I am curious as to what Josh does for a living now. Is he back in the car business?
ReplyDeleteWho knows? Since he lost his job due to bad behavior, there's been no mention of what he does to support his family.
DeleteHes back working for his dad, ruunning a new car lot for him. I remember Michelle saying when Josh married Anna it was time to 'leave and cleave buddy', Josh never really managed it.

ReplyDeleteThe fact that Josh and Anna and their kids are all together there celebrating Josh's 30th birthday -- all credit to Anna. She is so sweet, beautiful and virtuous. She's kept her marriage and family together against all odds. He was crazy to ever run around on her. I hope he appreciates the pearl he's got now in her as a wife and mother of his kids.
ReplyDeleteAnna is incredible! I would have respected her for whatever choice she made, and I hope if he EVER cheats on her again his family throws him to the curb, gets Anna and her kids their own house, and support her fully.

ReplyDeleteI hope Josh will someday comprehend the absolute gift Anna has bestowed upon him. Biblically she had total right to have divorced. None of us really knows if her decision to stay was right or wrong as none of us know if Josh’s behind the camera life has really changed. I do believe with God all things are possible. I hope for Anna and her children Josh truly no longer offends anyone in any way.

DeleteIf Josh is anxious to return to the public stage alongside his family, it would make sense for him to sit down and speak about what he did to Anna and his steps since then. I don’t see why the rest of his family has to speak in his place all the time while he runs off to hide.

DeleteI don’t think he has run off and hid, most men who did treatment like Josh are advised to stay off the internet and keep there focus on home life and work. Josh did not harm his fans, his issues affected his family and it appears he is doing what he needs to do to make amends. He made a remorseful public statement following the incidents and beyond that his wife, children and extended family are the only ones that can ask for an apology. The Duggar family does not make money from their fans, they are paid by a production company for their participation in a reality show which fans have free choice to watch or not.
DeleteRequired, no. But I must say I would have more respect for Josh if he actually sat down for a televised interview, even a "softball" one with a friendly interviewer, of the type many other celebrities accused of various sins and crimes have set up for them.
DeleteI actually wouldn't feel this way if the whole Duggar family had decided to go the "no comment" route, which they also had a right to do. But as it is, we have heard from Josh's parents, sisters, brothers, and wife. It does leave me with an impression that Josh let his family members, including his victims, stand in the line of fire from the media and other critics, while he himself fled from the public eye, and so got spared all of that.
I do hope for the sake of all affected, that Josh has truly repented and made as much restitution as he could.
I don't blame him if he never wanted to be on camera again. No doubt he knows that he'll be criticized if he does and criticized if he doesn't (which is a familiar theme for their family).
