Quite a few rumors about the timing of Joy-Anna Duggar's upcoming wedding to Austin Forsyth have been circulating the internet, but we want to remind you all that no official word has been given. When the couple chooses to make their special date public, we will share it with you. And rest assured, there will be plenty of exciting wedding footage coming your way from TLC and the Duggars.
In the meantime, why doesn't everyone post their wedding guesses? When do you think Joy and Austin will tie the knot? Do you have any predictions about the style of the wedding?

I knew from the rumors that have been all over the internet weren't true, because like you said they haven't announce anything and it has to come from the Duggars or TLC or People Magazine, other then that I don't believe it. I think they will get married outside in June around the middle of June like the 17th. K

DeleteI think they will marry June 18th at the same church as Jim Bob and Michelle did. I think a barn wedding would be perfect fit for Joy Anna but feel she will want to follow her parents more than choose a location she would prefer. Honestly as much as I love watching the Duggars as they are growing, courting, marrying, and having children faster than ever I wish the show didn't have breaks. There is always something going on so the breaks effectively shorten a lot of the stories and details now trying to go sister to sister giving little updates.

ReplyDeleteNo, it's for the sake of fans not figuring out the time/date/location because of traffic with family and friends pulling in, and the crew. Keeping the date private has nothing to do with publicity and TLC programmings unless you know them personally and they told you they are doing it for that reason. But it's more likely and logical that they would do it this way.

ReplyDeleteUuummmm....pretty sure NO ONE thought they'd wait until the "original" date of October 28. Everyone knows the Duggars believe in getting married within three to four months of engagement, to encourage purity. The October 28th date was simply to throw off the tabloids and the people who are anti-Duggar. They were trying to avoid what happened with people finding out about Jinger's wedding and spoiling it. Now, that being said, when the actual wedding date will be is anyone's guess. But I think everyone knew they would never wait until October 28th!

DeleteCourting and an engagement are two different things. A Duggar may court for a long time BUT once they become engaged then the wedding is within a 2-3 time frame. I believe that is what the poster is trying to say. Reread it. Jill was engaged in April/May and married in June. Jessa was engaged in August and married in Novemeber. Jinger was engaged in July and married at the beginning of November. ( 3 1/2 months ) You do the math.

DeleteIf Austin and Joy will be working Forsyth's business, I think it'll be this weekend...simply because the ranch will be very busy all summer and into fall. Joy herself had said that the October wedding was not "official". Also, having the bachelor party months in advance would've been silly. I think they will be married in a church, not outside, but that the reception will be outdoors, perhaps at Austin's parents' ranch or on the Duggar compound.

ReplyDeleteTo be truly honest, this is the first Duggar wedding I'm not excited for. Ever since TLC rushed the Vuolo Wedding airing, the show's lost it's appeal for me. I mean, I still enjoy the family, but for personal reasons, I'm now neutral to watching S3 and S4 now.

ReplyDeleteIf my parents had permitted me to rush to the altar with the first boy my teenage hormones set their sight on, my life would have taken a real nose dive. All teenagers and young adults deal with raging hormones; premature marriage is not the answer.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I'm really disappointed in the Duggars. It's more important to them that their children are "pure" at marriage than whether their child is ready for marriage. Im sure 95% of people over age 30 would shudder at the thought of being married to their first boyfriend/girlfriend. Poor Joy won't even realize what she's lost until she's 30 with 8 kids and it's too late.
