Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo have been engaged for 12 weeks. That's the exact length of Jill Duggar's engagement to Derick Dillard and even longer than Jessa Duggar's 11-week-and-two-day engagement to Ben Seewald.
So when will wedding bells be ringing for this new Duggar couple? Jinger and Jeremy have chosen not to make their wedding date public. They decided from the start to do their celebration a bit differently than Jill and Jessa did. Rather than hosting a huge event with more than 1,000 guests, the future Mr. and Mrs. Vuolo desire for their special day to be shared only by family and close friends.

DeleteI love that they're keeping it private! I think they'll be so glad they chose to do it that way. I bet they get married between mid November and mid December. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they waited until January or February. I hope they let the show film it but if they don't I totally respect their decision.

DeleteKeeping your wedding date a secret is silly. What are you going to do on the invitations? Write "Surprise!" for the date? How do you buy a dress, book a venue, and line up everything else with a "secret" wedding date? Are you making everyone involved sign nondisclosure agreements? Are you registering under a fake name? What are J&J afraid of? Like they don't like publicity...

DeleteI think those invited probably got a disclaimer in the invitation, to please not disclose details on social media. They may have registered under code names that only closest of friends/family know. Why? My guess is that they want their wedding to be like any of ours; where not everyone in the world knows. And considering all, I really don't blame them. My guess is that they just got married last weekend. I'd love if it was in that chapel where Ben and Jessa got engaged, or somewhere that's similar.
DeleteCelebrities do it all the time...it's called non-disclosure contracts where if a company spills the beans they can be sued. You can't blame them for wanting privacy. A wedding is a personal matter and if the two don't want the world impeding on their vows than that's their prerogative. Don't blame a couple for wanting privacy! There is nothing wrong with that.

ReplyDeleteVERY WISE DECISION! Some things should be private and not for public consumption and I think a wedding fits that category. Now if only they would turn the cameras off completely except for maybe a once or twice a year catch up special. BTW, I would also put giving birth in the "NOT FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION" category too! Love me some Duggars, but not at the expense of their well-being, especially the younger kids! Oh - when will the wedding be? I'd say they're already married!

While I wish we were able to witness the wedding I am happy that they are making it to their own wishes. It is always so joyous to see a man and woman come together in the name of God.

We had a big one and you know I actually enjoyed it. Hey but that is not for everyone. My wedding was not broadcast on tv and I did not have a bunch of people to critique my wedding. It is Jinger and Jeremy's day not ours.

However, I sure will miss all of the glitz and glitter these weddings bring to TV, not to mention the testimony it gives to the world. I love that JimBob and Michelle have and are bringing up their children they way the Bible tells us too. I have read so many comments on line on how people think this is a cult when in reality this is how God wants it. Blessings to the new couple. By the way, it is so good to see JimBob and Michelle back on the air. We have missed them.

This is what I see in the Duggars and I admire them for that. Thank-you for that Duggars, you are such an inspiration to me as I pray for and mentor to my lost children and grandchildren. God is Good All the Time and All the Time God is Good!
DeleteHow God wants what, exactly? To follow the Duggars' ideology point by point? Somehow I don't think they necessarily have a private line to Him and certainly do not have a better understanding of the Bible than anyone else. It has been a source of dispute for eons. I know of many people from many different faiths, some atheists, who are raising or have raised fine and upstanding families. Following the Golden Rule does not require an advanced degree in theology or membership in any church.

ReplyDeleteDecember 11 is also the day Jubilee was stillborn. So they may respect that day and choose another if it is a December wedding. But I think it will be before the holidays so they can have their first holidays as a married couple with their families.

ReplyDeleteI just watched some of the proposal episode last night. Grandma Vuolo was adorable, the star of the show. I was surprised at Jinger's flirtatiousness with Jeremy -- both that she knew how to do it, having been raised as she was, and that she did it in front of so family and on film.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad they decided to go smaller, although with a family that size, you can't get too small. Those 1,000 guest weddings and parking lot receptions were ridiculous. How can you visit with your guests when there are that many? If you gave each of those 1,000 guests 10 seconds of your time, you'd be greeting non-stop for almost 3 hours. Plus who realistically needs that many wedding presents?

ReplyDeleteI think a New York wedding in early December is a possibility! As we saw in the engagement episode Jeremy has strong and happy roots there, and his family is close by. However the down side would be getting all of Jinger' s family up there, but it can be done. Congratulations to this lovely and gracious couple!

ReplyDeleteI too have wondered if they are already married. The Duggars have been so strict with courtship and this may be the reason they have had so much physical contact. I am not sure though. When Jeremy asked Jinger to court him, their body language looked like they had already kissed. Jeremy did not say for sure that they would not kiss before marriage, however. Also, Jill and Derick were supposed to be back for either 12 or 16 weeks, I can't remember, so if they are not married yet, it will be soon, since they are back for two family weddings. Just a few thoughts.

During the show that aired Tuesday, Jinger said their wedding was only a few weeks away and Jessa said she was 17 1/2 weeks pregnant and now she is 25 weeks? Sounds to me like Jinger and Jeremy are already married. Can you confirm this Ellie?
