Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth are approaching their eight-month wedding anniversary, which means it won't be long before they welcome their first child into the world. Baby Forsyth is due around the beginning of March, and although the expectant parents could have found out the gender weeks ago, they have chosen to be surprised.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. You are being unkind with your post. Ellie said that they are waiting to be surprised with the gender. She didn't say that they knew what they were having. You should try not to be so harsh when you post things on this blog. Lily and Ellie are such nice ladies.

ReplyDeleteEven though you can't tell by how someone is carrying a baby, I'm guessing a girl. I'm saddened by all the comments I'm reading everywhere about her size and when baby was conceived. Everyone is different and size is no reflection of conception date. Joy - you are beautiful! Praying for a safe labor/delivery and healthy baby!

ReplyDeleteI really want it to be a girl since there have been so many boys born lately. But I have a feeling that it's another boy. I think that Kendra is also having a boy. But I think that Jinger is having a girl. I am so excited that all three of them are expecting babies this year. And maybe Jessa will have another baby this year too! Or at least be expecting by the end. I hope that Anna and Jill both have another baby next year. All these grandbabies are so exciting!

ReplyDeleteSlightly off topic, but I'd love to know... do the duggar believe in baptism? I've never heard or seen of any of the young grandchildren being baptized... I understood that Baptists do believe in the need for Baptism... so I'm curious how it is we never hear talk of this. The show is popularly advertised, (by the duggars themselves) as sharing their belief in God with the world.
ReplyDeleteThey believe in Baptism but after one has trusted Jesus and their Lord and Savior. They do dedicate their babies to the Lord following Joseph and Mary's example when they presented Jesus in the temple.

DeleteBaptists dedicate our children back to God and promise to raise them in His admonition. We feel that baptism is more appropriate when each person makes the decision to accept the gift of salvation. We do not practice infant baptism.
DeleteThey probably do believe in baptism, although I doubt if they would baptize an infant since baptism is actually supposed to be something a person chooses to do as a symbol of faith once they have trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation. An infant wouldn't be capable of making that decision. Instead they would probably do what they call a child dedication during a church service where the parents promise to raise the child in a Christian home and teach them the ways of the Lord. Many Christian denominations, and probably most Baptists, believe that it is the individual's decision to be baptized after they have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, so that would have to be at an age where the child was old enough to understand their own need of a Savior. I know I was baptized as an infant, and I had both of my children baptized as infants, but that was before I really understood that baptism should be something the believer decides to do him or herself to show that they are a new creation in Christ. I hope this makes sense and helps.
