What did you think of last night's episode? For those who missed it or want to relive the moment when Jinger Duggar found her wedding dress, check out the video below.
Accompanied by mom Michelle Duggar, sisters Jana, Jill, Jessa, and Joy, and future mother-in-law Diana Vuolo, Jinger tried on three prototype dresses designed by Renee Miller. The first one was basic, but she liked the idea of it. The second one was very lacy, and she like it even more. When Jinger tried on the third gown, she fell in love with it. In Jingers' case Jessa really dives in and offers a special friendship. I think that is a good example of what Jesus wants from us. I think Jesus wants us to be friendly sort of like that.
ReplyDeleteAwww!! How sweet! Jinger looks absolutely stunning! I love the dress!!
ReplyDeleteWill we ever be able to stop talking about Jingers dress??
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't think so! :)
DeleteI thought it was really interesting to finally see the process we've been reading about!
DeleteI know!! There was literally nothing else. Got it! Jinger has 3 custom made dresses. It's called "The Jinger" My goodness...ENOUGH!!!!
DeleteYou don't have to be here if you don't like it.
DeleteI sure hope so. It has been over 2 months since their wedding.
DeleteVery good question, i'm beyond smothered with the subject too.
DeleteGuys, if you're really tired of all this "fuss" than don't get on the site anymore. Come on people, let's just enjoy and share in Jinger's hapiness
DeleteIt was pretty obvious that they only had the other two gowns there to try on for drama and suspense. She was really getting the third gown and she knew it. Didn't Jill say something like, "That's the picture you showed me" or something like that? Kind of gave it away.
ReplyDeleteMost everyday brides do that though. I "knew" which dress I wanted, but tried on 8 other gowns to be sure.
DeleteI'm not sure but I thought she was referring to pictures of dresses jinger liked that she sent to Renee to show her different things she liked and Jill was saying that the train was like one of the dresses she liked...I could be wrong though...
DeleteJeremy mother was so gracious throughout the process and I'm glad his father provided some sound advice to the guy's.
ReplyDeleteI'm also glad Jinger stuck to her convictions about the dress and it was nice to see Michelle and Jana were respectful and supportive.
It would have been nice to have seen it all before last season so we could watch current events.
Did Jeremy's mother even say two words? All I saw was her snapping pictures with her phone.
DeleteYes, Mrs. Vuolo is gracious and it's been nice to get to know Jeremy's parents. Mrs. Vuolo plays the violin - very cool. That may be how Jeremy learned his appreciation for music. I noticed in the wedding they had awesome violinists and other musicians performing. Mr. Vuolo seems like a kind man and I think he handled officiating his son's wedding very well.
DeleteAgree, Imu. The Vuolos seem like a couple with class.
DeleteNever in my life have I seen so much hubbub over a dress. I just don't get it.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it, either. But to each his own, I guess.
DeleteSo fun to watch this episode!
ReplyDeleteDerrick when they asked him about Jill's dress... I remember it was white 😅 Such a "guy answer"
ReplyDelete😂
DeleteAnd I'm sure if they showed it in order then people would be complaining that they showed the wedding too late.
ReplyDeleteThe dressmaker was overly nice.
ReplyDeleteIt made me a little uncomfortable.
So sweet tho', but you do have a point. Sometimes cameras around, makes it difficult to be yourself.
DeleteWhat an interesting storyline - a young Duggar woman planning the wedding of her dreams. The dresses, the desserts, the invitations! So much substance!
ReplyDeleteThat is the funniest comment ever! I can't stop 😂 laughing. Thank for the laugh Anonymous at 3:50 pm!
DeleteThe dessert choosing and the invitations will come later! Don't spoil the suspense for us!
DeleteJinger's face said it all! Yes, to the dress!
ReplyDeleteThat dress designer was pretty wound up last night. More excited than anyone. It was one of those appointments that could have used some wine or champagne.
ReplyDeleteI thought so,too. I'm sure it was a big moment for her. It made me glad the Duggar women were low key. A room full of drama would have been too much for me.It was a very cute show, way above average for me. Those babies were so adorable.
DeleteThose babies were so hot and sweaty...
DeleteBeautiful dress.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing the dress designer, Miss Renae. Seeing how animated and dramatic she was on the show made me understand better the blog questions she answered. I thought her answers were a little "far out" but now I see that is just who she is. As if the dress didn't define her enough. I bet she is swamped with work now.
ReplyDeleteI really loved the long train!
ReplyDeleteAAHH!! Jinger is sooo naturally gorgeous!!! I will never get tired of her dress. I also loved Jessa's too.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else get the feeling that the dresses were all the same (commercial) base, and that the laces and the trains were added or subtracted for trying on purposes? It looked like all three dresses started out as the same basic silhouette, possibly not made by the dressmaker. The only designing part of "The Jinger" looked like how big the train was or which lace got sewn on where. In fact, I thought the first dress she tried on was the one she wore at the wedding, that's how similar they all were. I wondered how someone could start from scratch, sewing three dresses for someone they'd never met in such a short time frame. Now I think it was a purchased dress underneath with things added on top, hence the need only for "sizing," not measuring. Sure wish this had been clarified in all the posts you've had about the dress.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good question, and we have the answer. :) Renee told us that all the dresses she sells are her own design.
DeleteLily and Ellie
I think I remember her saying that the first one was the "base model" based on what jinger wanted and that she could add things to it based on what she wanted...and then she added things to the dresses based on what she thought jinger would want by the phone conversations they had...
DeleteMaybe they are hers but she already has a few model dresses ready to work on. I wouldn't find it strange for a designer to always have a few dresses on disposal just to be creative and work on new ideas.
DeleteThe episode is one tlc go app for free if anyone is interested :)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how much does this dress cost?
ReplyDeleteWhat fabric was used on the dress?
