In mid-August, Joseph Duggar and fiance Kendra Caldwell embarked on a mission trip to Panama. They were accompanied by a group of friends, including Kendra's sister (Lauren Caldwell), Joy's mother-in-law (Roxanne Forsyth), and the gal who made Jinger's wedding cake.
While there, they partnered with local missionaries, shared their faith, and helped build a church building.

Wow! That's great! Joseph and Kendra are amazing!I
ReplyDeleteThat look great
DeleteAw they are so cute! We have some friends who did a missions trip to Panama. My oldest daughter will be going in January.
ReplyDeleteThose are some cute pictures! They look so in love! But if there were no caption saying they were on a brief mission trip to help build a church and share the gospel then it just looks like a vacation and photo ops.....
ReplyDeleteyep
DeleteWij are they not helping people in the US that need real help? Instead of this holiday.... Building houses for hurricane vicyims? Helping in local churches
ReplyDeleteIf you actually read the whole post you would have seen that they took that in mid August way before Hurricane Harvey.
DeleteDid it occur to you that the trip was planned long before the hurricane?
DeleteBut the trip was planned long AFTER other hurricanes and natural disasters. People are still trying to recover from Hurricane Matthew last year, and H. Sandy, and.... This cycle repeats every year, and it can take years to rebuild.
DeleteAt least they didn't hit up the public to pay their way on this mission, his bil should take note!
ReplyDeleteI love going on vacations with friends, too! Especially international ones. So exciting. Only we don't call it "mission work," we just call it vacation, or traveling.
ReplyDeletewell if they're doing mission work it's a mission trip
DeleteDo you share your faith and help build churches on your vacations?
DeleteSigh... I double dog dare you to go on a mission trip and call it a vaca with friends. Have several friends and family memebers who have been to Central America in the last year. It was hard work. Know some who have been further afield. One's prejudice is being exposed.
DeleteDoesn't look like they're working to me
DeleteAlright, enough with the "folks" and "gals" and "fellas."
ReplyDeleteIt's a southern thing, don't tell people how to talk
DeleteWe use those words in Los Angeles, too. Not sure why they are offensive to some, but that's their problem not mine.
DeleteY'all can expect people from the south to speak like it, can't you?
DeleteOh my! I have fellas, little fellas, girlies, hey you folks and y'alls where I live. Tis only regional colloquialisms.
DeleteYes, I always wear my sunglasses inside too. It makes it much easier to see everything.
ReplyDeleteEver been in a brightly lit, sunny indoor area? I wear mine. I've always had sensitive eyes. See how much Joseph is squinting? Mine would have been on.
DeleteWhat cute pictures! They are an adorable couple! Best wishes to them!
ReplyDelete"the gal who made Jinger's wedding cake." What a claim to fame, doesn't even need a name.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the girl doesn't want her named shared, or Ellie doesn't know what it is
DeleteThat's wonderful!!! What an amazing couple!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the headline I thought I was going to be reading about a wedding or honeymoon (stalking tonight to see if they're getting married this weekend) :). That's a great thing to get to do together! May they continue to be able to minister together after they get married.
ReplyDeleteWow that's nice ! Good idea to do it before you have children.
ReplyDeleteAre they back on the states ? Your message isn't clear
Well, now we know they are back in the states since they got married in Arkansas the same day this was posted.
DeleteWow People magazine should not be the first to announce Joe and Kendra's wedding. Maybe there getting paid more. Congrats to the beautiful couple.
ReplyDeleteWhy shouldn't they? That's normally how the Duggar's get the news out to fans.
DeleteWas Joe the only guy?
ReplyDeleteSuch a blessing to see them in this wonderful missions trip together before they are joined together as husdband and wife. It truly shows how they put God first before anything !!!
ReplyDeleteSo awesome that they had this opportunity
ReplyDeleteKendra is his fiancée. Fiancé is the man. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are correct but most use fiancé interchangeably.
DeleteWell, people also use loose for the word lose when they type, doesn't make it correct.
DeleteI just think this is so special. What a great thing to do. In the midst of planning your wedding, to stop and think of others and put them and the word of God first. How wonderful. Eileen
