Mason Duggar, who made his grand debut on September 12th, is about to turn four months old. In the photo below, the fifth-born spends some time chilling with Grandpa Duggar. Mason won't be the youngest Duggar grandchild for long--three more Duggar babies are due to arrive by the end of the summer!

Mason looks like he is having fun with Grandpa Duggar.
ReplyDeleteHe does?
DeleteHe's not even smiling or anything.
DeleteI can’t stop laughing
DeleteThis is why I don't like making comment. People like being mean for no good reason. Thanks for ruining my day.
DeleteHe just looks like he's chillin'
DeleteIt's ok Anon 9:39. Your comment was perfectly fine. Don't pay attention to them:)
DeleteI agree with Anon 3:34. Don't let people who dislike the Duggars bother you. This blog is for those of us who like them. :)
DeleteIt's ok 9:39, I don't think anyone was trying to be mean, it was just funny since Mason seems like a really mellow baby and not like he's laughing or anything. He just seems really content.
DeleteSo people find the original comment funny and suddenly they are Duggar haters? I think people can still like the Duggars while finding this comment a bit funny. Mason doesn’t look like he is “having fun with Grandpa Duggar”. He is sitting on a lap. That’s what babies do.
Delete8:14/9:39 -- Proverbs 12:18 says the words of the reckless pierce like swords. I'm sorry that the unkind comments some posted got you down. They should be ashamed of themselves. Sending love from Los Angeles.
DeleteJohn 18:23 "If I said something wrong," Jesus replied, "testify as to what is wrong. But if I spoke the truth, why did you strike me?"
DeletePlease grow up. No one said anything rude or "reckless" they responded to the comment just like people do with every other comment on this blog. How does mason look like he's having fun? He's sitting with a blank expression on his face.
DeleteHe is so precious! What a sweet family!
ReplyDeleteMason is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteWho designs a house so that a toilet is visible from the living space?
ReplyDeleteWho has to be so snarky?
DeleteWhat if you need to go to the bathroom, but still want to be part of the action?
DeleteReally?!! All you notice in a photo of a handsome little boy with his grandfather is that there is a toilet off the living room. I would think with the number of family members that would be an ideal spot for a powder room.
DeleteWho chooses to find something to pick at so they can choose to say something rude? Who does that?
DeleteMany people, designers and builders. The goal behind architecture is not always and exclusively aesthetics. Sometimes it is simply function. Things have to fit, and they have to be usable space. That is what worked there. So sorry it offends you though! Maybe you haven't been in many different types of homes?
DeleteI would think that with a family that big there is a toilet in every nook available!
DeleteA family that has 20+ members and is smart enough to place bathrooms where they are needed most!
Deletea family with piles of kids lol
DeleteLOL!! Truly!
DeleteWho comes to a fan page to complain about the placement of a bathroom?
DeleteSomeone with that many little kids is who designs a house with a toilet that is visible from the living space.
DeleteWith their open floor plan, a lot of things are visible from the living space. Since they spend a fair amount of time in that open space, I think it's a great idea to have a bathroom right there (especially for back in the day when they had a lot of smaller children all at one time, which is when they started building the house).
DeleteWho is this determined to find something to criticize?
DeleteWhy is that such a big deal? We all use a toilet
DeleteSomeone forgot to shut the door. It comes in handy with small children running around.
Delete9;58 Lots of people. Why did you feel so compelled to ask? The picture is about a loving grandfather and his beautiful grandson.
DeleteStop complaining over everything.
DeleteAs big as the house is and all the family members it’s only a downstairs bath and the door happens to be open at least it is not a toilet with no door .i have a downstairs bath in my house if the door was open u could see my toilet as well ..they are a family just like the rest of us who needs bedrooms and bathrooms as we all do !
DeleteNot a lot of privacy there, even with a door.
DeleteSomeone with 19 kids
DeleteMaybe next time just focus on what the sweet picture is supposed to be about instead of looking in the back round to see if there is something you can find about which to make a negative comment!
DeleteOur first home did. Had no problem. Glad to see you thought the toilet was more fascinating than a baby and his grandpa.
DeleteWell spotted.πHowever with so many little ones - what a good place to have it.πππππ
DeleteLilly and Ellie how do you proof every comment. Especially when these conversations get downright silly. You are the most dedicated people. I hope jim bob is paying you to drive interest and traffic because y’all have put in so much work!!!! Let’s all recognize the DEDICATION HERE of these two!!
DeleteIt's Toiletgate 2018.
DeleteAnon.11:24 P.M. You're so right, a big thank you Lily and Ellie for all your hard work. No harm in talking about a toilet. All these comments made me laugh...Jane
Delete9:58 AM, I actually think that's a good question. Thinking about the houses of my friends and family, I can't think of any bathroom with a toilet visible from the living space. I'm sure they did this for function, but it seems to be an unusual move, based on aesthetics.
DeleteToiletgate ha ha This blog needs more humor, not less!
DeleteAnd no I wouldn't want a toilet visible from my living room either. You couldn't even have a guest go in there without everyone knowing what was going on or hearing it.
Thanks for posting a Mason picture! Who does everyone think he resembles?
ReplyDeleteMason. He looks like himself. I find this question horribly offensive. As an mother of children I did not birth I absolutely hate it. All the tail wagging of “who do they look like”? THEMSELVES!!
DeleteJosh
DeleteGood grief, take a chill pill. If that offends you I can only imagine how much fun you are..
DeleteI think Mason is a good mix of the two.
McKenzieπ
Delete3:16 sorry you are offended at an innocent question. I am sure you are a very good mother. Children do tend to favor biological kin, but it doesn't take anything away from you at all.
Delete7:14- I'm sure you meant no offense at all. However, as an adoptive mom myself, I would caution people to refrain from emphasizing family resemblances around anyone you know is adopted, especially younger kids. It can lead to feelilngs of being left out or not belonging when so much is made of who looks like who.
DeleteHe looks a lot like McKenzie did when she was a baby. He's really cute!
DeleteAnon 3:16, I’m terribly sorry you were offended. I honestly feel that OP had no intentions of offending or upsetting anyone. Since you didn’t birth your children, I could see how that comment could be offensive if a stranger in public walked up to you and said something about your children looking or not looking like you. However, we ALL know that Mason is their biological child and he resembles his parents and grandparents. I think the OP’s comment/question was a fair one and had no intentions of upsetting or hurting you or anyone else. I apologize on the OP’s behalf for offending you or anyone else. I hope you have a great 2018 and keep loving your beautiful babies. I know that you are a great mommy!!!
DeleteSince the child is not actually adopted, and it's highly likely that other people besides me have an opinion on whether he resembles one relative or another, I stand by my original comment. So far we have McKynzie and Josh. Any others?
Delete3:16 - I think you might be overreacting. "Tail wagging"? Because of genetics, people often resemble other family members. I'm sure you resemble someone in your biological family. It's just a fact and hardly worth getting offended about.
Delete10:02, I'm not sure I understand your point in commenting. The people reading and commenting on this blog are most likely not young children who can't disassociate themselves from discussions about others. The audience here is mostly fans of this family, who come here to learn about the Duggar family and comment about the family. The question about who Mason resembles is a perfectly normal topic of conversation for this blog, and it's not the first time that people have discussed who a baby in this family resembles. It was an innocent question, and the whole adoption subject doesn't even apply in this case. No one should take offense at the question. The truth is that he does, in fact, resemble his big sister. Of course he's not a carbon copy of anyone else, he's his own person, but family resemblance is a perfectly normal topic of discussion.
DeleteI have 3 adopted children and when people tell me that one of them looks liike me or their father I get a smile a mile wide
Delete3:16 -- Your comment is what was offensive and unkind. Sounds like you need a hug.
DeleteMason is adorable!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat baby is a Keller through and through, Annas genes are strong. By the way thats a 'snazzy' pair of trousers Jimbob is wearing lol or are they PJ bottoms?
ReplyDeleteI think they are PJ's. What grown man has his picture taken in his PJ's?
DeleteThe fifth born to Anna and Josh.
DeleteHe is in the comfort of his own home with his grandson my parents take pics in their pjs as well at least he doesn’t have on a full suit holding the baby or made a video holding his grandson .its only a pic a simple one and not a video I see nothing wrong with it at least the man ain’t in his underwear !leave him alone !its a nice photo
DeleteLots of grown men have their pictures taken in PJ's, but only a few think it's necessary to share it nation-wide.
DeleteIt's pretty hard to tell from one photograph that a baby looks definitely like one side of the family or the other. People grow and change over the years and resemblances can also.
DeleteI am Anon 4:17. I meant my reply to poster Caring below.
DeleteThey're pjs my dad has the same pair lol 2:06 this picture was probably taken on Christmas and some people were still in pajamas who really cares?
DeleteLots of grown men who are in their own homes have their pictures take in their PJs. It's really, really not a big deal!
DeleteJim Bob’s Pj bottoms match the lining in Mason’s hoodie. The fact that I noticed that is concerning. I need a hobby
DeleteIf the baby had not been identified, I’d have had no clue whose it was, other than possibly Winston Churchill.
DeleteLOL oh my goodness Anon 6:42
DeleteWhen did taking picture in your PJs become modest?
DeleteI would ask the question would Jimbob allow any of his daughters to be photographed in their PJs, if the answer is no (which I think it is) then he shouldn't think its ok for him to do himself imo.
DeleteEllie and Lily -- Wish there was a way to "like" a certain comment. It's a way to offer support without posting a comment identical to so many others.
Delete9:24, as cool as that would be I don't think this type of blog setting allows you to do that
DeleteWow! So excited for all these grandduggars!!
ReplyDeleteI'm confused - cute little guy. But still confused
ReplyDeletehow is the 5th grandchild? Anna has 5, Jill has 2, Jessa has 2 = 7 Yes he is the youngest to Anna. Maybe it read "youngest grandson 5th born to Anna".
What a cutie that little guy is.
There would be no need to be confused if you just took a few seconds to think about it. It's very clear what the intention was here.
DeleteIt does not say Mason is fifth born grandchild. It says simply fifth born. He is fifth born to his parents, in his own personal sibling group.
DeleteThis is why you should just stick to names!!! Forget those numbers.
Delete5+2+2=9 :)
DeleteHe is the Fifth born of Josh and Anna.
Delete5+2+2=9
DeleteThe fifth born to Anna and Josh.
DeleteHe's the fifth born of Anna and Josh, not the fifth grand baby
DeleteThat would be 9 not 7. π
DeleteAWW MASON IS SO CUTE JIMBOB HOLDING HIS GRANDSON SMILING SO CUTE.
ReplyDeletePrecious sweet grandson, Mason! He looks so cute.
DeleteI'm confused as well.. JoyAnna and now Jinger are expecting, who is the third?
ReplyDeleteJoseph and Kendra are also expecting!
DeleteKendra is pregnant, joes wife.
DeleteKendra

DeleteKendra is also pregnant.
DeleteKendra, Joe Duggar's new wife, is also expecting.

DeleteKendra, Joseph's wife

Deletecousins cousins and more cousins -
ReplyDeleteThe cousins could fill a class room - so many being born so close together. . . .and (think about it) this is just the beginning. . . .what with 19 kids.
IMO - I doubt Jill will have any more babies. . . . she has not had an easy time giving birth.
John D & Jana will be in their 30s when they (might) have children. That will limit the cousin count just a bit. However, I think they will top off around 55-60. WOW
John David said he plans to be a "bachelor till the rapture" so I don't know if there will be any grandkids from him. Jana could adopt some of her kids if she gets married later in life or have multiples so she could still have a lot of kids
DeleteI'm going to guess that Jim Bob and Michelle end up with over 100 grandchildren. I picture at least Jessa and Joy having a baby every 15-18 months. The two of them alone could end up with 30-35children between them.
DeleteMy grandmother had 9 children and 49 grandchildren...Jane
DeleteIf Jill does not have any more children, that'll kind of confirm to me that she maybe had a hysterectomy after Samuel, and that would explain why she looked so, so sad after that birth. Samuel's birth was an extremely eventful time, and we didn't see pictures for a long time afterward.
DeleteYou don't need to have had a hysterectomy to call it quits. You could have many other things go wrong instead. They'll say that "God closed her womb" and that will be that.
DeleteI guess it'll also depend on the other kids ability to have kids. They could have a hard time giving birth like Jill. I'm really hoping Joy has a safe delivery. I know people have given birth as young as her, but she just seems really young, I hope she doesn't have huge babies like Jill and Jessa.
DeleteIf Jill can't have any more babies she'll probably adopt some.
DeleteHow many children or grandchildren they do or don't have is not a litmus test for Christianity or anything else for that matter. It takes no particular talent or skill to procreate. I would hope that the Duggars are good parents, as well as the next generation having children. Personally, I would never have wanted to have such a large family, for the simple reason that I wouldn't want the older kids to take on the full-time responsiblity of being caregivers for the younger ones.
DeleteAnonymous 8:42 please don’t speculate and start rumors about Jill having had a hysterectomy. She Nirvana any family member has made a statement indicating this has occurred. She had a difficult, long long labor, followed by a c-section. I don’t think she was sad after Sams birth I think she was exhausted and painful. Many women have c-sections and do not have hysterectomies. Your assumptions are rediculous!
DeleteInteresting, we do not see many pictures of Michelle holding/loving on the grandkids. She appears to be aloof - then again we only get glimpses into their lives.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought that too. And on their show, you'd also see Jim Bob kissing his daughters on the forehead, but you'd never see Michelle kissing her children. She did hug Jinger though in NYC after Jeremy proposed, and it was a good heartfelt hug, and I saw there that Michelle must be a really loving Mom, but off camera.
DeleteDon't know what you two [3:36 & 8:39] have pulled over your eyes but Michelle is always showing affection to all of her children.
Delete3:27 pm. You are disagreeing with both people? 3:36 pm says Michelle is aloof, and 8:39 pm says Michelle must be a really loving Mom, yet you disagree with both of them? Kind of weird
DeleteI don't get that impression of Michelle at all. I remember one episode when they were visiting Josh and Anna in D.C., and she was getting in all the baby time with Marcus that she possibly could before they had to head back home.
DeleteI got the impression that she's more of a baby person, not really an older child person. I don't mean that in an unkind way, I really do like this family, that's just what I've always thought.
DeleteJinger is pregnant :)
ReplyDeleteThat was announced already!
DeleteKendra is the 3rd one pregnant
ReplyDeleteJoe's wife, Kendra is also pregnant.
ReplyDeleteIt's Kendra (Joe's wife) that is pregnant as well
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY ππ JORDYNππ₯ It’s hard to believe you are 9 years old. You are very Beautiful πΈπππ❤️π
ReplyDeleteMichelle aloof? Are you kidding me? That is so far from the truth! Anyone that knows her says she is warm and loving, especially to her kids and grand kids.
ReplyDeleteExactly!! She is so kind and loving. In every interaction with her children or grandchildren she shows her loving spirit.
DeleteWhen?? Seriously..not being malicious. I’ve watched since 14 kids and counting. I have never noticed Michelle being affectionate toward any child sans Josie. She spoke more about what sibling would be getting their new “buddy” to raise around the 6 month point; and JB was her buddy, no children.
DeleteI have seen her hug her children many times and put her arm around them. She gets down on their level and talks to them. She is always kind and sweet in the tone she uses with them. She may not be kissy kissy but not everyone is. I hug my kids a lot but don’t kiss them much.
DeleteI have to agree with Anon 2:42 I have watched since the early days and I have never seen the Little ones run to their Mom when they were crying or even to jump on their Moms lap for a cuddle or even to walk over and just hug their Mom. She seemed to be mostly an instructor or teacher to them. My kids and well everyone I knows kids are very affectionate with us as we are to them also. There are lots of hugs and kisses and we can't imagine it any other way. She has a very different parenting style for sure. Maybe it's that buddy system that changes the normal and natural relationship between a Mom and her children.
DeleteShe did not console her desperately crying daughter the time they were shopping for Joy's wedding dress. Many thought that was heartless and unfeeling. I can't imagine any mother not taking immediate action when that happened!
Deletewhos child is that ?
ReplyDeleteJosh and Anna's.
DeleteIt is Josh and Anna's Fifth Child, who happened to be born on my nephew's birthday
DeleteGeniet van de kleinkinderen erg leuk dat er weer een paar onderweg zijn.Niets is mooier en dankbaar om kleinkinderen te zien opgroeien. Groeten uit Nederland
ReplyDeletePlease translate to English so we know what you said.
DeleteYou can copy it and put it through Google Translate yourself. There's no reason why someone who doesn't speak English would have to translate something for you.
DeleteWhy, if this needs to be translated, then Lily or Ellie need to be the one to ask. It's their blog. If they weren't fine posting it, then they wouldn't have.
DeleteTranslation: Enjoy the grandchildren very much, you have quite a few now and on the way. Nothing is more beautiful than watching grandchildren grow up. Greetings from the Netherlands
DeleteI think it's a really fancy way of saying "I like chicken" π to the foreign language poster.
DeleteAccording to Google Translate, this means: Enjoy the grandchildren very much that there are a few on the road*. Nothing is more beautiful and grateful to see grandchildren grow up. Greetings from the Netherlands
Delete*I'm guessing this means a few on the way
Anon @ 9:48 google translate translates things literally and language does not work like that. It is unreliable to use, it only gives you the 'jist' of what was actually said. The old expression lost in translation applies!
DeleteGoogle Translate is better than nothing and definitely better than asking a non-English speaking person to speak English!
DeleteDGGARS should market a diaper brand. . . they had said (during a fan interview) that they use cloth diapers. That is fine, but use hundreds and hundreds of paper plates - the landfills surely suffer from them.
ReplyDeleteThe girls have said recently that they use disposables.
DeleteUsing cloth diapers makes since for them, do you understand how many dishwashers they would need to have? Their water bill would be insane!
DeleteLOL! I got a big laugh out of imagining washing diapers in a dishwasher! Please don’t take offense, I know it was a mistake. A funny one.
DeleteThey have a commercial dishwasher in the back kitchen that can do a multitude of dishes in one very quick cycle. That's what restaurants use, and it doesn't cause an insane water bill. The Duggars don't even use paper plates, they use those awful Styrofoam ones.
Deletelol 10:43, I don't take any offense! I meant as far as why they use paper plates and not dishes, but I didn't make that very clear ππ
Delete10:46 how do you know restaurants don't have insane water bills? To be paying lots of unnecessary money on water when they can use paper of styrofoam plates which are much easier to clean up after is a better idea for their family.
DeleteAnon 9:39, if that comment ruins your day, then you must live in a bubble or take a lot of Xanax to get through your day....I know I do.
ReplyDeleteI only have to take it before I read some of the comments on this blog.
