Duggar Wedding Hair

"Giving another daughter away is really hard. We're thrilled, and yet we're going to miss her."
-Michelle Duggar

In this scene from Jinger Duggar's wedding day, mom Michelle Duggar joins the bride and bridesmaids as they prepare for the big event. And almost-seven-year-old Josie Duggar receives a visit from the the nurse who cared for her in the NICU.

  1. I grew up with the saying "A son is a son until he takes a wife, a daughter is a daughter for the rest of your life". The Duggars believe the opposite I guess...they keep their sons, and give their daughters away?

  2. I'm really surprised Jordyn wasn't the flower girl. Although Johannah was Jinger's buddy and Jordyn was Jessa's, I always noticed that jessa and jinger kinda shared their buddy duties with each other on the show. I noticed on 19kac that Jinger had an extra special bond with Jordyn so I figured she would have been the flower girl.

  3. Are they in a men's room??

  4. They're reality show millionaires with 1000 guests invited to this wedding, TLC and People are paying for the rights to show it, and all they can give for bridesmaid gifts are some Rolo candies in a craft store jar with a costume jewelry necklace? That's not right.

    1. Rude. It's sweet and simple. You're not a bridesmaid to get lavish gifts.

    2. Boy, even I gave sterling jewelry to my bridesmaids, although I was working two jobs and had zero savings when I got married!

  5. Did anyone else think "crown of thorns" in that scene?

    1. It does look like a crown of thorns. A sweet scene with Josie and her nurse.

    2. No, and I'm a minister. I've seen lots of "bridal-wreath" headpieces.

  6. That was a sweet part of the episode. I'm glad Michelle had her help so she could return to the girls. Josie is a sweet child but seems to need special care.

  7. Why are the Duggars always so secretive about Josie's special needs??

    1. I have not noticed that she has any residual special needs; she seems bright, alert and smart and active!

    2. I don't think they think she has any

    3. Because if she has special needs it's none of our business. And if Josie has special needs the naysayers will have evil things to say about Michelle and Josie.

    4. She had a seizure on camera and they made it a feature in one of the episodes. How is that keeping it none of our business?

    5. It seems as though not very much in the Duggars' lives is kept private. They use it all for storylines in the show.

  8. What are Josie's "special needs" that everyone keeps talking about? I didn't notice anything abnormal for her age in this scene.

  9. The Duggars seem to be secretive about much more than Josie's "special" needs.
There are only 7 kids still in "school". Why does Michelle need a live in tutor? Isn't the mother supposed to supply the homeschooling classes? She isn't busy doing anything else is she?
