ReplyDeleteCongratulations 😀😀
Can't wait to see your wedding!
I wonder where you chose to spend your honeymoon?
Somewhere amazing I bet
Congratulations Joy. Wishing you the best with your new life together. God bless you both
DeleteCongratulations Joy & Austin, so happy for you both. Can't wait to see your wedding...K
ReplyDeleteCongrats very happy for you but could you have waited one more day..May 27, my birthday..lol
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and best wishes!!! Always pray together at the beginning and end of each day.
ReplyDeleteCongrats To Them!!!! She reminds me of Jill in this video
ReplyDeleteIt's the hair. I wonder if Jill did it for her.
DeleteCongratulations <3
ReplyDeleteThe couple looks beautiful and blessed! It is like the presence of God is on Joy! I think a very good plan has happened for Joy and Austin!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations..May GOD bless you with an amazing marriage.
ReplyDeletejustin and joy congratulations on you both on this new trip of marrigage just enjoy each other grow together as 1 have an little fun before even starting up an family, there,s no need to rush on this just enjoy an couple yrs
DeleteShe looks gorgeous! But I had to laugh when they plugged the show - still I look forward to watching!
ReplyDeleteJoy looked beautiful a very naturally pretty bride, and I loved the tulips in her bouquet. I remember years ago someone (one of the older sisters?) saying we are not a TV family, I think when when you are making promotional clips for your families show on your wedding day you can no longer say that, they are very much a TV family.
DeleteI agree... I'm a bit sick of plugging the show at every opportunity.
DeleteI don't understand why courtship leading up to marriage was a burden? Positive Austin isn't a public speaker but his comments were so one sided and seemed lacking of the love you would have after taking vows.
DeleteI do hope they find much happiness in their future and Joy is blessed with a loving, caring and devoted husband. Her commitment is obviously there and Austin has been provided a wonderful gift in her.
I did find that a bit strange - was Joy required to promote the show in her comments? her choice?
DeleteWhat is the question that we would all like to know? When are they going to show the wedding? She just answered that question for those of us who want to know and want to watch.
DeleteJoseph and Kendra are engaged
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Joy Anna and Austin. Have a wonderful honeymoon and may you be blessed through your marriage, Eileen
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Joseph proposed at the reception....why can't he let his sister have her day? If that was my brother, that would have aggravated me.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sure being that Joseph is Joy-Anna's brother, he asked her and Austin's permission to do it there.
DeleteI hope he asked permission before proposing. If not, she can always announce her pregnancy at Joe's wedding reception.
DeleteThe article in People magazine said that Joseph did ask permission from Joy and Austin before asking Kendra. Get the facts first before negative comments. Congratulations to Joy and Austin and Joe and Kendra.
DeleteI read that they asked permission but I still agree they should have waited. Nothing like steeling someone elses thunder, I feel this is all just for publicity.
Delete11:53- It's very presumptuous to even consider this, as it places unnecessary pressure on the bride and groom. They'd likely feel uncomfortable saying 'no'.
DeleteHow can you be sure? Did you have a conversation with Joy? Please don't assume.
DeleteI still don't agree with the timing. That is Joy and Austins day. A different day should have been chosen so it could have been a special day for just Kendra and Joseph.
DeleteIt was also Mary's birthday
DeleteHow do you know it wasn't Austin or Joy's idea? I am sure there was a whole lot of discussion before it took place. Some people are not concerned about having the spotlight. They both seem a little quieter, so they may have been very happy to share the spotlight with Joe and Kendra.
DeleteI doubt any woman really wants to share her wedding day with anyone else, but besides that I feel really bad for Kendra. All of the Duggar girls have had really nice proposals where you could tell their guys put a lot of thought and effort into making the Day special and about them.. How tailor made could Joseph's proposal really have been piggy backing on Joys big day? These kids need to learn how to space this stuff out. There's 365 days in a year they don't need to all be announcing their stuff on the same day. Give each other their day in the sun.
DeleteAlso Kendra Caldwell and Joseph duggar are engaged. They got engaged at joys wedding
ReplyDeleteMy if God is love and whoever does not love has not seen God or known God for God is love, then Austin should be taking about his marriage as an opportunity to love, NOT just finally he is going to always be loved, what a relief and weight off.
ReplyDeleteWhat?
DeleteMarriage is a thousand things, including giving love and accepting love. In the few seconds he had to announce they are now married, he can talk about whatever he wants. He doesn't need a stranger to be his after-the-fact script writer and dictate what words he should say.
DeleteOf course he's relieved and unburdened. He can now kiss her!
DeleteThat struck me too, that it was all about what he was going to get. Hopefully that was just a wrong impression, and he's just as much about giving as getting.
DeleteI also am curious about why getting married is a relief and a burden or weight lifted. What is he referring to? Trying hard to postpone the physical aspect of their relationship? If so, then why mention it in a video, even if it is the first thing on your mind. Strange.
Deleteanon 27 may 6.19 If you put your message out for everyone to hear, I mean even people who are not interested than you invite comment. (and yes even if you are not particularly interested in the Duggar family you still might run across them )
DeleteI bet they know and I bet they deal!
Yeah, he said that he likes that now he has someone who supports and loves him forever... Like... on my wedding day I would like my husband to be happy to love and support me forever (and I him), not the opposite!
DeleteI would have liked to hear Austin talk about what he will do for Joy, not what she's going to do for him. I disagree with the premise that woman was created solely to meet a man's every need. God brought (presented) Eve to Adam, she was a gift with unique abilities and traits designed to compliment his. The New Testament instructs husbands to put her needs before his and for him to care for her tenderly-not use her to gratify his needs.
DeleteCongrats so happy hope the lord blesses
ReplyDeleteHE always does...❣💚❣
DeleteNo Anonymous, God does not always bless. He always loves, but He does not bless people when they are operating outside of His will. I'm not saying Joy and Austin are, I'm just correcting a misconception.
DeleteSounds like you are very confused. I think you may be the one with misinformation, promoting a misconception. If that's your belief that's more than fine,of course. It does come across very foolish however, to go about correcting others as if you have all the true knowledge on blessings. Why choose to follow a God who isn't much more evolved than a flawed human then, if that is indeed how God behaves? Why correct you then while pointing out that you've done the same you may ask? I did so purposely to show you exactly what was said was foolish. Sometimes God gives us material to mediate upon through very, strange sources. This is a suggestion to think further upon. If God rewarded or punished us for behavior on earth then it would be a far more fair and orderly place than it is. My apologies if I have come across as rude. I truly do not wish to. Just dispelling a myth.
DeleteCongratulations, May God Bless you. Welcome to "what I call" the best chapter of my life"
ReplyDeleteAustin always talks about himself or the lord but never something nice about Joy. Anyone else notice that? Every interview and he never looks happy
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Joy and Austin may your life be filled with happiness.
ReplyDeleteDo they real look happy to you? Looks like they are forcing a smile
ReplyDeleteHello there everyone hope you are having a nice evening wherever you are... First let me say CONGRATULATIONS Joy and Austin! May God direct your life together in his name all the days of your life! Also I have to say I am so happy to hear something fresh and new! It's exciting to hear about your wedding now instead of old news! So really enjoy your life together and DO NOT Listen to those who cannot understand love at a young age, I think as long as you both grow together in Gods love everything will work out just fine in life! It has for me and I'm 42. So sincerely Joy you and Jana are my favorites because you both seem like nice girls that I went to high school and college with! Take care and God Bless Your new life together!
ReplyDeletecongratulations to you both !
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Joy and Autin!....May the Lord Bless you with many Happy years together as Man and Wife ❤
ReplyDeleteSuch a relief to finally be married? It's not like they've spent ages waiting. They're pretty young yet, especially the bride. I was disheartened by the groom's comments about what SHE can do for HIM. I sincerely hope they know what they're doing and will be happy.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the happy couple! May the Lord guide yall and keep yall. Jim Bob and Michelle, time yo write another book. How to deal with empty nest syndrome. Your kids have grown up quickly and it would be interesting to hear your perspective and how y'all are dealing with this next phase of life. God Bless!
ReplyDeleteEmpty nest? They are a long way from that!
DeleteThey still have 15 to move out before feeling that syndrome
DeleteHeehee, their nest is hardly empty yet! Although at the rate things are going, it could be empty in ten years or so.
DeleteThey have a self-perpetuating family! Their nest will be bursting with grandbabies before they have a chance to "retire".
DeleteEven with the latest engagement, 13 children are still living at home, with the youngest being seven years old, I'd hardly call the Duggar's empty nesters. They're out of the baby/toddler/preschool parenting stage, but with numerous school-aged children, teens, and young adults, they will happily have a full nest for at least the next decade. 😊
DeleteCongratulations Austin and Joy Anna on your new life together as husband and wife. May God Bless you both with a wonderful life together and many blessings in the future. Have fun on your honeymoon together. Also, congratulations to Joseph and Kendra on their engagement!
ReplyDeleteNot thrilled to hear Austin describe getting married as have a burden and a weight lifted. As if being engaged to the love of your life is such an onus. Gee, Aus, what romantic things to say.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww😁 congratulations you two! Joy, you make a beautiful bride. I can see the live you have for each other and i wish you all of the happiness in the world!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the new couple! Question: What "burden", "lifted weight" is Austin talking about? I don't quite follow his meaning in that statement. Does he mean the "burden" of being single? Or??
ReplyDeleteI don't get that either, 12:55. Was he worried that Joy would change her mind and bolt back down the aisle? Now that would be an episode that would get big ratings.
DeleteYes I thought the same thing, his choice of words were a bit poor.
DeleteThis couple strike me as more quiet- not seeking attention- so a marriage ceremony in front of a crowd and television can a burden. They were probably happy to share the day with the brother's engagement to break up all the attention. Some people simply don't desire it. Congratulations on all your moments.
DeleteMaybe the burden and stress of wedding planning....
DeletePerhaps he means the burden of public scrutiny
DeleteThe Duggar Family and their friends definitely have a "lingo" that they all speak. Sometimes I follow. Sometimes, I am just not sure what they are getting at!
DeleteMaybe he was afraid Joy would change her mind at the last minute and not show up? It was an odd comment.
DeleteCongratulations to the happy couple I love you guys so much God bless you I'm looking forward to see what God has in store for you in the years to come of your marriage. I love you guys so much .
ReplyDeleteJoy Anna you are a beautiful bride!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJoygot engaged at jinger's wedding
ReplyDeleteJoy got married on her Grandmoms birthday.
ReplyDeleteHer dress looks a lot like Jinger's. I wonder if it was designed by the same woman.
ReplyDeleteAwkward message from the groom. What huge burden or weight has this young man had to carry around prior to getting married? Also, it would've been nice if he'd mention how he plans to give of himself to his new bride, not what he's anticipating she can do for him.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the new couple! Can't wait to see it on the up coming tlc show..
ReplyDeleteCongratulations joy and austin.....wishing yall the best...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your wedding. Wishing you a life of happiness and blessings. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteJoan,Marion and Marilyn
How come they don't share the wedding dates and other stuff with people anymore? It's very hollywoodish to keep the wedding day a secret and then sell exclusive interviews and wedding/baby photos in People magazine. It doesn't seem to go very well with their conservative values. Are they afraid of disturbance/ their safety? sorry for the bad English, not my native language... I wish all the best for the happy couple!
ReplyDeleteEllie, did you and your mom go to this wedding?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Austin and Joy! May you always remember to put God first in your marriage.
ReplyDeletei really like Joyanna because she has spirit! I hope that HER spirit will not be re-directed now that she is married.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you two!! God Bless this union!!
ReplyDeleteAwe...So happy for them...ahe grew up before our eyes...i wonder her hwr buddy Jill did hwr hair for her...ir kinda looks like the same style
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both. You seem to be a really sweet couple. May the Lord bless you with much love and JOY :) Poor Jim Bob hardly gets a chance to stop crying with all these weddings. I am so happy for you, you are a beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Joy and Austin, so happy for you both xx
ReplyDeleteJoy Anna looks incredibly happy! Congratulations to Joy and Austin. :)
ReplyDeleteRustic-chic isn't a thing. It's an oxymoron.
ReplyDeleteLol! So true! Guaranteed if its rustic it is not chic.
DeleteNot trying to harp on them but... I don't get why almost all duggar ladies (not Jinger) don't do something more with their hair on their wedding day... it so takes away from the wedding dresses by just leaving it down and blah can they not have it up for one day?!
ReplyDeleteYes! It's such a special day and the hair is just an everyday style.
DeleteI know many men who requested that their brides wear their hair long for the wedding. Why would a woman want to highlight the dress instead of bless her new husband?
DeleteI agree; there is no such thing as 'rustic-chic'.
ReplyDeleteThey look so awesome together, and she was a gorgeous bride. But where did they get married?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations - Joy is a mix of Jana, Jessa & Jill all rolled into one she's so lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat an odd thing to say about being married. He should be speaking of feeling blessed, or happy, but he says "huge burden off my shoulders". Something is not right with this picture.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Wishing them both a blessed future through out their marriage ❣️
