ReplyDeleteCute clip.....but, it is rather dated.
ReplyDeleteThat is cool. The most i pay for my shoes is $30. Kid sizes by the way
ReplyDeleteI remember this episode :) It's really something to realize that most of these girls are now married and parents themselves. Time sure flies...
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, forgot about Jill going barefoot at her wedding. Wonder if she regrets that decision.
ReplyDeleteSome people consider the church sanctuary carpet holy ground and therefore appropriate to not have shoes on. Been there, done that.
DeleteJill did not wear shoes because she was afraid of tripping and falling. She said it was one less thing to worry about.
DeleteThe church building is just a building. When Jesus came, all those ceremonial laws about the OT Temple were fulfilled by Him. I think it's okay.
DeleteWalking with bare feet..not a good idea, unless everyone has taken off their shoes. You are walking where others have walked, bringing dirt and whatever from outside.
DeleteShe could have chosen a low heel shoe and not been taller than Derick and still had her feet covered and protected but not be in danger of falling.
DeleteWalking with bare feet where others walk with bare feet isn't a good idea either. That's how foot diseases and plantar warts get spread.
DeleteOh they were so young back then! Like Debbie said in her comment above, time sure flies!
ReplyDeleteOf course she chooses the sparkly ones... The little girly girl is ready for the party!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing old clips like this! Happy memories!
ReplyDeleteSweet Jill :) her wedding was the episode I started with.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Jill was barefoot at her wedding!
ReplyDeleteI buy my shoes at the Goodwill as well. They have good shoes for a deal. Thrift stores are not as cheap as they use to be. I was shocked. Sometimes it's the Same as buying new. I still love thift stores.
ReplyDeleteThe prices at thrift stores have defintely gone up. Still love shopping secondhand but sometimes the prices are unreasonable.
DeleteI draw the line at used shoes!! Don’t want athletes foot or fungus that could be in shoes. Don’t mind clothes etc because you can wash or dry clean them. I’d rather buy new at a low cost shoe store or discount store. Nothing pricey tho
ReplyDeleteShoes can be cleaned as well. My teenage daughter enjoys thrift shopping, and I’ve been amazed at the deals she has scored on name brand sneakers, shoes, and boots, some that barely look worn. She’s never received any kind of fungus from those purchases, only numerous compliments! Why spend more for discount cheap leather (?) shoes when you can spend less on used, higher end footwear? Then, when a certain style is desired for an event that can’t be found second-hand, I’m happy to buy new, because a majority of the time, purchases have been made well within our budget. Win-win! :)
DeleteSame here! I draw the line at walking in someone else's shoes. It's just creepy and unsanitary to me.
Deleteagree. It is not recommended to buy used shoes; not good for the feet.
DeleteSo true, especially for children who's feet grow so fast, it is not wise to wear used shoes for that reason, ask any foot specialist if you dont want to believe.Plus as my personal reasoning, i think it is just plain gross!!!😝
DeletePersonally, I think that if the bridesmaids dresses match, so should their shoes. They should at least all be the same color. When my cousin got married her bridesmaids dresses were pink/red and their shoes were silver.
