Counting On "All About Jinger"
- As the show opens, Jinger’s sisters are helping her pack to move to Laredo. It takes them quite a bit of time to divide up all their clothes and hair supplies. Jana and Joy selflessly give Jinger some of the best outfits.
- While she was on her way to Spurgeon’s birth in November 2015, Jinger ran over a deer. Her friends mounted the head as a joke, not thinking that Jinger would actually display it in her bedroom, but she did. And now she’s taking it to Laredo.
- Jana says she is going to miss shopping trips with Jinger, the fashionista of the family. Joy isn’t a big shopper, but she says she is going to miss having face-to-face chats with her sister.
- As most fans know, Jessa and Jinger are very close, as they are only 13 months apart in age. They both admit they have shed many tears as they think about life without each other.
- Jinger also has a strong friendship with her brothers, especially Joseph. "I think the thing we will miss the most about having Jinger at home is her personality," says Jason. "She just loves spending time with us siblings," adds Joseph.
- Johannah accompanies Jinger to the airport to pick up Jeremy.
- As a wedding present, Jinger’s brothers have purchased her a used car from an auto auction. It is a small, white SUV that is both economical and safe. Jinger and Jeremy are thrilled when the boys give them the car.
- The next morning, Jeremy, Jinger, and Jedidiah leave for Laredo at 5am. Jim Bob and Michelle see them off.
- When they cross into Texas, they stop at a store to buy Jinger some cowboy boots. “My goal is to get something that is not super cowboy style,” says Jinger, admitting she wants more of a city look. She ends up buying a pair of urban boots with a slight cowboy flair.
I'm so happy for Jinger and Jeremy they Re a beautiful, loving Christian couple that other young adults can look up to! Love your show!
ReplyDeleteI just love Jinger! I believe she and Jeremy will make a beautiful couple.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful updates. For some of us that don't always have the availability to watch firsthand, it's nice to be kept in the loop.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed seeing all the flashbacks of Jinger growing up. The Duggars are such a precious family. Their love for each is evident.
ReplyDeleteThis show has gotten so bad that even Jinger is yawning now. (She did, on camera, in an interview.)
ReplyDeleteYou don't like the show, your still watching it, is there something wrong with you?
DeleteA roadkill deer head hanging above the guest room bed. Charming. Classy.
ReplyDeleteI thought that was disgusting! Can't imagine having guests sleep under that thing on the wall. Are you even allowed to take a deer you run over, or is that like hunting without a license? Don't they need to be tagged or something?
DeleteIt all depends on the state laws and time of year the animal is struck. I'm not familiar with Arkansas wildlife and hunting laws, but it is not uncommon for police to release a roadkill animal to you if they know it was an actual accident. Some states have a roadkill hotline wait-list that calls locals to come pick up the animal for processing.
DeleteI'm guessing the first commenter was ironic. :)
DeleteYes, you can take it if you call the cops and they come to the scene. I'm not sure if you have to pay for a tag or not...
DeleteAs a Texan I'd like to welcome Jinger and Jeremy to Texas, but they did walk out of that store with the least Texas things in that store. None the less, the Lone Star state welcomes you. I think they ought to get the traditional bumper sticker for non native Texans: "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could."
ReplyDeleteI laughed pretty hard about the story for the mounted deer. I figured it was Jeremy's, but mounting a deer you hit with a car is hilarious.
PS: I don't care if yall don't like killing animals, go join PETA. I hunt for food, shoot to kill (guns only, no bows), and thank the Lord for every animal I take.
God bless yall
I hope the people you want to vote for you someday don't read your comment. There's nothing "hilarious" about hitting a deer with a car. It's a wonder she didn't crash and hurt herself, too.
DeleteSo sorry to hear there is no meat in the Texas supermarkets, and you have to go out and kill your own. :(
DeleteDon't be so dramatic, taking things out of context is a very bad habit to have. As you well know, documented by the comment above, I said mounting a deer that was hit by a car is funny. The practice of mounting a deer is normally reserved for trophy deer shot during season, not a deer that jumped in front of your vehicle. Of course its tragic that she could have been hurt, but that's not what I'm finding funny. You of course know this already, but for some reason you want to be offended.
DeleteAs always, have a good day and God bless.

Oh my gosh, I had a deer hit my car. No lie...It was really dark and I stopped because I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. One ran in front of the car (doe) and a few seconds later I heard a crash. I couldn't see anything but I knew a doe hit me. Lol and behold there was a nice dent on my side door. I felt so bad!
DeleteThey said mounting a deer you hit was hilarious not hitting the deer its self. Friends of hers thought it would be funny to mount it for her as a joke. They also didn't think she would hang it up. It was a joke!
DeleteThere is nothing funny about this. Shows how utterly unfeeling they are toward the loss of life inflicted by Jinger
DeleteNo way could I take a body part of an innocent animal and put it on the wall as a joke. Not funny at all!!!! Their disregard for animals on this show has troubled me for a long time. It's not hard to see where animals rank with the Duggars. They're either in the way, shooed out of the house, or a target.
DeleteJessa and Jinger are upset thinking about life without each other? Does one of them have a terminal illness you haven't shared?
ReplyDeleteA wasted episode. Too much recap and old footage. We already was an episode about Jinger just a couple of weeks ago. Jinger is going to give herself a serious case of crows feet by the time she is 25 years old with those weird eye expressions. She needs to cut that out.
ReplyDeleteI can't even believe this comment. Her expressions are priceless. They are part of her unique charm. Keep smiling with those beautiful eyes Jinger!!
DeleteI found it completely unnecessary for Jeremy to fly up to NW Arkansas only so HE could drive back with Jinger and a brother. Why didn't Jinger and her brother or brothers simply drive themselves down to Laredo with Jeremy back there waiting for them? No reason for him to have gone up there. Jill looked terribly sad and something awful is bothering her.
ReplyDeletePlus Jinger said that it had been a whole week since she had seen Jeremy. Wonder how he can tend his congregation.
DeleteI have to say, I enjoyed this episode. The flashbacks weren't as many as I was expecting (that's a good thing!), although I could have done without the relationship recap at the end. That's something we have seen over and over. I'm looking forward to next week's expanded wedding episode! It was nice that they didn't make us wait til now to see the wedding for the first time, like they did with Jill and Jessa's weddings.
ReplyDeleteThat was no "small" SUV. And I now question these boys' mechanical skills and training, if none of them remembered to reset the sensor that later gave the oil warning. There were what, 5 of them in the pit? And the pastor mechanic friend? And a film crew?
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the pastor who has an eligible daughter who's been filmed at Duggar functions lately?
DeleteMidnight arrival in Laredo minus 17 hours (as stated on the show) does not equal 5am departure. That equals 7am. A more likely hour for Ma & Pa to be up and dressed and seeing them off. Oh that Duggar Time!
ReplyDeleteYou're right. It took 2 hours to leave? Another hair crisis?
DeleteI wondered how the other people in that apartment complex felt about people unloading at midnight, with a film crew and bright lights. Most places have noise ordinances that kick in by 10-11pm.
DeleteSome apts. have very restrictive move-in days and times, too.
DeleteI don't comprehend how these continual recaps of Jinger's Wedding are benefitting the show.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to comprehend. I really enjoy them.
DeleteI didn't really understand how the boots look Texas, but I guess they do? In California, our state shoe is the flip flop.
ReplyDeleteYou are a true Californian! You did not use the word/name Cali. I. Can't. Stand. It. when people say Cali. It sounds like Kelly. And it's not where I live. I live in California! 🙂
DeleteWere those used boots? The soles looked scuffed.
ReplyDeleteThe show was really great last night. Jeremy and Jinger are such a cute couple. To the haters out there with your negative comments....stop watching television show if you do not like it and have nothing nice to say.
ReplyDeleteThat's going to have the same effect as my telling you to start watching Marriage Boot Camp. After all, it has cousin Amy on it, so you'll love it.
DeleteJinger didn't buy cowboy boots and Jeremy didn't buy a cowboy hat. Don't they know the difference?
ReplyDeleteThey must hit a lot of deer around there. There were two more deer heads hanging in Ben's room when he moved in while courting Jessa. I guess they keep killing deer accidentally with their cars. Jinger made sure to explain on camera that hers was merely an accident, and that it wasn't her idea to stuff the head. So this must happen a lot, if there are two more "joke" heads displayed around the house.
ReplyDeleteI think the car that the boys picked was very nice for Jinger and Jeremy. I never seen an SUV like that before. I was wondering what make and model of the small SUV could be??
