  1. The Duggar family's greatest asset is their salesmanship, however the long term success of their various ventures is questionable due to their increasing numbers and limited customer base.

Cant wait for Lauren & Josiah s wedding & Jing & Jere s baby girl to be born. Great family tired of the mean comments about them.

    2. Sprouting avocado seeds in your kitchen is about as useful as sprouting sweet potatoes in a jar of water.

    3. If it were just Jinger who had clutter, I'd say that OP statement was being unnecessarily critical. But so far none of the married Duggar girls show much promise when it comes to being good housekeepers. Jill's kitchen in SA was always in disarray, and what we've seen at the current place is no different. Jessa showed on camera her huge dust bunnies and a pile of dirty disposable diapers. Joy apologized on camera that the house wasn't very organized even after they had moved in awhile.

Either those clean-up jurisdictions weren't strictly enforced at home, or the housekeeping rules there were very lax when the cameras weren't rolling. Something taught these girls that clutter, dirt, and disorder in a home were OK. I thought that being "keepers of the home" was supposed to be a cornerstone in their upbringing as women? At least that was what we were led to believe.

    4. You're right, it looked like a horders kitchen.

      Delete
    5. Yeah. Most people when they know their house is going to in a picture or in a video tidy up and make sure everything is put away so it looks good even if that's not how it looks most of the time. The Duggars don't seem to care if we see what sloppy housekeepers they are.

    6. It just looked lived in to me. Get a grip peoole!

    7. It's almost like once they're married and have moved out of the big house, they silently rebel against doing any more housework. And they're not ashamed to show it on TV, which is puzzling.

    8. Their kitchen looks like mine - not a lot of counter space or storage space, so it looks more cluttered than I would like. Their mugs are hung up neatly, their spices are lined up on the window sill (which tells me they probably don't have a lot of storage space), their mason jars are lined up. It doesn't look messy, just like they don't have a lot of room and that they're in the middle of things. Sorry, does not look like a hoarder's kitchen, and it doesn't look dirty either.

    9. They had to clean so much as children. Way beyond what is reasonable. And, now it’s their choice and they may not want to. They were forced as kids. I felt sorry for them. Yes, learning to clean up your own mess, etc is reasonable. But, making young ladies in dresses to clean boy’s bathrooms at 7 and 8 years old. C’mon. I think they just got so sick of it that they don’t put that much importance on it in their adult life. And, they have that right

      Delete
    10. Are you who have commented really unobservant or are you just choosing to be nasty? What is making their counters look cluttered is (a) what looks like dishes/utensils that have been washed, sitting on a towel and waiting to be dried and (b) food waiting to be prepared. They are in the middle of preparing a meal. They appear to not have much counter space to work with. What do you expect, honestly? Do you all just need to find something to criticize to make yourselves feel better?

    11. Hey I know eveveryone wants to get onto the Duggars about being sloppy and cluttery on camera but at least they're keeping it real! Letting us see their real life! I despise seeing an immaculate (whatever it is) kitchen in this sense for shows. Something I can't measure up to anyway so it's refreshing to see them in real life.

      Delete
    12. Oh my, are you serious? You are such great christian women because you have a superneat kitchen? Sorry, this makes me laugh.

    13. Jinger and Jeremy make a super cute couple. I look forward to seeing their baby after its born. It does seem like they need more storage in their kitchen. Some have said they're hordes or messy...ha ha...maybe you all should watch the Hoarders Buried Alive videos from TLC. You'll quickly learn that this sweet couple are far from being hoarders.

    15. Those of you who are complaining about Jinger’s kitchen need to take a look at your own kitchenl and get a life!

    16. The kitchen is almost always the messiest in my house. I'm constantly doing dishes or clearing off counter spaces in between meals

      Delete
    17. I looked at my own kitchen. It's clean and tidy and the dishwasher is humming. Thanks for asking.

      Delete
    18. Duggars are not the most organized people in the world, but they are not on the level of compulsive hoarders. In fact I confess that my kitchen is more cluttered than J+Js. Though I live in an apartment and don't even have a totally separate room for a kitchen.

      Delete
    19. I would beg to differ, 9:48. We've seen their warehouse on a few occasions. It's Hoarders Central in there. I thought they had that big charity yard sale years ago to clean it out?

  4. Jeremy could’ve at least dug a hole and put the avocado pit in there, instead of just throwing it.😂

    ReplyDelete
  5. Someone needs to explain to Jinger & Jeremy that you shouldn't keep your spices in glass jars on a sunny windowsill (the avocado video). The Texas sun will quickly fade the colors, and the hot temperatures created inside the jars will render those spices useless in no time!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Who cares? They look so pretty in glass jars sitting on the sill. That kitchen is so cluttered I can't imagine how she cooks anything

    4. Oooh, 11:22, you're right. If Joanna Gaines did it on TV, it must be OK!

      Delete
    5. Stop worrying. Jinger doesn't use spices. Remember when she didn't season the meat balls for the big spaghetti dinner?

      Delete
    6. That's true - Jinger is not a Spice Girl, despite her name! They must have hungry gourmet mice then because some of the jars looked a little empty.

      Delete
    7. Wasn't it Jana and Jessa who made the spaghetti dinner for Jeremy's bday?
The spices were put in the windowsill during the kitchen renovation. I'm guessing Jinger likes the way it looks and doesn't know it ages them faster.

      Delete
    8. The OP is right. I thought everyone knew not to store spices in glass jars in direct sunlight. Heat and light are a bad combo.

  6. So Jinger and Jeremy plan on spending the next 10 years nursing avocado plants in their house in order to (hopefully) get some fresh avocados. I can hardly wait. LOL

    1. Yes. If only she would put stuff away in her cabinets and stop trying to grow avocado plants in it.

    2. Jinger/Jeremy are good people, they are just having fun, as if they really mean they are going to be a real farmer, it was a joke, so take things lighter OK!!!! Remember they just moved in, so they need to start to plant stuff to, to make a garden, and some plants need to start out with roots!!! I mean this in a loving way, I am just standing up for them!!! They are 100% good!!!

  8. why does Jinger always call a baby a little one? Seems strange. So excited for her though that she is having a girl after so many boy grandchildren.

    2. I think it's a Southern thing.

    3. Yes, girls are the best. So happy for the first girl.

      Delete
    4. I live in the South, but we call a baby a baby and a toddler a little person because that's what they are. To our family, we're recognizing that the child is their own person, not Mommy/Daddy's "mini-me". Maybe because we've had extended family and a few former friends who wanted to make their child a carbon copy of themselves. LOL

      Delete
    5. I'm on the west coast and sometimes call babies and toddlers little ones. For me, it's a term of endearment like kiddos or loves.

      Delete
  9. Why does Jinger always call her baby a little one? Doesn't Jinger realize she's having a baby, not a toddler? At least Jeremy calls it a baby.

    ReplyDelete

    1. So, a baby isn't little? Do we have to be so opinionated and uncharitable?

      Delete
    2. It is odd how the Duggars always use that term "little one" instead of "baby" or "child." I've never heard anyone else talk that way exclusively.

      Delete
    3. Someone might have just started using that term in their family and it just stuck with everyone. It probably became a habit." Little one" is fine.

    2. The problem is most people use the comment section to knock the people they are supposed to be “fans” of instead of uplifting like the Duggars always try to be. If you are here to be the opposite of a fan then why be here at all?

  11. I hate to burst Jinger and Jeremy's bubble but avocados are typically grown on large (60 foot or more) trees in a mild sub tropical climate. If grown in a pot it takes about 10 years for a plant to be mature enough to bear fruit and that is only if you can get it to bloom. Do they have the patience to wait 10 years?

    ReplyDelete

    1. But wasn't Jeremy cute putting the pit in a little jar of water? He sure thinks so!

      Delete
    2. Yes I live in Florida and had a heck of a time trying to grow an avocado tree, let alone sprout one from a seed! I say go to the nursery and buy an already established one and plant it. It will get the process going a lot faster! It takes quite some time to produce any avocados. I gave up and just buy them as I need them! lol

      Delete
    3. It had to be that they were showing this for humor...jinger had that wry smile the whole time...I can't imagine Jeremy was being serious with any of it. Goodness it's common sense to know that would take a loooong time to grow. I think we were seeing his dry humor!

  12. Since she's a Swanson we can hope that Lauren will be a tidy person and not have all the clutter that Jinger (along with her sisters) show us regularly.

    4. Maybe the young marrieds are simply learning that it takes some work to keep house by yourself, as opposed to having a small army splitting all the chores. I'd rather a mom spend quality time with her children than keep a show worthy house. Having said that, there's really no good excuse though for a pile of dirty diapers laying around when the mom stays home full-time and has no other job besides homemaking, there's only two children, the other parent only works part-time (and is usually home), and no one in the household is/has been seriously ill.

  13. Love that jinger and jer are planting avocados, they’re certainly in the right climate for it. Unfortunately it will take closer to 10 years for their plants to actually produce fruit. I’ve planted a few over the years and my most successful attempt is still a med-large sized potted plant after 4 years. Perhaps theirs will grow a bit quicker in Texas but it will still be several years. Love the optimism! :)

  14. Can somebody let Jinger and Jeremy know that the avacado seed must be placed the root side down in the water ? One of the seed was kept upside down.

    1. Why bother? They'll tire of nursing avocado seeds as quickly as they did of 'roasting coffee beans". They both seem to have short attention spans.

      Delete
    2. 7:13, you don't know that they aren't still roasting coffee beans, so your comment is baseless.

      Delete
    3. I wouldn't really blame J+J for some of the silly scenarios the show sets up for them that are obviously staged, and I think the avocado scene and the coffee bean scene are both examples.

Sadly even though Jeremy actually has a job as a pastor, it seems the show has chosen NOT to mention anything about it, nor the many trips the couple has taken to interesting locales.

And while I can understand why the show-runners have chosen to avoid any controversial topics, that has the effects of making the adult Duggars come across as quite immature and superficial, obsessed with courtships, weddings, and babies and nothing else. Even though I get the sense J+J are actually much more mature than that.

      Delete
    4. I agree with you 5:11

    5. If they're still roasting coffee beans, where can we buy them? Jinger was going to start a business, remember?

      Delete
    6. Jinger and Jeremy constantly mention Jeremy is a pastor on the show. I don't think that Jeremy being a pastor is too controversial for TLC, 19 kids featured the Duggars going to religious conferences and ALERT, at the creation museum and showed their Bible studies.
The vast majority of trips the Vuolos take are either already featured on the show or religious conferences. Those conferences relate to his job and he may prefer to maintain his professionalism to further his career than have a camera crew following his every move. Their LA trips were related to seminary school.
I like that Counting On shows this couple having fun and spending time with friends. I think Jeremy and Jinger have more going on than what is being filmed and probably want aspects of their life away from the camera.

  15. Planting an avocado from a seed takes anywhere from 10 - 15 years. I think you will be buy more avocados between now & then. Try google for more information.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I think Jinger and Jeremy don’t care much about being part of the show so they are doing something silly and frivolous to entertain the film crew while they are there.

    ReplyDelete
  17. avocado farm? interesting

    ReplyDelete
  18. If you have a small kitchen with limited counter space it's not suited to horticultural activities. But never fear they'll lose interest in growing avocados and move on to something else.

  19. Love Jinger and Jeremy 💗 They will make amazing parents. I think its great all the haters come here and waste their time and life to preach and leave their comments😂 Its only putting money in the Duggars pockets!! Great job haters!! More comments more moolah more popularity and more hits to the ads and their site 😝

    1. I don't think anyone "hates" the Duggars but are mostly just remarking on their activities. The avocado scene was pretty silly by most people's standards. Their repeated showing of poor housekeeping skills is kind of sad IMO. Beats me why they want to appear on national TV with a messy house.

    2. This blog is running by friends of the Duggars rather than the Duggar family.
Why would you be happy others are hateful? I agree with you that Jeremy and Jinger will be great parents. I'm just disappointed that you think negativity is a good thing if someone can monetize it.

      Delete
    3. Actually the Duggars don't own this site, I don't even know if they visit or read the comments. While the bloggers do know them personally, they have never claimed to run the Official Duggar Fan Site though it seems to have reached a similar status among the fans. Your overall point about the critics is on point, though.

  20. In all fairness, Michelle did spend a good deal of time on the early #Kids and Counting episodes discussing jurisdictions, Keepers of the Home, organization, and the house keeping/training the children aspects of raising a large number of children. So, it does come across to long-time viewers and fans that all that was "just one more falsehood/lie" when we see Duggar marrieds with pretty messy homes (like stacks of dirty diapers lying around) or Jessa is shown cooking and using the same utensil to touch raw chicken and other things (salmonella poisoning- Cooking 101). The girls aren't perfect, but from the way Jim Bob and Michelle presented them to the world, they're supposed to know more than the average person their age because they were brought up so differently (Jim Bob and Michelle's words, not mine). So, I can see why some fans feel that they've been led on/lied to and no one likes being taken for a ride. If they address the discrepancies here, they get hated on by loyal fans accusing them of being haters (Irony). Viewers/fans/posters have every right to address the issues if the garment they bought isn't living up to the label's reputation. ;)
