Here's a lighthearted photo of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar that we hope will bring a smile to your face. They are posing with a Big Hunk® candy bar.
Have you ever tried a Big Hunk®? If you haven't, that's okay. We haven't either. First created in the 1950s, the Big Hunk® is a chewy, white nougat bar filled with peanuts. Sounds delicious, doesn't it?

"White nougat" does not sound appealing to me, ewww. But both Jim Bob and Michelle look wonderfully young and Jim Bob looks very fit, good for him! I miss hearing updates about all the family!
ReplyDeleteI agree completely. I want them back on the air. I fell in love with the closeness of their family and I miss seeing them and the small kids. It isn't fair to punish an entire family. Also I don't agree with anything Josh did but look at all the high profile celebs, politicians, and more have done. They aren't looked as down upon as this poor family has been.
DeleteEver eat a Snickers bar? Then you ate nougat.
DeleteI love how close they are after decades of being together.
ReplyDeleteJim Bob can be so silly sometimes, lol! He and Michelle are cute together..... Love It....
ReplyDeleteBig Hunks were my favorite in high school. I would stop by the student store before a class a get one. They were so yummy! Oh and my husband is still my Big Hunk😊
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that I haven't noticed those candy bars here in Arizona. I will have to look and I will say it's sweet for us old wives to still think of our husbands after years of marriage as handsome hunks. Probably none of the women nowadays call their guys that anymore since it might be just a bit outdated.
ReplyDeleteFunny
ReplyDeleteNot with my anaplastic reaction to peanuts lol.
Those are not sold in my area.
Anaplastic? Do you mean anaphylactic?
DeleteYes thanks spell check.. that doesn't look like a word. lol
DeleteIt is pretty yummy but I haven't seen one in ages!
ReplyDeleteThey are at Cracker Barrel--home of a vast assortment of interesting candy and kids' clothing in the general store section.
ReplyDeleteAdorable picture, but the candy bar sounds like a cavity waiting to happen! Lol.
ReplyDeleteFun picture!! Nice to see the playful side of Michelle and Jim Bob. 😀
ReplyDeletelove this couple!! bet jim bob ate that candy bar! he so loves to eat! reminds me of my sweet hubby who also loves snacks.
ReplyDeleteFor my point of view they are extremely severe with their kids. But they seem loving people with a nice sense of humour.nice pic!
ReplyDeleteWhen are the Dillard's headed back to Central America? There's no updates on thier ministry page except a huge donate button. I'm assuming that means they are making plans to travel? I hope they stay safe!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why they feel the need to pick things up in stores and put them on for a laugh or pose with them for a picture. If you owned those stores, would you want customers handling merchandise they have no intention of buying? I was taught from childhood that things in stores don't belong to you, so you don't touch them. I was asked to hold onto my thumbs while Mom was shopping, so my hands be busy and couldn't be touching things on the shelves. I think the Duggars could have used a few lessons from my mother, too.
ReplyDeletePeople have to touch stuff all the time in stores. You take clothes in to the changeroom to try on. And if it doesn't fit or suit you, you don't buy it. I've picked up a candy bar too, but then changed my mind and put it back.
DeleteWow! How do you know they didn't buy it?
DeleteHow do you know they didn't buy it??? And it's wrapped for a reason!
DeleteHow do you know they didn't buy that candy bar?
DeleteHow do you know they have no intention of buying it?
DeleteSo maybe they bought it.
DeleteSo nice to see them having fun and they look great!
DeleteAnd you know they didn't buy it?? You need a lesson from Thumper's mother: if you can't say something nice, don't say as nothing at all.
DeleteHow do u know for positively sure 100% that they did not buy some...seriously...lighten up a little, it's no big deal to nitpick over something so trivial as a candy bar.
DeleteTo 8:35 - Maybe they did buy the candy bar? Agree with what and how your mom taught you though!
DeleteDo you think rules for adults might be a bit different than rules for small children?
Delete1. Who said they didn't buy it?
Delete2. Adults are mature enough to pick something up in a store.
3. I hope you have a good day!
Not that it matters but it looks like a Bed, Bath and Beyond store or possibly a Cracker Barrel. And yes there are thrift stores here that sell candy bars. Not second hand but they have suppliers they order from or other stores that have too much inventory will donate the extra to the thrift stores.
DeleteThank you Bates fan. You made my day😊
DeleteThat's an, uh, interesting point of view!
DeleteThey sell candy bars in thrift stores?
ReplyDeleteI would never have thought to act like that in a store, much less have my picture taken doing it.
ReplyDeleteAct like what? Smiling and having a good day? You've never touched an item in a store?
DeleteHow about posting it online then for the whole world to see? Not funny.
DeleteI have tried one before. We gave it to my great grandma her last names Hunckler she let us try some good but very chewy
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess their mommies weren't there that day to tell them not to touch.
ReplyDeleteWow, I almost fainted a post with mostly positive comments, how refreshing, maybe just maybe some disgruntled folks got the Christmas bug, I hope😉PRAYERS TO ALL😆
ReplyDeleteBig Hunks - wow, they ARE chewy, I'll give them that...and they're great for yanking out your fillings.
ReplyDeleteAdorable picture, looks like a fun lighthearted moment!
ReplyDeleteAt their age they could take out a piece of tooth chewing on one of those nougat bars.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it could have been a lighthearted moment, but does Michelle always have to build up Jim Bob's confidence? It's pretty sad that it seems so. Just tired of the same old with these two. I'm sure they kissed after that picture was taken, too.
ReplyDeleteA married couple has fun on a shopping trip during which they spontaneously kiss? *gasp* A wife who loves her husband enjoys complimenting him and making him feel good about himself? *shock* This is called being part of a happy, strong relationship.
DeleteHaha -- yes, they probably kissed after the photo was taken.
