Memories with the Duggar Kiddos

Now that 11 of their children are adults (soon to be 12, when Jason Duggar turns 18 in April), Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar only have a handful of little ones left. With the chaos of wedding preparation behind them (until the next Duggar courtship begins, and it's time to run the race once again), the parents of 19 took some time to make memories with their youngest kiddos.

Demolition Derby, anyone?

The Duggars love the demolition derby and have attended many times over the years.

Jim Bob and Michelle also took some of the children to a University of Arkansas Razorbacks football game.

    1. I agree! I think Jim bob and Michelle are great parents. But more then that I love to see men standing by their families. Jim bob is a great role mode.

    3. I agree. They are much more involved in purposefully training their children than a lot of parents.

  2. It's entertaining to watch cars smash into each other? If so, then they ought to start charging for the rush hour commutes around here.

    1. It's all the near misses that make it fun to watch. It's not like they just ram into each other right away!

    2. I agree I love watching the Duggars do anything. I love the kids. And Michelle well I can't say enough about her.

  5. Hey everyone -- how about today when reading this blog, if you feel like making a critical comment -- take a deep breath and say a prayer for someone instead? Our country and our world need it right now.

    2. We have prayed until our pray-er is worn out and tragedies keep happening.

    3. Thank you for this wonderful suggestion. It would drastically change our world if we would all commit to it.

    4. Prayer is never worn out. The Bible tells us that the effectual fervant prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16

  6. What a wonderful blessing to have a father involved in his children's lives which is becoming rare these days. I hope these children thank the good Lord everyday for their father.

    2. I really don’t think it’s rare. I think those that are not involved just get more attention therefore it seems like most are not part of their kids’ lives.

    4. Most fathers work a 9-5 job or longer hours to provide for their families and have to fit in quality time when they can, so lets not start knocking working fathers. Jimbob doesn't work those sort of hours so it is probably easier for him to spend time with them.

    5. I would not say its rare nowadays. There are many, many Strong Christian Fathers who get up in the wee hours of the morning and work long hard day's for their wives and children. The Fathers in my life and community strive hard to raise their children to love God, and others and to work hard and are passing these beautiful qualities on to their children. I see them spend quality time with the children and attend Church each week teaching them love and respect for God, family and Church. My husband along with so many others are worthy of so much honor and we as their daughters, wives, mothers and Grandmothers feel Blessed. They don't get the fanfare that comes with being in the public eye but they are the strong towers in our lives and in the lives of everyone around them and we wouldn't trade what we have for anything else, we are Blessed.

    6. There are wonderful fathers who are not Christian too.

  7. Why haven’t you added Tyler to the header? He is a Duggar now.

    1. I think you should leave that question alone. There are probably reasons that he is not added which most likely are none of our business.

    2. He's "only" living with them. He is not adopted.

    3. Tyler has always been part of the Duggar family ,
don't know his last name , but they did not adopt him ! !😁

    4. He isn't a Duggar. They have custody of him. He still has a mother

  8. 2:02 Rare to have fathers involved with their kids? I am happy to say that this isn't what I observe in my part of the world.

    1. 4:07 I live in a small town where most of the manufacturing jobs are gone. Single parent homes are the majority. The poverty rate is so high every child, regardless of income, eats free at school. Drugs, gangs and crime are on the rise. This is my part of the world. I truly admire men that take care of their families instead of just being "baby daddies." Sometimes I wish I were able to leave but can't afford to.

    2. Anon 3:56. When I read your post it broke my heart. I was thinking that if we as Christians could get together and adopt a family to help them out of dire circumstances that they are in it would make such a difference. There is a local Church in my area that does that and what they do is every 10 families get together and help a family with clothing, Holiday gifts and meals and monetary help for them to put towards bills etc. With help like that it would free up people such as you to put resources into being able to escape out of dangerous areas. It has proven to be such a Godsend to the families that our local Church is helping. Perhaps through this very blog we could start something like that. I will pray for you, although I don't know your name, rest assured that God knows you. In my prayers for you I will call you Anon 3:56. May God Bless you my friend

    1. Carla, Tyler probably does want is picture on the header. Is last name isn't Duggar it's something else.

    2. The married sisters have different last names. And if you think a child enjoys being the only one left out of something, you might want to give it a little more thought.

    3. Or he may not know this blog exists therefore doesn’t know about the header.

    4. Everyone keeps asking about Tyler. He matters too, but why do we need to keep asking. Just know he is in a good home with good influence. We do get to see occasional pictures of him.

    5. Maybe Tyler doesn’t read this blog so he probably doesn’t feel left out.

  15. Love Jim Bob and Michelle and Grandma Duggar!!!! Miss them so much - the show is just not the same without them. The show really needs the older Duggars to be a major part in order to make the show the hit it once was. Again TLC would rather play to the haters and have a so so show instead of having the mega hit 19 kids was. Also why is there no re-runs of the show ever and no commercials for the show?! TLC treats the show like their dirty little secret - guess they are hoping the Christian hating radicals will not see Christians on their network and start their protests and screaming again. TLC should support the show 100%. Lily and Ellie please feature Jim Bob, Michelle and Grandma Duggar on this blog MORE!

    1. "Christian hating radicals" - isn't that a bit extreme? And not a very nice thing to call someone else, if you call yourself a Christian? How is that promoting Christians in a positive light? How is that taking away hate?

    2. Betty I think maybe its Gods will that they are no longer on TLC. That channel has declined so bad that even the commercials played during the shows are filthy. I wouldn't imagine it is a good situation to do anything to help that network. Plus look what happens to the kids if something is wrong in their lives, the media and web will forever come after you about it. I think God spared the younger ones from all that.

  16. I love to see Jim Bob and Michelle because they are the original Duggar family and why I follow this blog. I loved all of their televised prgrams and read some of their books. They are a life changing example of Christian living and I have been encouraged and inspired by them. What a great vision they had to raise their children the way they did. What good friends they are to share their lives so freely. I am thankful for them and would like to see more like before.

    1. Cynthia: Tyler has not been adopted by the Duggars, they only have temporary guardianship of him while his mom gets her life back on track.

  18. The show isn't supposed to be the same show. It was supposed to change to focus on Jill and Jessa, not the parents. 19K was cancelled for a very good reason, if you remember. Not many want to see the parents after learning what we have learned about them.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Folks, please remember that Tyler is NOT a Duggar. This boy has NOT BEEN ADOPTED, nor has CUSTODY been granted. Permanent GUARDIANSHIP was granted and he has his own last name. This child deserves privacy and respect..he is not one of the 19 children. He's Michelle's grandnephew. Guardianship IS NOT ADOPTION. Please let this alone.

    1. Yeah, I don't get all the concern.

    2. Grace: Thank you, I have posted this a number of times myself. Tyler does deserve privacy but I think the Duggars have shared too much about him already. Four of the older Duggar girls are currently suing their county for invasion of privacy as children. While this is not the same thing in years to come Tyler may be embarassed and hurt that so much information was released about him and his moms situation. I think the Duggars need to stop publishing pictures of hom, and keep him off the show, if they ask for privacy from here on I am sure people would respect that for the sake of this young boy.

  20. If you readers want to split hairs, Tyler is a RUARK and whatever his father is. He doesn't have a drop of "Duggar blood' in him. He belongs to Michelle's side of the family. Guardianship was granted to them, not custody or adoption. Please leave this little boy alone with his privacy.

  22. Why is John-David (who is Jana's twin) not picked on about being 27 and not married?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well why can't people understand that he has not been adopted , because The Duggers have mentioned adoption so people automatically assume they have adopted him ...
he is part of the family and they're just taking care of him for a while .
Just because you have a house full of kiddos, doesn't mean you want more by adopting....or they already would have...

  25. What a wonderful family,I’m from a small family from Liverpool UK,I only have 1 sibling,we have really gotten along, very sad but not for the want of trying,I wish that I had lots of family like the Duggars, not saying that they all get along all the time but it does come accoss that Michelle & Him Bob do try to encourage the older Duggar children to get along & show their youngest siblings love & support,I would always encourage my own children to try to do the same,a healthy home life is a much better life than when you have kiddo’s constantly at each other’s throats.
I wish I was a Duggar, believe it or not,I would have had a better & more peaceful life if I had been a Duggar than I have had.
Thank god for this beautiful loving family, all the children are a absolute credit to Jim Bob & Michelle, keep up the good work, your both excellent parents & I’m sure there are quite a few parents out there who could learn by Jim
    Bob & Michelles example.God bless you all.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
