If you want to criticize their modesty standard inconsistencies, I get it, but just coldly attacking her style choice on a public forum is classless.
Delete9:48- Feminine and cutesy is not for everyone. Sometimes simple, classic styles and colors work the best, depending on the body type. If I tried to wear that flowered dress, I'd look like a float in the Rose Bowl Parade.

Unless you're a native French speaker it doesn't matter because English doesn't differiantiate male and female by adding an "e" to the end of a word.
DeleteAlthough the word has its origins in french the spelling does matter, the OP is correct, the Oxford English Dictionary differentiates the words, fiancee is a woman engaged to be married and fiance is a man just because a word crosses into another language does not mean the rules automatically change.

DeleteAnon 9:24 is so very right. There's too many people thinking that being beautiful will solve all of life's problems. It gets you no where. Just take a look at the celebrity's in the world. No amount of beautifulness and money will make a happy person. They will always want more if that's what they're striving for. A good character is really what your looking for in a person and what ultimately makes a person "beautiful". Not just a face and figure. And THEN if that person happens to be good looking then that's a nice bonus!

ReplyDeleteAs for the mean comments, she is in style in this fashion. How old are the haters, apparently, way older and out of date with young ladies dresses, they are in every store. I have learned from being young and a cute model, haters are jealous and belittle young pretty girls because they are no longer youthful, envy shows in hate and disrespect, I will pray for your anger issues, lonely place to be. Anger and resentment is a cancer to the soul. We are all adults, and should act like one, WWJD? BE KIND and not judge harshly. Then, people tell kids not to bully other kids, yet everytime I come on this site there is nothing but bullying and childish behavior, from adults, the ones that tell kids not to bully. Huh. Have some class, be a good role model, act like a lady and and keep the toxic negativity in your own world where bitterness flourishes.

ReplyDeleteNo one "needs" to do anything, just as no one is guaranteed to have a lifetime contract with any network. Shows and their stars come and go with regularity- it's the name of the game. By the way, Derick stated that he was only volunteering his time and he made the decsion that his family quit the show.

What "far left" campaign are you talking about? TLC is not required to have people you want on a TV show and it's not some sort of vendetta against Josh or Derrick (who quit the show BTW) if they're not included in the cast. TV shows come and go, they rarely last more than a few years before viewers lose interest and move on to fresh shows.

I think it's sad that so many people feel the need to critique people's clothing! This blog is supposed to be a nice update on the activities of the Duggar family. If someone wants to make a positive or encouraging comment about someone's appearance I think that is fine, but what is the point of making negative or unkind comments? It's just rude and hurtful. I appreciate reading this blog and just can't understand what causes some people to make rude comments. By the way, I think everyone looks great!

Here in the U.S., I see people regularly go to the store in their pajama pants (day or night) and college kids wearing animal-themed adult "onesies" with hoods (think unicorns, bears, cats, etc.) thinking they look cute or are making some kind of a statement. *shaking my head* It's so nice to see people, especially the 28 and under set, actually dress up to mark an occasion.
