeleteThe bracelet would be on Jinger's other arm. The one that is hidden. The same arm as the baby.
Delete9:55, then it would be an out patient checkup and she wouldn’t need the bracelet
DeletePretty sure she had a hospital or birth center birth. While you may take your baby to the doctor to get her checked out, it would be on an out patient basis. It's unlikely a doctor or hospital would admit the baby to the hospital and put a security band on a perfectly healthy baby. Felicity Nicole is absolutely perfect and Jinger looks radiant. So happy for the Vuolos and the Duggars.
DeleteI don't know about the labor but it's obvious the baby was born in a hospital or birthing center.
DeleteGuess guess guess assume assume assume....can’t we just wait and hear it from mama and daddy? And does it matter where she gave birth?
DeleteWow everyone is always going on about the home births but if you watched the show Michael had her babies in the hospital under a doctor's care. Anna was the first to have a home birth and they always went well for her
DeleteI LOVE her name!! Best name yet!
ReplyDeleteFelicity means intense happiness which I am sure is what the new parents are feeling at the moment. Very happy for the new little family.
DeleteCongratulations on your new precious baby girl! Blessed wishes! ❤
ReplyDeleteI love the name
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful name! I knew they would pick something unique and pretty. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! And happy birthday to the beautiful girl❤️❤️❤️. She came on my birthday (only 24 years later 😂)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a healthy birth and beautiful baby girl
ReplyDeleteI am sure she is beautiful and I love the name
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the new parents
I absolutely love the name, I'm all for religious names (I myself have one) but it's nice to see something very on trend & so beautiful for a very beautiful little girl. Congrats jinger & Jeremy
ReplyDeleteThere is a wonderful Catholic saint called St Felicity.
DeleteFelicity is a religious name. She and St. Perpetua were the first women Martyrs! Beautiful symbolism!
DeleteActually Felicity was an early Christian martyr, so it is a religious name in that sense, though not a Biblical one.
DeleteI love the name too. We considered Felicity for our last. It is a saint's name after St. Felicitas.
Delete3:47, Felicitas and Perpetua weren’t Catholic
DeleteMay I say thank you to all the responders as I had no idea there is a saint Felicity (& I am catholic) so you have informed me of something I didn't know, & never learnt about in all my years at catholic convent school, so thank you. I do think it's a beautiful name & very classy & im happy they seem to have had a safe uncomplicated delivery.

ReplyDeleteCOngrats on your new born baby girl Felicity Nicole Vuolo Your biggest fan Neddy Constant.
Lovely name and it seems an uncomplicated delivery. Great news.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! What a beautiful name for a lovely little girl.
ReplyDeleteMama looks amazing too, so I take it she had a good birth experience.
I have been checking in everyday for this! Congratulations to Jeremy and Jinger! What a precious photo of the new family of 3. Felicity looks like a sweet little baby doll.
ReplyDeleteWhat a "Classy" Couple! The two of you are so humble, thankful and never fail to give God the glory!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the birth of your precious little girl! So thankful all went well and that Felicity is healthy and well!
Thank You both for sharing this experience with your viewers. Know that many care, have been praying for the three of you and so thankful to you for sharing your story through God's goodness!
Her name is BEAUTIFUL! Welcome to this world little Felicity Nicole!
God Bless your Family of "3"!
Cant see because i live in another country....
ReplyDeleteShe's precious - thanks for posting
ReplyDeleteYay! Cant wait to see their take on parenthood.
ReplyDeleteI've been checking this blog multiple times a day to see this announcement. Yay Jinger! Such a cute name too.
ReplyDeleteLOVE her name!! <3
ReplyDeleteHappy for the both of you. Very beautiful name God bless
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Jinger and Jeremy and to the entire Duggar family. Welcome to the world Felicity!
ReplyDeleteFelicity Vuolo is a mouthful for a little girl. Is there a family connection? ❤
ReplyDeleteFelicity Voulo is very easy to say, and is a beautiful name.
DeleteIn Australia and New Zealand Felicity get shortened to Flick or Fliss both cute nicknames. In the UK it was a very popular name with the upper classes, although it is no longer as popular, but it like many old traditional names has been making a comeback in recent years.
DeleteNicole is Jingers middle name. Felicity means happiness. It's a beautiful name.
DeleteIt's Vuolo, case in point. ❤
Delete5:27, doesn’t change the pronunciation so still not a mouthful, but yes Vuolo is the correct way to spell it ❤️
DeleteI agree. Fe-li-ci-ty Vu-o-lo... It does not ring. First name has e and i, last name - u and o... too many different vowels.
DeleteLulu Vuolo. Lola Vuolo. Rolo Vuolo. Matching vowels. :)
DeleteShe looks like both of them. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jeremy and Jinger!
ReplyDeleteAw, I love her name. Congratulations, Jinger & Jeremy!
ReplyDeleteI don't like the name. Yes, I said it. I think it's old fashioned and kitschy. It's a lot of syllables. I wonder how they'll shorten it.
ReplyDeleteWhy do they have to shorten it? Personally I think it’s a gorgeous name. It had four syllables, which really isn’t a big deal. Jeremy’s sisters name is Victoria which also has four syllables so I think they know it won’t be impossible to say.
DeleteFlick was how some Felicity's I knew at school shortened it, though I personally like the name
DeleteI agree it is too long. Possible short forms: Fels, Felsy, Feli, Felice, Felici.
DeleteOf any of the Duggar married kids so far, Jinger and Jeremy would have been the logical ones at this point to continue the "J" theme, since both their names begin with "J". They probably wanted to be their own family, though and obviously decided against it. They probably thought it would be too much. My parents' names both began with "E" and they named all of us with names beginning with "E".
That’s so nice to say! I wonder if people felt the same way about your name when you were born! How very rude your statement was.
DeleteProbably "Lissy". I hope they don't go with "Feli".
DeleteWhy would they?
DeleteGood thing she’s not yours. I don’t think it cool to comment negatively on a brand new baby’s name.
DeleteWell it’s a good thing you don’t have to name your child that then. I think is a beautiful name.
DeleteWhy does it need to be shortened? Felicity is a lovely name.
DeleteMayby Liz or Lizzy. I do like the name, but yeah i am all for names with more syllables :)
DeleteOP, why don’t you give us your name so we can criticize it? Oh wait, that would be a rude thing to do.
DeleteFliss? Liss? Cici?
DeleteThey don’t have to nickname her at all!! It is Felicity-period!!
DeleteI like Lissy for a nickname. That sounds super cute!
DeleteNo need for a choppy, less pretty nickname when she has a beautiful first name.
DeleteIf they shortened Spurgeon and Israel, they'll shorten Felicity.
DeleteJeremy and Jinger aren't Spurgeon and Israel's parents and didn't shorten their names. The Vuolos are the ones to determine if Felicity will have a nickname and may prefer to call her by her beautiful name.
DeleteCongrats from my mom and I. We both think she's beautiful. Just, like her mom. We also love the name. God bless you all!
ReplyDeleteBest couple a modern name and a safe hospital birth. Not a dramatic birth but safe and a little baby. She has done everything perfect.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, a modern name??
DeleteWe still don’t know if there wasn’t any drama, we haven’t seen the episode with details yet.
DeleteAnd, taking their time to have this sweet baby girl!
DeleteCongratulations! Glad everyone is doing well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful name for their baby daughter. So happy for the Vuolos, especially that all is well. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI love the name and congratulations

SOmEoNe iS suPEr exCITeD¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteInteresting choice of names for an anti-Catholic family. St. Felicity.
ReplyDeleteFelicitas (later Felicity) was not Catholic, she was an early Christian, sooooooooo yeah, seems like a perfect name
DeleteYup! I sincerely doubt they even know about St. Felicity. Catholic School..Nun taught gal here😃
DeletePerhaps a “wink” to Jeremy’s father’s side religion!
DeleteFelicity also means happiness, which is a meaning anyone of any religion can relate to. I like the musical quality of it.
DeleteI read that Felicity was one of the names used by the Puritans (who also liked to name their children things like Patience, Prudence, and many other character quality names). So not a Catholic name, per se.
Delete1:42, I’m not catholic and have known about her and Perpetua since I was young. They weren’t Catholics, they were early Christians.
Delete9:54. St.Felicity was too Catholic.
DeleteAnon at 954 am. Pretty sure Catholics themselves would disagree with you but that's probably what the Vuolos would say themselves regarding the irony, that Felicitas wasn't really Catholic.
Delete6:01&10:50, Felicitas and Perpetua died in 203AD, and Catholicism didn’t come around until like 1054AD, so yeah, they weren’t Catholic
DeleteSo excited for you guys!! Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family! What a sweet and spunky name, I like it
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love! This family is the cutest!! And of course little Felicity is dressed to the nines in the pic they shared!
ReplyDeleteShe looks fantastic. Not tired from an birth that is to long. Good choice to ho to the hospital.
ReplyDeleteYou can definitely have long hospital births. Once they admit you to the hospital, you have to be a certain cm dilated. But if things don't progress, they may want to do intervention. It just depends on the situation. I've had many hospital births and they went well, but painful and long.
DeleteJeremy and Jinger seem like very reasonable. Refreshing!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jinger and Jeremy. What a beautiful name. Welcome to the world Felicity Nicole. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteJoan,Marion and Marilyn
Congratulations, Jinger and Jeremy! Beautiful name! My cousin's name is Felicity.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Not sure that I like the name, especially in combination with the last name, too heavy.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new bundle of joy!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful name for a beautiful baby blessed to a beautiful couple! Congrats to them and both their families!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww beautiful family , congratulations and God's blessings. From Trinidad and Tobago.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jinger and Jeremy beautiful baby girl with a precious name congrats to grandparents and aunts and unvunc also
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the name. I've always loved Felicity. Blessings!!
ReplyDeleteJinger, is more beautiful now than she was before she had the baby⭐️ Motherhood makes a new mother more beautiful than ever ⭐️⭐️
ReplyDeleteJinger, looks amazing ⭐️
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family ⭐️
ReplyDeleteSweet name. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful name!! Nicole is Jinger’s middle name right? I feel certain it was Jeremy’s wish to name his daughter after her mama. Such a beautiful and loving couple. So incredibly sweet.
ReplyDeleteName is cute. Seems more about meaning than maybe a family name but good mom and baby are well. Nice family pic
ReplyDeletesuprised to hear the name its more an upper class english name than american
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jinger and Jeremy, what a beautiful and modern name, she is such a precious little doll. So happy to hear that Jinger and Felicity are both doing great, from the bracelet on baby’s wrist, I am assuming Jinger gave birth in a hospital. Good for her in taking every health care precaution available. Can’t wait to see them raise their sweet Felicity, they are going to be such amazing parents.
ReplyDeleteWhile I really like the name, it’s definitely not modern. It’s a very old name that you don’t hear much; maybe they will start a new trend.
DeleteI don't know that it's a modern name. I think it's a lovely name, but it reminds me of the American Girl doll of the same name from the Revolutionary War period.
Delete10:57, yes!! She was my favorite when I was little!
DeleteCongratulations
ReplyDeleteLove the name 😍
I am absolutely appalled at the number of rude comments regarding this beautiful baby's name. Jinger and Jeremy like the name for THEIR baby and I'm sure they have their reasons and I doubt they really care what YOU think. However, little Felicity will learn to read one day and she may just stumble across this page and read YOUR comments. Don't you think that will hurt her, the way people made fun of her name and made derogatory comments? Do you take pleasure in hurting others with your words, especially an innocent baby who had no say in what name she was given at birth? Why would you do that? Why would you want to hurt Jinger and Jeremy? I'm sure they do read this page on occasion and to see people attacking their choice of a name for their precious little girl, whom they obviously love and wanted very much, has got to be heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cold and cruel society we have become. Nobody rejoices in the birth of a new child anymore, instead they pick apart every little detail from where the mother gave birth, HOW she gave birth, what the baby's name is, what she's wearing - my God, why can't we just be happy for them and rejoice on this precious little gift God has blessed them with? Grow up people! We have enough hate in this world, don't attack an innocent little child because YOU don't like her name! Wow - I am ashamed of folks like you! Shame on you!
Karen knowing how social media can be then we shouldn't put all our personal information on it for all the world to see and expect only compliments from people. I think I am more shocked that the Duggars allow people who they don't know, will never meet, right into the delivery of their babies, and into their weddings and all to make money. I don't know 1 Pastor who would ever allow their personal life to be sold for money except Jeremy. So if you do that then this is what happens.
DeleteAMEN! Agree!
DeleteWell said daren D people have said some really mean things which I am just can't understand. It is a very sad reflection of today's world.
Delete5:36, but the attitude that "they're out there so they should expect it" is one of the reasons we have the terrible bullying and social media crisis we have today. It makes people feel that they have a right to criticize, bash, and find fault, and sadly most people do, because they can cowardly hide behind a computer screen all while picking others apart.
DeleteYes, exactly, 10:40!!
DeleteI was hoping they will pick something Italian for the name, some pretty name. Felicity is like this TV show. But it's obviously their choice to have a Felicity in their lives forever.
ReplyDeleteFelicity Oregano Vuolo. Now That's Italian. Actually, I'm a bit disappointed too... I was hoping they would name her Engelbertha, as I suggested several times previously.
DeleteWhy would they name her that?
DeleteWas that a bit of sarcasm Englebert?
DeleteWhy name her that?? Why of course, in honor of their greatest fan, namely, Me. I will not give up hope...maybe the next baby will be Englebert, or Englebertha.
DeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteBaby boom ended? :) 3 babies in one year, wow! Now Anna, Jessa or Jill are due for some announcements, and Josiah might have a honeymoon baby... John is also probably getting married soon. Joy is probably still recovering after her c-section. Maybe next year they will have 5 grandbabies.
This is the 3rd time they've had 3 grandbabies in one year. Israel, Meredith and Spurgeon were born the same year. As were Henry, Samuel and Mason.
DeleteThe name Felicity is by no means new It dates back to your Mayflower ancestors
ReplyDelete2:26, further back then that lol
DeleteWelcome to the world, beauty baby! You will have a great life with such fabulous parents. Sweet little princess...Love all you Vuolos.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jinger and Jeremy. Felicity is such a nice unique name. Lol.. Wish I would have come up with that name for my little girl. Jinger looks great like she never even gave bith. I love this sweet little family of three. They are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteFinally a Duggar picks a normal name. Love it Jinger. Your one of the smart ones in your family waited a year to get pregnant and enjoyed your time with your husband before starting a family so smart.
ReplyDeleteIt’s “you’re” (as in you are) not “your”. Maybe check your grammar before insinuating that some of the Duggar children aren’t smart.
DeleteI'd say Henry and Samuel are much more common names than Felicity. I wouldn't say Felicity is any more normal than Gideon or Garrett. They're all names that have been used as first names a lot historically, but not that common recently. The only Duggar name that's ever made me take pause was Spurgeon.
DeleteI like all the Duggar names way are you attacking their names
Delete10:55, I know like five Garretts, it’s a super common name where I live lol
DeleteYaaayyyy! She was born on my birthday! Beautiful name! Congrats, Jinger and Jeremy!
ReplyDeleteNo new parents want people to comment badly about the name they’ve chosen for their child. It’s so exciting to pick out a new baby’s name and when people comment negatively, it’s hurtful.
ReplyDeleteTo those that don’t care for the name,-fine. Just don’t voice your opinion for the happy family to see. They love the name and that’s all that
matters!
Congratulations to the new family!
So are you saying that all new parents want people to lie to them when presented with the baby's name? That we should all go around telling little white lies and hide our true thoughts? When I told people my baby's name, their reaction might have been untrue? Can I believe anything anyone says to me now? How is that a better situation? I'd rather deal with the truth than be placated with a lie, any day.
DeleteI think a bigger issue here is why a discussion and some truthful comments about a name are rattling some people so badly. Doesn't anyone remember the whole Spurgeon name discussion?
2:16, you are confusing being polite with being a liar. You are also equating opinion with truth. Just because you think it does not mean that you should say it or that you have a "right" to say it, especially if you claim that right as more important than someone else's feelings. Just because you think it does not mean that you are right. Baby names fall in the category of personal choice and opinion. You have the choice to not like someone else's choice of a baby name, and they have the choice to name their baby that name, but that doesn't mean that you can be selfish and push your opinion on someone else in the name of "truth." I think those who are being "rattled" are just tired of seeing the unkindness, selfishness, and rudeness that are becoming so common online and elsewhere in our society.
Delete2:16, unless the parents ask you for your opinion on their baby’s name, then yes, it is extremely rude to make mean comments about it. Grow up
DeleteWell 2:16 it’s not so much a lie, but being happy for the parents and the name they’ve chose for their baby.
DeleteWe all have a difference of opinion when it comes to naming our children. If someone comments about the child’s name, that’s just mean and unkind.
Whatever they choose to name their baby, I would never comment negatively. That’s not lying, that’s being joyful for every aspect of their journey into parenthood.
Jinger sure got the short end of the stick in the Duggar name department. No doubt she took special consideration to select a dignified name for her child.
ReplyDeleteFelicity sounds so elegant and feminine. I love it.
ReplyDelete
