Messages for Jinger and Jeremy

It has been just over 24 hours since Jinger Duggar became Jinger Vuolo. The sixth oldest child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo yesterday at John Brown University's Cathedral of the Ozarks in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. (Click here for more details.) We posted a video message from the couple, as well as the link to the first official wedding photo.

In the following video clips, Jeremy Vuolo's grandparents, as well as three of Jinger's brothers (Justin Duggar, Jackson Duggar, and Jeremiah Duggar) offer their congratulations to the newlyweds.

  3. After Jinger's wedding dress photo, the picture that we all want to see is Michelle. What did she wear to this wedding?

  4. Do the Duggar young women know about "dress shoes"? Those casual, summer wedgie sandals under those formal, full length gowns did not go with the dress. A nice, satin pump, dyed to the color dress would have looked great. They also all needed a proper hem on those gowns...too long. JB also needs to have those suit pants hemmed up...too long on him, too.
Jeremy's pants were too tight and too short. Brown shoes didn't look good either. He needed a black dress shoe. The shoes of the Duggar men that I saw, were all old and dirty. They all needed men's black dress shoes and POLISH them before a wedding or a funeral. It's the decent courteous thing to do for such events.

    1. Thanks, Mr. Blackwell. Yes, there were some fashion lapses in both bridal party and guests on Saturday, but we're supposed to overlook them and focus only on the ceremony and its meaning. However...there you had a bride done up to the 9's and a bunch of people around her who didn't quite meet that same bar. They're trying! Each wedding has gotten a tiny bit better. Maybe by Josie's, they'll have this whole wedding thing down pat. And give 1000 guests a proper catered reception dinner, like other brides do.

    2. Good grief, what are you a professional wedding critiquer? Just because it's not what YOU would do, doesn't mean it's not proper and beautiful! Personally, I love those wedge sandals and dislike satin pumps. I love long dresses too, and the brown shoes looked fine!

    3. I just wrote a seriously sarcastic reply, but I couldn't go through with posting it.

Luckily getting married isn't about shoes, pants, dresses and over all fashion, because boy, according to you they failed catastrophically. I doubt the Duggars don't know about dress shoes, more than likely they realize that worldly fashions don't matter. A wedding is about a man and a woman coming together with love and commitment to each-other, professing it to God and the congregation. What they wear, how its decorated are quite secondary and tertiary to the power of the message of a union. I hope that becomes evident to you when the episode airs.

      God bless

PS: Blessings on the young couple, may God guide them and bless them all the days of their lives. May their children and grandchildren come up to follow the Lord.

    4. oh wow, do you believe they did anything right? I mean how could they overlook these important details on their day....however maybe they didn't think it too important, maybe, just maybe they were focused on the lifelong covenant they were respectively giving or witnessing...just a thought

    6. Yes, because the day is all about the clothes. 🙄

    7. Really? I don't think it's either decent or courteous when your first reaction to such a beautiful event is to rip apart what everyone is wearing. If Jinger and Jeremy and their families are comfortable with their attire, the rest of us should probably stay out of it.

    9. You know I just love the Duggar family but I have to agree with your observations. As much as I love Derick that picture of him entering the church with Jill and his "man bun" made him look like Ichabod Crane from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I loved his clean cut looks from their courtship days! Ugh! I think he's an awesome person but wish he would adopt a style that makes him be taken more seriously.

    10. If you don't have something nice to day....don't say anything at all!

    13. This is off topic a little but I don't think the Duggers really care about shoes. I can't imagine trying to find the right pair amongst the plethora of shoes they have. One thing I have noticed is day to day they often wear inappropriate foot attire for the occasion. Hiking in flip flops is very dangerous. I do occasionally want to suggest tennis shoes. The shoes in this case were appropriate for the occasion perhaps just not to everyones taste. I did plan weddings and really My only thing was I think it would have been nice if they had picked maybe only 3 colours for the bride's maids . On the other hand, I can understand why the girls would each want their own colour so they could re-ware them, perhaps hemmed a little for another occasion and different style. I think this wedding was the nicest yet. Cindy gave it a classic beauty. Sierra works hard and is developing her skills, but I liked Miss Cindy's touches. Jesse's Dress is still my favourite. Ginger looked beautiful and it suited her. Ginger's was classically elegant. I just re-watced the brides maids part and might change my mind about the bridal dresses. On it's own Jinger's Dress is truly beautiful not super practical but it is a wedding dress I don't think practicality was Ginger's modus operandi. I dig that, in years to come the photos will be beautiful and it is all about the bride and groom photos when it comes to visual wedding memories. All the while Jill wanted Shabby chic, and Jessa wasn't overly into the minutia of the wedding, she wanted hot dogs if I remember correctly, her taste and personality. I planned a fancy dress party where the food was comfort food and people loved it! A wedding is very personal and I find nothing wrong in making it your own.

    14. Personally, I was watching the wedding on TV and was enjoying what was going on and was very happy for Hunger and Jeremy. I was not busy looking for ways to criticize the wedding party and the type of reception they had. I thought it was all very wonderful. People who just want to criticize, get a life.

  5. My oh my! Who made you the "fashion police" ? Now that you have had your rant on everything you perceive as wrong, can you think of anything nice to say? Might be just me but I find I have a lot more joy if I focus on things of the heart rather than things that don't really matter eg. fashion. That's what I love about the Duggars, they care more about people than things!! Bless you Duggars you are all beautiful and it starts within. God Bless!!

  10. What does Jeremy's grandfather want to happen to them after 66 years of marriage? I little weird if you ask me.

    1. Guess he's referring to how long he's had. It did sound odd, but then you have to remember, you're at a wedding and someone puts a camera in your face, and you're expected to say something profound on the spur of the moment. Not easy.

  12. Now everything for the next year will be about jinger on this blog...

Can we hear about SOMEONE ELSE?! Just because the other siblings aren't married doesn't make them matter less

  13. I'd like to ask what this means for Jinger's profession of flipping cars. Is she going to be able to continue that line of work in Laredo? Because that's what we were told she was working at these days. She had that sale on camera and everything. Hope she can continue to follow her dream.

    1. Somehow I don't think that is her chosen profession. That was staged and someone was conscripted to play the role of car buyer. I do hope she has career goals. Everyone needs to have dreams and develop their talents. She has talent in photography, maybe she could take some classes to get really good. Alas, that probably won't happen but I will be rooting for her!

    2. I wish Jinger would do a degree in fine art with a focus on photography, however, one of my degrees in in Fine art and Art History and it is very progressive. I am quite progressive as is art so I don't see that happening but I think Scott went to Yale and they hit the mother load having him there learning from him. I hope he continues to help her.
