Season three of Counting On premieres in just a few weeks! TLC has not yet announced the date, but rest assured the Duggars will be back on reality TV by mid January.
At those point, we can share the details of two of the episodes. There will be one at the beginning of the season that will show footage from Jinger's wedding dress shopping experience, as well as other aspects of the wedding planning saga.
Later in season three, TLC plans to air a two-hour "wedding premiere."
To learn more about Renee Miller, the woman who custom designed Jinger's wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses, and to submit questions for her about her experience working with the Duggars, check out yesterday's post. Merry Christmas to the Duggar family and God Bless you in the New year
ReplyDeleteIf season 3 begins with back log of Jess's and Jeremy's pre wedding prep-I'm not interested.
ReplyDeleteYou must have not watched it that much... you don't even know what sister married Jeremy!!!! Jinger
DeleteEven the most avid Duggar fan gets names mixed up sometimes. Lighten up. I'll bet Michelle herself goes through 5 or 6 "J" names til she finally calls out the right one. What parent hasn't?
Deletemove forward show new things.
DeleteBut they've ready aired the wedding so what's the couple hour wedding ep about? Not another repeat please..tired of repeats
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious Anna's pregnant in this picture, so why aren't the Duggars announcing it??
ReplyDeleteStay tuned!!!
DeleteI'm wondering if something happened. She sure looked that way this summer but then not so much at Jinger's wedding. That could be why they're not talking. ????
DeleteI would love to see the honeymoon pictures :). I didn't go on social media the week my husband and I were on our honeymoon, but I posted pics when we got back. I hope they had a great time :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
ReplyDeleteI don't have tv at my house but I'm looking forward to webisodes, recaps, and photos from Lily and Ellie. Thank you for running this blog, it's a lot of work I'm sure. Let's give them some encouragement and positive feedback.
ReplyDeleteHolly
Agreed it's just the same footage over and over.
ReplyDeleteI guess they had to show the wedding first to try to save that season. And announce Joy's news so you'd stay interested. I can't imagine what else they have to show in a new season other than old news & old footage...or footage of very mundane activities. This show has worn itself thin.
ReplyDeletePlease try to be nice. If you don't like the show then the best thing to do is stop watching our reading their blogs. I don't understand why people have to be so hateful.
DeleteAnd I don't understand why this show has to drag on after this family wasn't supposed to have a show any more. Nobody seems willing to explain what's going on with that.
DeleteMaybe they still have a show because enough viewers contacted TLC to request it.

DeleteThe comment you responded to was a far cry from being hateful.
It was simply an opinion. Not all opinions need to be complimentary. The Duggars might just learn something from them.
They didn't show the reception, so they will probably show the wedding again along with the reception. I am looking forward to watching it again. It was such a beautiful wedding. I am glad they didn't make us wait until season 3 to show the wedding. I am interested to see all the planning details leading up to their big day.
ReplyDeleteI love the show, repeats or not. The Duggars bring a much needed dose of live, faith, and morality to television.
ReplyDeleteReally? I know they used to. But they don't mention God any more. It's so sad.
DeleteSorry, but I have to agree with the 2 earlier comments. If they don't move on to something besides Jinger's wedding, Jinger's dress, Jinger's courtship then I'm going to move on to some other show. I like Jinger, but there are 19 kids, right?
ReplyDeleteHear, hear!
DeleteJill is going to announce a second pregnancy, Jessa will give birth to her second child and maybe there will be a second courtship.
ReplyDeletetlc doesnt need to re-air the weddings of the duggar young women again they should of aired jinger/jeremey,s pre-wedding plan then the wedding its self
ReplyDeleteAnna looks sooooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteI don't understand why this family is still on TV. Show us something new, like Jana's first day of college.
ReplyDeleteI missed the wedding so if you will aired it again I will be so pleased
ReplyDeleteI can share some insider details of the new season. Weddings, courtships, babies, party/shower planning, seasons of life, exciting announcements, special projects, photo sessions, and family trips!! You heard it here first!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, that sounds oddly familiar. Am I having deja vu???
DeleteI love the show exactly as it is! It has shown wedding preparation details dating back to 2008, as well as other "mundane activities" since the show first aired as 17 Kids and Counting. This is called daily life. If fans believed that it "has worn itself thin," the show would never have lasted ten years! This longevity proves that most fans like the show in the current format - because it is the same format it has always followed. We want to see the details of this family's daily life, and find this sufficiently exciting to bring us back to watch week after week for ten years!
DeleteOh please, even the best of TV shows have always run their courses. That's the way TV is. Out with the old, in with the new.
DeleteYou mean season 4? Or do you mean mid-season premiere of season 3?
ReplyDeleteSeason 2 was a recap after recap. Seems like season 3 will be more of the same. Will probably not watch if it's like Season 2 was, which is a shame because I really enjoy this family.
ReplyDeleteSounds uber boring. Weddings again?
ReplyDeleteTLC just wants money. They only hurt the girls because people are tired of old topics. Back filling is unfair to the viewer. They should have held off showing the wedding despite contracts with people magazine.
ReplyDeleteIt just doesn't seem to do the family justice.
Yes, TLC is a business and they do only want money. They're not a charity.
DeleteThe show is so messed up it's beyond saving. Someone is forcing it, that's all I can think of for why it's staying on the air. The ratings have tanked. The viewers are bored.
DeleteWhen will it air in Australia?
ReplyDeleteI agree. This is not a new season. It's covering old material, and will rely on hours of previously seen footage. TLC, give your viewers some credit.
ReplyDeleteEnough of wedding. Should have showed in order. Give us something new.
ReplyDeleteNo pre wedding prep please
ReplyDeleteThe toothpaste is out of the tube, folks. The actual "wedding premier" has aired.
ReplyDeleteMAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN THIS HOLIDAY SEASON I LOVE THIS SHOW AND PRAY FOR YOU OFTEN
ReplyDeleteI was a little disappointed with the wedding episode they did because it really only consisted of footage with no interviews. Hoping they add a little more substance to this episode.
ReplyDeleteIts time to end this. Nothing but rehash over and over on weddings. Isn't it about time all "reality" tv run its course?
ReplyDeleteThat's all the show really is any more: flashbacks in an attempt to scrounge together footage. Ho hum. I would watch if there was anything new to see
ReplyDeleteThe "wedding premier" is a misnomer on TLC's part, since the wedding has already premiered. However, I was super happy that we got to see the wedding so soon after it happened and am looking forward to maybe their filling in the cracks this time with more coverage. Can't wait to see the part about her dress!
ReplyDeleteThey could have just stopped after that wedding. That would have made a good series ending. The upcoming shows are going to be predictable...Jill not wanting to leave family...Derick and Ben only dabbling at work...Jessa holding onto her stomach...Joy non-stop texting a boy...Jim Bob and Michelle making appearances on a show that was supposedly not about them, since theirs was canceled...Anna crying and sighing... Please, TLC, come to your senses with this.
DeleteSeason 3? Lather, rinse, repeat!
ReplyDeleteYep, putting the "repeat" in that phrase!
DeleteSo true.
DeleteIf their gonna do repeats etc it might be best to just cancel the show and just do the occational special. Enough old news
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree also, it's not that they were away at a family event. This site does sit not updated with posts for days at a time. It didn't used to be that way. If it IS volunteer work on Lily and Ellie's behalf, why are they doing it?
ReplyDeleteSometimes life gets in the way! I appreciate when they do post and have more important things to think about when they don't.
DeleteThey(Lily and Ellie) do it as a service to mostly Duggar fans. Of course there are non fans as well that post here. I'm personally grateful for the hard work you two ladies put into the site. With the bickering that goes on here I'm sure you two have thought about taking the site down. And I'm sure with some of the harsh comments you have had to read before they are approved you have had to hold your tongue(something I need the Lord's help with!) and pray for grace. Anyway, Merry Christmas and keep up the good work.
