On December 26th, 2017, the Duggar Family Fan Blog turned eight years old. Over the past eight years, we have written more than 3,300 posts, but somehow it still feels like just yesterday when we chose a name for our corner of the web and started sharing all the latest Duggar updates.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we want to say a big thank you to all our faithful followers--those who have been with us from the beginning and those who have only recently started reading our site. You are the reason why we do what we do.
We would love to hear how long you have been reading and where you are reading from, so feel free to share a comment.
Here's to another eight years!
If you enjoy this blog, be sure to visit Ellie's other blogs (NashvilleWife.com and BatesFamilyBlog.com).

ReplyDeleteIt's been that long.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your blog, been reading since the beginning. It is nice that you keep the fans informed of all the new news. May need another header soon with all the new additions to the family.
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely. Working for the Duggars appears to be very rewarding.
ReplyDeleteneither lily or ellie work for the duggars. they are friends of theirs who just write a blog about them. the duggars also have their own blog
DeleteIf you do any sort of publicity for the Duggqars, you are indeed "working" for them.
DeleteI have been following the blog since the beginning. I love the blog. They you Ellie for keeping me up to date.

ReplyDeleteI read and follow your blog from Croatia, I found out about the Duggars when they lost Jubilee. That news appeared on my mail website. I thought, why is there a news about their miscarriage, that is not normal for that page. That has to be somwething important. I have been reading ever since... God really did amazing things in my heart watching them on YouTube. A few years after that, I had a difficult miscarriage. So I wish they would talk about that more... I love to read this blog, but I wish the comment section was nicer. Blessings, Natasa
ReplyDeleteI have been reading your blog for about 3 years. I'm from Vienna, Austria.
ReplyDeleteIm from Oregon and have been watching for 8 years

ReplyDeleteBeen reading for about 4 years. I am from Glasgow, Scotland.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember when I started reading your blog. 4 years maybe? I'm in Michigan. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't remember when I started reading, but it's been a couple of years. Love what you do here. This is the only place where I know for sure that what you are saying is true and accurate!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for taking the time out of your busy lives to keep this blog running and current. I enjoy looking at it each day to see what the new news is for the Duggars. :) I like that I can trust your blog, I don't listen to anything I hear from any other source out there.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading since very close to the beginning of the blog.
My name is Rachel, I am a mother of soon to be 8, and I am reading from NC. :)
I've been a regular reader for 4.5 years now. I love all of Ellie's blogs. I love checking in daily and being a part of this positive community. I am from Maine :)
ReplyDeleteCame across one of the first Duggar specials while channel surfing. I can't remember exactly how long I've been following your blog but probably from close to the beginning. I don't watch the Duggars anymore but do follow your blog on them and also the Bates blog. I live in British Columbia, Canada. Congratulations ladies on your 8th anniversary!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog. I check it daily. Started 3 or 4 years ago. I'm in the Los Angesles, CA area.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! I was so happy to find your blog years ago after being disgusted with the other Duggar blogs out there. I especially appreciated your coverage in the days since the 19 Kids show was canceled, as your blog was the only source of trusted information I could find to continue following their family news. Thank you for all your work!
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteBear in mind that all sources of information have a bias or an agenda. Critical thinking skills always come in handy.
DeleteAll sources?
DeleteYes, 1:29, but I'm referring to being disgusted by sites where it was open season on this family. It was nice to find a site where their family news was reported without all the snide overtones.
DeleteI live in virginia and I’ve been reading for years. I check this one and the Bates every single day (usually!)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on eight years. I've been a loyal reader from Maryland , for a long time. You are so patient and gracious with your readers, your remarkable and such a blessing. Thank you so much...Jane
ReplyDeleteI second that! Both of you are wonderfully patient and gracious!
DeleteCongratulations!! I check your blog 2-3x/wk! I’ve been following for about 3/4 years! I live in NC! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI’ve beeb reading for about 2 years now. And I’m from Texas. I enjoy the blog very much. Thank you for all of your time. :)
ReplyDeleteI am from Maine...Love reading your blogs!!! Thank you for keeping it going!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been following since Jill’s wedding in 2014 but I had been watching the show almost from the beginning. Thank you for being consistent with your blog as well as the Bates. Please consider starting the Willis clan again
ReplyDeleteWhy would she do that after what the Willis dad did? Isn't he in jail?
DeleteYes the father is in prison for the next 40 years but what does that have to do with the rest of this talented family. The children should not have to pay for the sins of the father.
DeleteYou don't get the point, AsaG. A blog about the Willis clan would bring nothing but controversial replies. Look at what posting a picture of Josh here brings, and he's not in jail.
DeleteI assure you I get it but again these talented young people have done nothing wrong. Why not focus on their lives after the 2nd worst tragedy of their lives. It may inspire others and the Bible says let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Josh has been forgiven, I thank God I have been forgiven. I will not judge and I believe there are others who will not judge as well. I stand by my request
DeleteCongrats, Ladies! I am from Alaska and have been following your Duggar blog for about 5 years. I also follow the Bates blog and occasionally Nashville wife. This is only my second comment ever on any of the blogs. I wanted to take the time and express my gratitude toward you two women for all your positive dedication and hard work over the years. I have truly enjoyed reading your entries. Thank you and congratulations on all your hard work!
ReplyDeleteHello! I want to say I started reading the blog while I was pregnant with my son (he is 4 :) ). I watched "19 Kids" when I had cable tv before I was married so that was quite a few yrs ago. I don't comment much but I enjoy reading about the family and seeing the next generation. I would love to have more children like the Duggars but it hasn't happened and it has been difficult but I'm thankful for the one we have. Thank you for the blogs! I am from the lovely state of Michigan :)
ReplyDeleteI love this blog! Thanks for everything that you do
ReplyDeleteReading 4 years from Austin, TX.
ReplyDeleteyay!!! glad you're going to continue this blog for another 8 years! this grandma from florida has been following you for about 7 years. you being friends with the duggars guarantees accurate information. i've seen your blog on youtube videos about the duggars, which i thought was cool, meaning so many people trust you for the truth! thank you so much for keeping us up-to-date and posting as often as you do.
ReplyDeleteIt was five years ago that I discovered the Duggars on YouTube, in the old 19 Kids and Counting shows. A while after that I found this blog and have been a regular reader ever since.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Conservative Christian from Finland but baptism was new to me, so it's been interesting getting to know the Duggars and their beliefs. :)
Thank you Lily and Ellie for this blog! I read the Bates blog, too. These are my favourites.
I read this blog to compare and contrast with the rest of the story. I read the comments for the rare gems that offer a more telling version, when they're allowed to be posted. It must have been nearly impossible to keep an upbeat spin going when some of the news broke. That was an interesting time in Duggar and blog history...
ReplyDeletecongratulations on 8 years :D My name is Kate, I'm a loyal reader from Poland, Europe. Love your blogs-thanks for them ! I check this blog and the Bates every single day :) Thank you for all your blogs :)
ReplyDeleteSince summer 2015, shortly after 19 kac was cancelled. I had just found out about their show three months ago.
ReplyDeleteI‘m from Germany.
Hay Johanna! I'm from germany too!
DeleteCongratulations to you from pam England
ReplyDeleteAbout 4 years, from Moncton, New-Brunswick, Canada!

ReplyDeleteI’ve been following the blog for a couple years now from Portland, Oregon.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for about a year now and I love it! I live in MalmΓΆ, Sweden.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on eight years of the Duggar family blog!! I am from Ontario, Canada and I've only been following for about 3 years. I don't post often, but check in almost everyday. I enjoy the Bates blog as well. It's refreshing to read about these families from one who receives the information first-hand. Your Nashville Wife blog is filled with creative, low cost ideas for weddings, birthdays, and gifts, and I enjoy your recipes as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for providing blogs that are informative and enjoyable.
Blessings
I started following this blog about four years ago, when I started following the Duggars. I’m from Alaska. I check this and the Bates blog several times a day!
ReplyDeleteI think I started reading this blog in Korea, which was three duty stations ago. I'm guessing I've been reading for about seven years?
ReplyDeleteI started following this blog around the time of Derick and Jill's courtship. It was about the same time that I got my first smart phone, and we gave up cable tv. Lol I also appreciate your tactful approach to reporting on the family! Keep up the great work. Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteI have been following this blog for about 6 years, I think. I started watching the Duggars when they had the special "14 Children and Pregnant Again". I became hooked right away and was so glad when they got their own show. And then once that was cancelled, I was so glad that the made a show about the older kids. I'm glad we still get to see some of the others on "Counting On". But I'm really glad for this blog to read about the whole family. Thanks so much Lily and Ellie for keeping this blog going so that we have nice things to see and read about the Duggars!
ReplyDeleteI am reading your blog for seven years. It's nice to hear about all the duggars. I live in the Netherlands.
ReplyDeleteHay everyone! I discovered this blog and the Bates blog I think two years ago! Since then I'm checking these blogs out at least twice a week! I like to hear and read about the duggars and bates because I'm from a large family too! And I can practice my english!
ReplyDeleteI'm from germany
Love this blog! I must have been reading since the beginning or close to the creation of this blog. (It feels like a routine I have always done..lol!) Anyhow, I am near Erie, Pa. Love the Duggar family and am so grateful for their show and their love for God. I wish there was more families on TV that was like theirs.
ReplyDeleteLove your blogs, Ellie! I'm sure it can be a tiresome endeavor sometimes when it's not convenient to post but you graciously keep on giving of yourself! Thankyou so much! I have been enjoying them a number of years now. I hope you don't give up! π
ReplyDeleteI have been reading this blog for the past 4ish years from Manitoba, Canada.
ReplyDeleteI think I've been reading since Israel's birth. I was in Santa Barbara now we are in Arizona. I enjoy reading updates but I wouldn't want to moderate the comments though. I can't imagine how many harsh comments that don't get published and the garbage you have to clear out of your minds.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY ππ JORDYNπΈπ It’s hard to believe you are 9 years old. You are very beautiful πππΈπ₯π
ReplyDeletebeen on the dugger blog now for 4yrs and i,m from England and i love them all
ReplyDeleteI'm in the UK and have been following for about 3/4 years. We're always behind here so I like that we can get updates. I just wish we'd had a few more of them recently...Samuel and Mason's births, Joe and Kendra's wedding prep, the recent honeymoons, Joy's pregnancy...the majority of people who follow are genuinely interested in their lives.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy & appreciate this blog. I check into it atleast once every day! I live in Ontario, Canada.
ReplyDeleteFrom: Texas
ReplyDeleteI think I've been reading your blog off and on since the beginning.
I thank God for all of you. About 2 years ago, I found your blog. Thank you for sharing your lives, high standards, and your heart. It is inspiring to the closeness and love that all the Duggars have for each other. Keep up the good work, and please never stop the connection. I live in Grand Haven, Michigan.
