Michelle Duggar and the older kids go for a bike ride
Wednesday was the 13-year anniversary of the Duggars' first reality TV appearance. On September 6th, 2004, the family was featured on the Discovery Health special "14 Children and Pregnant Again!" Can you believe it's been 13 years?

Where did time go?! Congratulations Duggars on 13 yrs., enjoy watching your show...Jane
ReplyDeleteI remember when I was first introduced to them I just loved them right away.I still do as a matter of fact. I can't believe it's been 13 years already! How time flies!
ReplyDeleteI remember dressing my girls like that.
Why would you dress your girls that way, Regina??
DeleteAw, this must bring back sweet memories for you, Regina. I remember the puffy sleeves, big collars, etc. back in the day.
DeleteAny hint for us as to why this particular post is posted? I mean, the whole Duggar clan show hasn't been on in about 2 years. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE for the WHOLE Duggar family show to come back to TV, is that something we may see in the near future?!!!!
ReplyDeleteAny hint as to why you have to question this particular post? It is so simple, if you don`t want to view it, don`t click the link.
Deletemy guess is it's posted because it's the "anniversary of when the duggars first special came out"! since most people had never heard of them before, this special was like an 'introduction' to them.....
DeleteI know what the original poster meant, 13th anniversary seems a bit random, usually you would mention 10th or 20th not 13th!
DeleteHow are you getting 37 Duggars? There's only 36, unless you count Grandma? (or unless you know something you haven't told us about Anna's delivery...)
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome congratulations Joe &Kendra and the duggar family.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
DeletePossibly cousin Amy?
DeleteJoy's baby
Delete37 is including in-laws and grandkids, including Joy's baby
DeleteBut it doesn't count Gramma Duggar. I always feel like she's forgotten.
Delete37 included gramma but not necessarily Joy and Austin's
DeleteHow did you come up with the number 37? Are you also counting inlaws and grandchildren?
ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't you count in laws and Grandchildren? Aren't they Duggan's too???
DeleteEven then, it doesn't come close to 37. Unless you are counting Dillards and Seewalds, etc...
DeleteYes cause there's only 19 kids so common sense tells us yes
Delete37 is counting in-laws and grandkids, including Joy's baby

Josh and Anna's new baby......she may have already had that precious baby boy
DeleteFor a culture that takes a lot of pride in family names, it's surprising to see then refer to Derick Dillard as a "Duggar", for example.
DeleteThe only problem I see is the male in-laws arent Duggars. I wonder what the Seewald, Vuolo and Dillard parents think about their sons now being Duggars?
DeleteAhhh! Bike riding in their Prairie Dresses... so normal. Lol! Exactly like everyone's childhood. Why didn't the parents allow the children to wear some normal clothes for a bike ride? Even a more subdued skirt would have been more appropriate than those fancy dresses, ruffle ankle socks, and good church shoes.
ReplyDeleteAhhh! Another person that knows what is best for everyone. Just what the world needs. How refreshing!
Deletemy thoughts exactly. It just looks so ridiculous
DeleteTheir clothes are beautiful!
DeleteAnonymous at 6:18,
DeleteYou make negative, cruel comments on practically every single post. I can see your information when I click your name, so I know that it's you and I can see your history. Why must you make fun of others so much? Are you unhappy in your life?
Anon @6:18 - Can we not all be nicer? Not just to the Duggars, but to one another as well? are you one of those "Christians" who are always on here preaching about being kind, but then slam another person because you don't practice what you preach? I don't think it was right of you to judge the above commenter in such a rude way. Surely you must see how odd it looks for someone to be riding bikes in their Sunday best? 98% of people ride bikes in appropriate attire...whether it be pants, skirt, or modest combo. Why do you feel the need to be so rude and sarcastic in your comment? I know everyone is always complaining about negative comments on here, and yours is the perfect example.
DeleteI rather wish they hadn't gone on TV in the first place. This was well after Josh's issues came to light. I think it would have been better for all of them if they'd stayed out of the spotlight.
ReplyDeleteAnon 3:00. I agree with you. Nothing good every came from letting the world into your private home. There are one disaster s after another that happened to reality families who do this. Can't let yourself love money this bad to cause all this scrutiny to happen to your family. That's why God tells us to live a quiet life and to be content with what you have. I live near the Amish and they are hard working God fearing people who we admire so much. They are a beautiful example to all of us of what Godliness with contentment really looks like.
DeleteI have to agree with you. I'm not sure being on tv was the best choice for any of them.
DeleteI don't know why they continue to be on TV, unless they love living under a microscope that much. And that idea alone violates all Christian principles they supposedly follow!
Delete1 Thessalonians 4:11
DeleteI come up with 36, not 37
ReplyDeleteIf you count all the people in the header including the empty box for Annas next, there are 37 people. If you count Joy's baby its actually 38...
DeleteI began watching your show while on bed rest with my first child. We are about to welcome #9!! And now I watch the show with my 2 daughters.
ReplyDeleteI rather wish you would let people live their own lives. Being on TV was their choice and there is an on/off switch on every TV. Being as it is their 13-year anniversary, looks like they are living their own life. Sorry you weren`t consulted, Haha, Not Sorry!
ReplyDeleteAnon @ 6:24 who is your post for? If it is in response to Anon @3:00 above then you should have replied there, makes the whole post easier to follow.
Deletei remember seeing the commercial, and being curious, couldn't wait to watch it! been watching ever since
ReplyDeleteWOW! I have been so encouraged by their family, by them trusting God with their lives through the good and bad times.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the little boy they adopted?
ReplyDeleteThey never adopted him. He was not up for adoption. They are legal guardians.
DeleteThey didn't adopt a little boy, they have temporary guardianship of Michelles great nephew while his mom gets her life sorted out.
DeleteHe is in their custody, that doesn't mean he's been adopted yet. They probably aren't aloud to share much info on him, and people constantly asking about him is disrespectful to the families privacy.
DeleteWow! That is crazy to think that it's been 13 years! And to think that just recently found out about them back in November 2013.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Lily and Ellie for being able to keep all of us updated with his AMAZING God-blessed family.
May God bless y'all!
I loved the honesty in those early episodes.
