Adorable Photo of Baby Seewald

Baby Seewald is one day old, but his parents have not yet decided on a name. It took Jessa and Ben Seewald five days to settle on Spurgeon Elliot Seewald for their first son.

What name suggestions do you have, now that you have seen the baby (photo below)? Also, do you think he looks like his older brother? (Scroll down for a picture of newborn Spurgeon.)

  1. I think Nolan is an adorable name. I don't see much similarities between the two just yet, but he's only 1 day old so... :D

  2. I think he looks more like Jessa. If you are settling with a S name thing, you could go with:
    Samuel
    Spencer
    Stanley
    Sam
    Steve
    Sean
    Scott
    Steven
    Seth
    Sebastian

  4. Did Derick paint Jessa's toenails for this picture, the way he always painted Jill's when she couldn't reach her toes while pregnant?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Jessa isn't married to Derick. Read the post. Ben and jessa seewald.

    2. Why would Derick paint his sister in laws toes?

  5. Have they thought of the name Matthew? It is an adorable classic! And maybe a middle name that starts with J to honor her family. So happy for them!!! May God bless that sweet baby!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Agree that Matthew's a great, classic, masculine name -- but maybe too traditional for them. They like to really get way out there with names.

      Delete
    2. M names are probably off limits. Josh and Anna might use that someday. Max is also cute, but again the M jurisdiction belongs to Josh and Anna.

  6. Call him Smith, for Smith Wigglesworth.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They would probably go with Wigglesworth over Smith, since they named their firstborn Spurgeon

  7. Both are absolutely beautiful and precious and yes I think they favor one another! Although it looks like Baby Seewald 2 has lighter hair. Congratulations to you all!!! Can't wait to find out his name.

  94. Congratulations to you 3. He is so adorable but he looks so big. He looks like a month baby. I think he looks more like himself. Don't really see much of any of them. Blondie! Okay let's get away from the same first letter. I think you need to pick a good strong name like you did for Spurgeon. I really love a strong name like William (Billy) Graham. He is such a great man. William Benjamin. Give him a name he will proud of. Again Congratulations.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I am so honored that he shares the same birthday as me. Made my day brighter for sure. Any name you pick will be great. I like Zane

    ReplyDelete
  96. His hair is lighter and his head is more round than his big brother but that could be due to Spurgeon being in birthing canal to long..I do think his lips looks like big brothers. I like the name.....Salomon....what ever they name him will be fine....I have looked for days to see if he had arrived. Congratulations....can't wait to hear details.

    ReplyDelete

  98. Beautiful boy. Some similarities. Solomon is a good name

    ReplyDelete
  99. Hmmm... I was really thinking it could have been a girl this time! He is adorable and there is a resemblance :). How about Robert James Seewald?

    ReplyDelete
  100. I am wondering if they are anti-girl because it just so coincidental that they all have boys but no girls. Taken that they were so called victims of abuse, they don't want to handle the outcomes if their kid is hurt in a way? These girls need mental help because if they don't it will catch up to them and they won't be mentally healthy. I've seen someone who didn't get help for their abuse and they turned mental. Why isn't anybody concerned about their health? Having kids is not going to curb their past and make them move on because being in denial will have huge consequences. If they choose to put it aside then I hope they seek counseling in the near future.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. First of all you should probably read a book on reproduction. You really are confused about how having a boy or a girl is determined. Second I don't think we need to rehash all this again, but at the time everyone was concerned about the girls' health.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Silas Ezra and or Samuel Ryan. He's absoulety adorable can't wait to see what name they choose.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Loving the suggestions of Gideon, Solomon, Samson, & Calvin! Along that vein, Tyndale, maybe? I wouldn't normally suggest it, but I feel like it does fit with dear little Spurgeon's name. Or they could go with a "bridge" name of sorts that bridges the style of Spurgeon's name and maybe a little more "traditional" names. Calvin could definitely do that. It's not an unheard of given name, and it still ties in with the "Heroes of Faith" theme I remember them talking about when Spurgeon was born.

I also think choices Hiram, Rockwell, Ezra, Declan, Owen, Oliver, Griffith, Hawthorn(e), Aaron, Fletcher, Malachi, Joachim, Ruben, Wesley (ooh, another one that fits "Heroes of the Faith" theme!), Simeon, Tobias, and Callahan would all be very striking names for this little guy! :) (Can you tell I like discussing names? Ha!)

Very excited to see what Ben and Jessa decide!!

    ReplyDelete
  107. Samuel or Noah!
He looks like he has more blonde hair then Spurgeon did :o
