Lol Samuel obviously doesn't have microcephaly!
ReplyDeleteNot in the classic sense maybe but his forehead still seems odd...
DeleteOP here, yeah it does a little, but not from microcephaly. If he had that his head would be 3x smaller than the average baby.
DeleteLook up mild microcephaly...looks an aweful lot like Samuals head. Makes me wonder why they haven't been more open about Samual. Its been a secret since he was born it seems. The Dillards were much more open with big brother Israel

ReplyDeleteEvery picture we've seen of Samuel shows some sort of ridging of his skull. Is he OK? I know he's only 3 mo. old but I thought those skull plates moved into their proper places pretty quickly after birth. I also wonder, when I see his head, what sort of delivery story there was. Any OB nurses on board?
ReplyDeleteHey, this family has medical professionals if they need them. This is a cute baby with loving parents, they don’t need non-professional opinions about the shape of his scull. If they don’t want to share his birth story they don’t have to. Even public figures have a right to privacy about what they share.
DeleteBoth my boys both c sections both blog design and practically no hair you could see the Ridge in Thier skull plates for a long time, both over a year before it was no longer noticable. I wouldn't worry

Deletemy granddaughter inherited this odd-shaped skull from her other grandfather. She looked noticeably 'different' until her hair grew in at nearly Age 2. It was exhausting and sad that people thought it appropriate to constantly comment on her appearance, as far as to suggest she had mental issues and learning issues from the shape of her forehead. She's in Grade 1 now, and a more intelligent and beautiful child you cannot imagine. Think before you speak or write negative things about the appearance of a child; it's both hurtful and sad.

ReplyDeleteI've noticed that the Duggar kids have started wearing shorts recently. Apparently they've changed their convictions a bit in that department.
