The excitement continues! Yesterday, we shared that Joseph Duggar and Kendra (Caldwell) Duggar are expecting a baby, and today we have another big announcement to make. Are you ready?
Counting On will return to TLC in spring 2018! Are you looking forward to new episodes?

Spring? That means the news will be at least 6 months behind their real lives. Ancient history.
ReplyDeleteSo? We'll be getting to see Joy and Kendra's pregnancy, maybe Samuel and Mason's births -then again maybe not we'll see- Hopefully LOTS of Jinger and Jeremy. Maybe the girls will talk a little about their new outfits. I think it'll be cool.

DeleteI have trouble understanding the obsession with watching the Duggar births. I do not think TLC OWES it to fans to air the births. Maybe Jill did not want the world to watch Samuel's birth. To me childbirth is a private thing. I like hearing about it after the baby is here.

DeleteEarly on, their Christian beliefs were more a part of the program. That's no longer a focus. They are celebrities being followed around so no interest in their Christian beliefs like before. Sad they are in agreement with it.

DeleteWhenever there's a Duggar wedding, TLC should just have an hour long special to cover picking the dress, the cake, the venue, etc., and then have the wedding episode. That way the rest of the season can be normal stuff, not just tons of wedding details.
DeleteIt's the engagements, weddings, and babies that sell this show. Without them, they'd have nothing to air.

ReplyDeleteNot only reruns. There are also the annoying previews of what you'll see after 5 minutes of commercials. They fill an hour with about 20 minutes of original footage, between reruns, previews, and commercials. Commercials for programs the Duggars wouldn't let their children watch!
DeleteAMEN to those horrible commercials. I can't believe the Duggars want to be involved with a station that shows those during their show! It makes the Duggars look like they're only in it for the money. They don't care about content.

DeleteProbably not, but it could be. I wonder if something personal that the Dillard's didn't wish to share with the world happened during Jill's birth and Derrick made the comments about Jaz on purpose so he'd be fired and the episodes wouldn't be aired.
DeleteI agree something happened with that birth Jill and Derick and/or JimBob did not want the world to see. Unfortunately, Derick's comments have ended that paycheck. Hope he has a plan B to support his family!
DeleteIt might be that she got so much critism about last birth dragging out to danagerous birth that she had a c section against what she wanted as a home birtherand pass birth helper for others as mid wife. This one might been more dangerous for her and sam that even i woukdnt want to share the decision to do home birth and not hoslital as she did have to do. Jana even changed her opinion on home births maybe due to jills incorrect decison to first have 2nd birth at home. Some ladies can have home some just cant. So it is ok with me if we dont see it as it might embarrass jill and i wouldnt want to do that. She just tried to do so like her mother but michelle was blessed but in end had onky hospital births.

The Duggars have a habit of inviting young people to the house for family occasions, before there's an official announcement. Caleb was there for Jordyn's birthday the other day...

ReplyDeleteHe did not commit a crime (as Josh did) - Jill & Derick are a lovely couple and interesting.
While I still like Derick as a person, he did break contract rules, which you may not do. Jill will probably still be on, maybe they'll just film her while Derick is working.

I think there were going to be more episodes last season that focused more on Jill and Derrick, but then the whole Jaz thing happened and the episodes were pulled. I don't know that as a fact, just a speculation.

ReplyDeleteI just read about the frozen embryo that was born 24 years later and wondered if anyone in your family had thought of doing that type of adoption, rather than the traditional route to parenthood? That is such an unselfish act IMHO.

DeleteActress Sofia Vergara was sued by her ex for custody of their frozen embryos, which he wanted to raise. He contended that they were lives worthy of saving.
I think 8:53 AM was asking if the Duggars have considered adopting one of these tiny lives. And I wholeheartedly agree that it's a great idea for those of us pro-lifers to consider.

Delete@12:46.. Not so fast. Do you realize that only 30% survive the implantation process? 70% do not. That is why the Catholic Church is against IVF. Being Pro-Life means you are against any steps to cause the termination of all fertilized humans eggs.

It seems that it would be logical for someone who is adamantly pro-life to step up and have one implanted, give birth and raise it as their own. Yes, there’s a risk that it won’t be successful, but is the alternative acceptable to you? I don’t think IVF is going away any time soon.
Delete@10:12, Not so fast either. Depending on who you use as a source, up to 50% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. This can happen before the woman even knows she was (technically) pregnant. Fertilization ends in spontaneous termination more than you might think. Who or what is to blame there? Who knows. You get pregnant, it ends in a miscarriage...isn't that also a termination of a fertilized egg, in the broadest sense of the word? Yet the Catholic Church is not against that, nor are Pro-Lifers.

ReplyDeleteTLC needs to get a clue that censoring Christian values is destroying the very foundation that the show is based and centered on. I’m tired of specific and deliberate omissions of family members which is the complete opposite of their advertised “reality” tv. They are merely pushing their liberal agenda with specific editing and censorship of the show, leaving the viewers with a poorly discombobulated and confusing format in each episode. I’m glad that they are renewing the show but this Duggar fan will no longer support TLC’s antics. I will continue to be a fan of ALL of the Duggars, not just the ones allowed to be aired.

ReplyDeleteI love the Duggars even though I am at odds with many of their religious beliefs, but I accept they have as much of a right to those beliefs as I do to have mine. I prefer to just enjoy seeing the mostly joyful occasions in their lives.
