Duggars Ring in 2017

Happy 2017! How did you celebrate? As they do every year, the Duggars invited a bunch of family and friends over for a big New Year's Eve party. They have an annual tradition of kicking off the new year by lifting up each other, the United States, and the world in prayer. Who do you recognize in the pictures below?

We are working on a big New Year's post that we will share with y'all soon.

  1. Well, in the first picture I can see Austin, as well as Derick and Jill; Jessa and Derek in the second; the whole family in the third; and finally, Michelle and Joy in the fourth.
    Happy New Year, Duggar Family!

  2. I see Derick and Jill making out on the couch, Josie running around and then on an ottoman, the Hortouno's(sp?) and Anna watching alone.
I think I spotted a Christmas tree in the corner; I thought I read Jimbob believed trees were pagan???

    1. Not sure about the pagan thing. They went Christmas tree shopping on "14 Children and Pregnant Again."

    2. That's not 7 year old Josie on the ottoman, that is a toddler; probably Meredith, who is very blond also.

    3. Not making out. Cuddling and talking. Nice to see a young merried couple showing love for one another.

    4. Wow, that's what you consider "making out"?

    5. Interesting that they can barely touch each other before marriage but once married, they are always touching/kissing for the camera. Most couples, even happy couples, aren't constantly touching & kissing in public.

    6. If that's your idea of making out there is something wrong with you.

  3. God bless the whole wonderful Duggar family with His strength, power and grace as you face this new year. I still miss seeing the whole family and always will!
    Love and prayers,

    1. I think it's Anna...? Jill is on the couch with a yellow shirt on.

    2. Looks more like Anna.

    3. That can't be Jill because the expert above claims that person isn't pregnant. And Jill is pregnant.

    4. Jill is wearing a black skirt. That's not Jill.

  5. Well New Year's Eve is my birthday so we just had a nice quiet time at home. Watched a couple of old movies and brought in the New Year with sparklers. We were glad to be able to have sparklers in AZ. They are not allowed in Santa Barbara where we used to live.

  8. I think everyone looks quite bored standing around. No music, no dancing, no real good food, what's to do? Prayer is good, but what else is there for them? The kids should have been in bed.

    1. But they had Styrofoam plates! Blessings for more Styro in 2017.

    2. Music and dancing are not the only way to have fun. To me everyone looks like they are enjoying each other's company. And while normally I would agree with putting the kids to bed on time, letting them stay up late on New Years Eve is not a problem.

    3. Food is probably in the dining/kitchen area, not pictured.

    4. Looks like they moved the twin donated pianos front and center for this "party."

    5. Agree!!! Standing around: "fellowshipping" πŸ˜‰πŸ™„

  11. Almost blew one of my goals I set for this year by responding in an ungodly manner to a comment. I will hold my tongue. I really hope to be nicer to those who post mean comments. I will say it is refreshing to see Christians bringing in the New Year with prayer, singing and godly fellowship. This world sure does need prayer!

  12. It looks like a baby alone on the soffa?

    1. But Jill and Derick are right there! If they can get their arms disentangled from each other, they might be able to catch her if she rolls.

    2. It's not a baby. It's a small child lying on a big, cushy ottoman.
