"Jeremy loves trying new things, so he has definitely helped me get outside my box."
-Jinger Duggar Vuolo
Most of you have heard that Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo went Down Under for their honeymoon. In this extended Counting On scene that has not yet been seen by viewers, the newlyweds visit the historic Australian Heritage Hotel, which opened in 1824, for lunch. Their reactions to some of the local dishes are quite entertaining.
Have you been to the Australian Heritage Hotel?

couldn't open the video......sad
ReplyDeleteThe video is not working, please fix it so i can watch it too. i am in Australia and miss your show so much.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Australia, I tried a lot of the local meats; kangaroo, crocodile, emu, some local fish that I don't remember what it was called. The only thing I liked was the kangaroo. It's delicious!
ReplyDeleteThose meats aren't what you call local meats. Most Aussies rarely eat them
DeleteVegemite is certainly not considered a delicacy in Aus, its more of a pantry staple :P most people have half to a quarter of what they had on their toast! I've lived in Sydney my whole life and I would be just as surprised as they were to see crocodile or emu on a menu
ReplyDeleteI agree. You would never eat Vegemite the way tourists do and I have never seen emu or crocodile in a menu and iv been yo multiple states
DeleteRight now I believe them to be roumers but is Jinger expecting
ReplyDeleteAnon @ 9.43 there are very recent pictures of Jinger out on a trip with Jessa and gal pals in Waco Tx she is wearing skinny jeans and a little blue top and looks very slim and cute, def doesn't look pregnant. On the Duggars recent trip to Kentucky the rumors said she was pregnant and in her second trimester but these new photos would say otherwise. I hope she waits to start a family she is still young and should take time to enjoy the newness of being married and living in a new state first.
DeleteI believe everyone else is wondering the same thing, naturally, since they are newlyweds. It is my understanding that the family cannot devuldge certain information ahead of the TV show and neither can Ellie or Lily on this blog, until they get an OK to do so. So we won't know the answer yet.
DeleteLove that you posted that...it's definitely on my bucket list
ReplyDeleteLove them, they are so cute together! They seem like they have a great relationship and are not just husband and wife but also friends. He seems like a very nice guy!
ReplyDeleteI can not see this clip in sweden
ReplyDeleteYes, i used to work a five minute walk from here and used to go there for lunch with my work colleagues for special occasions. Their pizzas are amazing but i was never game enough to try the Crocodile or Kangaroo ones! It is a must visit if you come to Sydney and is in the Rocks area right near to where you enter the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb.
ReplyDeleteI tried the coat of arms pizza, which is Kangaroo and Emu. I'd never had either (for non Australian readers, kangaroo meat is becoming more common and you can get it in most supermarkets - emu and crocodile are still considered delicacies). Anyway the pizza was really good. The Emu had a slightly earthy taste, not at all gamey. The kangaroo wasn't as strongly flavoured as I thought it might be either.
DeleteAgain...NO VIDEO....
ReplyDeleteI'm Australian and ave eaten there a couple of times only. Their menu is unique. Very FEW places actually sell kangaroo, emu, and crocodile and kangaroo has be to cooked just right to be nice otherwise it is very 'gamey'. Crocodile is very yummy- tastes like chicken. Australian pizza's are not very nice I admit. Food is very expensive here compared to the USA, but I hope Jinger and Jeremy enjoed their time here.
ReplyDeleteDear non-US readers, please stop complaining that you cannot see the videos. TLC is responsible for restricting them. Videos eventually get posted to Youtube so we just have to be patient, there is nothing Ellie can do about it. Love, a German reader.
ReplyDeleteI've had vegimite before and I didn't like it either....their faces were hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLove them!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe secret with Vegemite on toast is to spread it thinly after spreading some butter first. It's delicious.
ReplyDeleteJust glad Jinger was able to experience some travel and new adventures with her hubby. I'm hoping that opportunity only gets better with time.
ReplyDeleteLove this couple ❤ no I have never left the states I'm Arkansan I can't afford to travel. But no way would I eat kangaroo
ReplyDeleteThe look on their faces!! Priceless ❤❤
You can probably look the video up on YouTube
ReplyDeleteAre we still seeing honeymoon footage?
ReplyDeleteRe: Jinger and Jeremy trying new cuisine....I'll bet a penny that Jeremy enjoys his good quality Italian PORK sausage with his pasta and meatballs, like any good Italian like myself. It's not Italian sausage if it's chicken or turkey. What will Jinger do on Sundays when he would like his mother and grandmother's "gravy and meat" with fusilli pasta con formaggio? No sin whatsoever for Christians to eat pork.
ReplyDeleteI have heard that vegemite is an acquired taste, and that it is yeasty..the off product of beer, when beer is made.Their faces were funny!
ReplyDeleteThey are such a cute couple!
ReplyDeleteOh, it just made my day to see this sweet couple making faces at the food.
ReplyDeleteFinally a Duggar who is a normal human. It is refreshing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the video!
