New Photos of Henry

Last week, Henry Seewald hit his three-month milestone. I (Ellie) recently had the pleasure of meeting him and found him to be a well-tempered, expressive little guy. He sat contentedly in my arms for about 20 minutes while eight-year-old Jordyn Duggar entertained him. Watching both Henry and Spurgeon interact with devoted and attentive parents Jessa and Ben Seewald was also very sweet!

  5. When he smiles, he looks like Jessa (and Spurgeon!) and when he doesn't smile he looks like Ben. How funny! He's so cute!

    1. I know right!!! Sad that Lillie and Ellie had to mention all the sweet stuff about him ( i.e. Normal baby, expressive, loved, happy SMILING,etc) I'm sure some negative Nancy will find fault in such a beautiful innocent baby. Thier loss not to see the joy of a baby though

    1. What about women whose wombs can't bear fruit? How does that Lord explain that heartbreak to women (and men) who are devastated about being childless? I suppose they're bad people of some sort or did something wrong. Not that they might have some sort of medical or biological issue that may or may not be correctable.

    2. Children are a special gift from the Lord! And no, that verse doesn't mean that they are the only reward the Lord gives you, for those of you concerned about people without children. God gives blessings in many forms.

    3. Calm down, 9:15. Nowhere does the Bible say that children are the ONLY blessing, just that they are A blessing.

    4. 9:15 AM - We don't always understand God's plan for us. Not everyone women is met to have a baby but that doesn't mean you are being punished, it means God has a different plan for your life.

    5. What a sad thing to tell a woman, that she isn't "meant" to have a baby and that it's God's plan that she doesn't. I don't see how that would offer any comfort. I would never tell an infertile woman that! Or one that had a miscarriage. Think about how that idea would go over to a woman facing such heartbreak. It would be a heartless thing to say!

  18. I'm glad Jessa and Ben have made some better choices in the photos they have posted publicly of Henry. Glad to see he has a happy smile. Why she posted such somber photos earlier on is a mystery to me.

    1. Did you know that babies don't typically begin to have a social smile until two months? And that babies don't smile all the time? Does that clear up the mystery?
