The Duggars return to reality TV in just two days! Tune in to TLC at 9pm ET/8pm CT on Monday, January 16th, for the first episode in the new season of Counting On. Check out this press release from the network:
With less than three months until Jinger and Jeremy’s wedding and more than 1,000 guests coming to celebrate, the planning could not be done without Duggar-style teamwork. This exciting season follows the journey from the altar to the Vuolos' honeymoon Down Under in a special two-hour wedding event.
Viewers get an inside look into custom wedding dress shopping, venue preparation, and a bachelorette party only the Counting On sisters could plan. But as wedding bells begin to ring, the realization that Jinger is moving far away from home to start her new life with Jeremy leaves the family with bittersweet feelings.
While all eyes are on the wedding, Jessa and Ben prepare to welcome the newest member of the Seewald family to the world. The idea of expanding their little clan is exciting to the young couple, especially after experiencing the joys of raising one-year-old Spurgeon.
As Jessa and Ben prepare for this next journey, Jill and Derick reveal a little surprise of their own. To top it all off, Joy has entered a courtship with long-time friend Austin and enjoys the perks of an official relationship, including chaperoned dates and side hugs.

Interesting that Jana is front-and-center. I appreciate Jana and hope we see more of her.
ReplyDeletewhy is there going to be a 2 hour wedding event if we have already seen video of the wedding?? Move on already.
ReplyDeleteLove this show, all the Women on the show are Beautiful
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the New Season to air but curious about 1 thing, why is it that Ben's Family are never in any of the many Pics and Video's. Just seem's that ever since the Josh problem they have been out of sight out of mind.
ReplyDeleteIm guessing it is because the Bates have their own show... Different contracts
DeleteAnonymous 6:35 was asking about Ben's family. Not the Bates. I too wonder why they aren't shown anymore.
DeleteI am very happy for the family.
ReplyDeletei love this show and can't wait for it to start
ReplyDeleteI have bitter-sweet emotions about this.
ReplyDeleteBitter: The whole Joystyn courtship "fiasco".
Sweet: My favorite Family will be back on the air again in just 2 days!
Super James you sound like you could benefit from professional counseling!
DeleteWhat fiasco?
DeleteAwww, why would you refer to sweet Joy's and Austin's courtship with such a word as "fiasco"??? :(
DeleteStop putting names together!!!! It's JoyAnna and Austin. 2 people 2 names.
DeleteNothing makes me more irritated than when someone refers to two people with a ship name. ESPECIALLY when those two people aren't fictional! Joy and Austin are real people, living in this real world, trying to live their own lives. They're not something to fantasize about and set up. Their lives, the things they hold dear, especially love, are none of our business.
DeleteLet's just say I don't want Joystin's courtship to end up like Josiarjorie's.
DeleteSuperJames why is it a fiasco? Are you still pining for Joy? Please get some help. Your obsession is bordering on being creepy. I would be terrified if I were Joy's mother.
DeleteTBH, if I ever met Michelle; I'd first apologize if my behavior did offend her, then I'd explain that I'm neither pinning nor obsessed with just Joy. It's that it's my dream to one day meet this Godly-gifted family that has helped me out during my troubling teenage life. Without them, I'd be much worse than I am now.
DeleteHopefully the word "surreal" won't be used to death
ReplyDeleteHaha! Agreed!
DeleteLooking so forward to watching the continuing story of your precious families. Julie from Oregon
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see some of the duggars - again i will never understand why the entire family is not featured on the show. jim bob, michelle, grandma, the young kids, and josh are missed and wanted by all the fans i have heard from. wish tlc would re-think their decision to banish a major part of this wonderful family. WE WANT ALL THE DUGGARS ON THE SHOW!
ReplyDeleteMost contracts have a morals clause. Violate that, and your contract ends along with your employment.
DeleteI'm glad the younger children are shielded by people viewing the show. They deserve a simple life with some since of normal development.
DeleteI always felt bad for the older ones lined up and under our scrutiny.
TLC has a clause in their contracts and morality and not expressing personal views to attacking others personal beliefs are two of them.
When you are being paid to represent them you follow their rules. The parents and Josh didn't. It's just business.
Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait! !! So excited for the new season!
ReplyDeleteI can't see te show on dutch TLC
ReplyDelete😢😢😢😢😢
Hey Lily and Ellie, I had asked but I don't know if it went through or if Jill just doesn't want it known yet, but I thought I'd ask again; hope I'm not a bother :) do you know how many weeks pregnant Jill is and/or her due date? She just says she's due in July- I know with my pregnancies I was always so specific when I told people how far along I was lol... I was really excited when I found out she is having another little one!!! :))))
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer,
DeleteJill hasn't announced her specific due date (it's in July), but we will post it to our blog when she does. :)
Lily and Ellie
Thank you! :)
DeleteWhy does Jessa always pose with her hand on her belly when she's pregnant?
ReplyDeleteIt's something some pregnant women do, and I did it too.
DeleteI never did it. Your body is fully capable of holding up the baby, no need to do it yourself except to highlight your pregnancy.
DeleteAfter reading this if I was Jessa I would put my hand on my pregnant belly each time a picture is taken. Jessa is a grown woman she can do what she wants. What jealousy!
DeleteJessa should just get an arrow sign and stick it on. Yes, we know she's pregnant. She doesn't have to point it out all the time. If your abdomen requires your holding it up, get a maternity brace.
ReplyDeleteYou do what the photographer tells you to do. If he or she says put your hand on your pregnant belly then that's what you do.
DeleteThe matternity brace remark made me giggle! but I feel so much for Michaela Bates. It must be hard for her in a world that glorifies the pregnant to such an extend it seems proudful.
DeleteI think her right hand has permanently stuck there. Have we seen a pregnancy picture without it?
DeleteI'm sure she does what the photographer tells her to do. But, without countless pregnancies and babies, there would be no Duggar show. It seems to me that they practically worship pregnancy. Kind of sad. I know pregnancy is a very special time in a woman's life and children are a blessing, no doubt. But, we are not intended to "worship" it/them. I would feel super bad for any Duggar daughter that found themselves to be infertile. Can't imagine the trauma of that?
DeleteThe only thing that has given the Duggars a show in the first place is their ability to be "fruitful and multiply" and their willingness to put their lives on display for the public. There is nothing else super special about them, in my opinion. There are many other families that live like they do and don't get a TV show.
I agree with Anon @9:48pm. You are at the mercy of the photographer. I guess they take a bunch of photos and the producers choose which one they will use for their promo. Personally I like that photo of the sisters. They are all very beautiful young ladies.
DeleteJessa doesn't have a professional photographer following her around. All her photos when she's pregnant have shown her holding her belly. It's like "Look at this, I'm pregnant right here!" Ok, but enough already with the pictures and the selfies and the arched back.
DeleteThe TLC photographer probably posed Jessa for that picture. Anndd since Jessa being pregnant IS a big part of the upcoming season AND this IS a promotional picture for that upcoming season.... it just makes sense that they would pose her this way. :D
DeleteI agree with 10:17. That's why accomplishments should he measured in college degrees, not number of children.
DeleteFrom my perspective ... accomplishments should not be measured in terms of college degrees. None of that matters to our Lord -- not the college degrees, not the number of children, not the bank account, not where you live or the clothes you wear or if you show your knees or cover your knees, none of that -- and what matters to Him is what should matter to us -- our relationship with Him and how we are serving Him and advancing His kingdom.
DeleteI wonder if any new business ventures will be established. More shared for John David and Jana future. Will anyone move out?
ReplyDeleteA lot of old news to start season and most already provided by magazine articles.
If they back fill with more flash backs leading up to the delivery I feel the market will be lost and ratings will continue to drop.
Wishing them the best for healthy births and strong marriages.
Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteYes, Jessa is pregnant, but I don't see why she has to hold her stomach in every picture?
ReplyDeleteI know, right? It's annoying.
DeleteSo excited for every bit of news and footage! It never gets old and I love this family! I enjoy watching it with our 6 kiddos and would to meet them someday. They are so wonderful to share a little bit of their lives with us ♡
ReplyDeleteTLC needs to get them a stylist for these promo shoots.
